Casa francese became our home for a soft Italian week. We went with little expectation and no research on montegrazie or imperia and found ourself in a very welcoming corner of Italy filled with sun and love. The appartment was comfortable and felt homey very soon. It is artistic, minimal, spacey and beautiful. We had an amazing view to the church in the front hill from our room that I will never forget.

We had a lovely time and were able to do a lot. Augustino personally welcomed us warmly. In the kitchen, we found a fruit basket, 1 bottle of milk, juice, tea and cakes as a welcome. We were very happy about that - thank you very much. We and our dog felt very comfortable. The access to the house is steep and narrow. We only used the parking in front of the house on arrival and departure. A few meters above was a large parking lot right by the church. We went shopping in Imperia (Lidl, Carrefour, Eurospin) or at Bennet, which was on the way.

Casa Rossa is truly a slice of heaven. Stunning, perfect location. Walking through the garden on the first night, we got “lost” as it got dark. And then magically these beautiful lights started to light a path up to our guest house. It brought moments of surprise and awe everyday. And everyone can use a little more of that in their lives. Tip: don’t drive your car and walk to the port/restaurants from the garden’s private gate. Tip: don’t use the AC in bedroom and sleep with windows open to enjoy the sound of the waves and ocean breeze. Tip: to the right of the driveway, there’s an amazing “hidden” bench down a long pathway - you have to duck under a tree and then when you sit - you will find one of the most beautiful views in the world. I think views like that created poetry, philosophy, and art. We had a truly amazing time. Daniela was so lovely as a hostess - thank you for our gift.
