Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Mid Devon District

My boyfriend and I visited with two friends, so we booked the entire barn. Helen was there to meet us when we arrived and offered us a tea and coffee with biscuits. We found the barn to be spotlessly clean. The soft furnishings and interior design were lovely quality and comfortable. The beds are lovely and comfortable. The quality and choice of breakfast was amazing and they catered for a vegetarian and gluten free. Helen was a great host who couldn't do enough for us. The grounds are pretty and peaceful with lovely views of the Countryside. The photos dont do this place justice. We really couldnt rate this place highly enough. Thanks Jen

We wanted a last minute place for the bank holiday and what a wonderful place it was! Julia’s farm was lovely the setting was amazing. Peaceful, stunning views and lots of friendly animals. Julia herself was a great host nothing was too much trouble. Everything from showing us around, tips with the hot tub and ideas for what we could do throughout the days. We’d love to go back for a night or five. Would highly recommend

Lovely cottage, exactly as described with cats and quirks, cute and old with lots of character. Cats were lovely, even the slightly grumpy one, breakfast was well above expectations. Delicious! Comfy bed too. Great place, sad we only stayed one night really!

Lizzie was a lovely host - very friendly and welcoming. The room had everything we needed, although small, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. A great location - right on the waterside in Dartmouth - and breakfast was excellent.

Love staying here! Kenny is a fantastic host and we cant recommend her any it enough. Already looking forward to our next trip!

Belinda was very helpful about me needing to check in a bit early, very accommodating with my little dog, and also very welcoming and a lovely host. Breakfast was delicious - lovely granola with blueberries and yoghurt, perfect. She recommended various supper options and I tried the Cott Inn - fabulous food (I had the pea, shallot and sage tortelloni) and also dog friendly. I was visiting Totnes in order to go on a tour of the Agroforestry Research Trust which is a pioneering forest garden full of interesting edibles grown without needing much maintenance - ideal for growing healthy food at home alongside a busy lifestyle. The tour was great - and Belinda’s home was only a 15 min walk away, so it all worked out very well.

Amazing find of a place on the south side of Plymouth, near ferry departures. Friendly, helpful host and excellent response times. Great value.

We stayed at Caroline’s beautiful B&B for 2 nights for a wedding in the area. Caroline was so helpful and friendly ahead of the check-in and really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome on arrival. The super king en-suite bedroom was full of charm, had breathtaking views and a very comfortable bed! The breakfast was lovely and non-dairy milk was available as I had requested. I would highly recommend Caroline’s place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

We can only praise the short stay we had with Shan and her family. Beautiful place . Everything we needed and more . The most friendly of people too . Breakfast was really lovely as well . Would definitely recommend and would love to visit again .

I had a lovely 4 night stay, the room is very spacious and furnished with every thing you need. They have a lovely home and are great hosts. The breakfast has a great selection and feels very homely. You can sit in the garden on comfortable furniture which is great to relax in. The sea is only a few minutes away, no need for a car. A great location to explore the Island and has two lovely gardens close by and well and the rest of the coast. I plan to go back sometime in the near future.

David and Paul are clearly experienced hosts. Very nice, open (and funny) and super helpful. We warmly recommend this airbnb. If we ever do anything in the neighborhood, we'd love to come and enjoy the delicious breakfast again!

Carefully appointed rooms with lots of thoughtful additions, a delicious breakfast provided, checked in often to see if I needed anything, and helped with what to do locally. I had a fantastic time here.

Ken and Tiejun were great hosts and we were made to feel right at home. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed, and there were lots of thoughtful touches like a flask of fresh milk. The location was quiet and the breakfast generous. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had a wonderful time in Stuart and Jaynes place. They were both very discreet and always available to help. The rooms were very comfy, the place was spotless, breakfast was extensive. Stuart brought us into town and back twice, which was really above and beyond what we expected. Looking forward to welcoming them to france to return the hospitality!

Had a really super stay at Bettina’s, she is so kind, welcoming and authentic. Her place is nice and clean, there is a tv and tea and coffee making facilities and clean towels in the room plus a great guide to the facilities available, local features and even local history. We had a wonderful stay here. Both the house and our room were lovely and spacious, exactly what we were hoping for. We received such a warm and friendly welcome from David & Winston the dog which made us feel right at home straight away. We met Claudine later and she was just as friendly and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable, the shower was nice and hot and we had everything we needed for our stay. David came to chat to us as we left and wished us all the best on the rest of our travels which was lovely. Highly recommend! Thank you so much David & Claudine!

I arrived tired after driving through lashing rain. I was made to feel immensely welcome. Everything was very fine indeed and Rachel had put a lot of thought into providing everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Lovely home, felt relaxed and welcome. Very peaceful so had a great sleep followed by a very generous breakfast. Wish I could have stayed longer - next time!

Anne is a wonderful hostess, gave us a very warm welcome and recommendations! What a beautiful setting and the surroundings! Beautiful house and so quiet and peaceful just what we wanted in the magnificent Devon countryside. Exactly as in the photos and described. We stayed only one night unfortunately but would have loved to have stayed a week it was so beautiful there. Breakfast also was great and fresh sourdough bread Anne had just baked. Had a lovely walk around after breakfast and saw the horses, hens, sheep, stunning landscape and natural beautiful countryside. What a lovely dog Mack they have, he is so timid and welcoming also. Jacquline was lovely and provided great instructions to help us get there, park and get in. The suite was perfect for me and my partner, nice and open, big space to relax in and the amenities that were described - we loved the coffee bags. Location allowed us to drive 20 minutes to coast and organise walks etc whilst also having dinner in lovely seaside villages/towns. Price was about right for the weekend we wanted. Thanks very much for the stay, we had a fantastic weekend.

Claire kept us very well informed about the room. Check in was a breeze and the room was perfect.. no stairs and plenty of space for our bags. It can be hard to get a bed right for everyone (people are such fussy sleepers at times) but we found it very comfortable indeed (and very big). We met Claire in the kitchen and she was lovely. Thoroughly recommend if you are in the area
