Deer are daily visitors, along with a variety of wild birds and many other friendly critters.

Country Home full of peacefulness all to yourself

Country peacefulness is a great description of this place, as peace and quiet was exactly what I was looking for. The neighboring horses, goats and a long haired Highland cow named Penelope were fun to watch. The house was very clean and spacious. The bed was super comfy, and I appreciated the blackout curtains. The town of Independence is less than 10 minutes away and has plenty of dining options and is well lit at night. Annette’s home is a GREAT place to relax and unwind with all the comforts of home. Would definitely stay again!

The house was beautiful. Everything you could possibly need was available at the home. Very welcoming. Sour dough bread and farm fresh eggs and other food was there for us when we checked in, even smore stuff for the backyard fire pit and so peaceful. Susan was an amazing host!

Super cute studio cottage with that perfect balance of historic charm and modern updates! It was the perfect size and had all the things we needed to feel at home. Definitely appreciated the laundry access, dishwasher, easy parking and peaceful location. Wish we could have stayed for much longer! Lee Ann was a wonderful and welcoming host as well.
