We used the cottage as the base for our golf weekend and it was perfect for what we were after. The hot tub was a big hit and the BBQ was excellent - all shared spaces were perfect for what we were after. Would recommend to anyone and Ben is an excellent and flexible host!

Peaceful cottage in Parwich village with hot tub

SophieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Caroline's place was lovely, a peaceful break in the countryside! A reasonable distance from some of the attractions of the Peak District, including the Tissington Trail and Thor's Cave. The village was quaint and we had a lovely meal in the local pub, The Sycamore (recommended by Caroline). The only downside was the typical British summer weather raining down on us - wish us better luck next time!

Modern cottage in a stunning Peak District setting

KrishnaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our family of six (2 adults, 3 kids and 1 dog) enjoyed our long weekend at Sarah's place. The house was spotless, the kitchen well equipped and Sarah had thoughtfully left milk, delicious bread and coffee for us. Great location for exploring the lower peak district - we walked to/from Thor's Cave, enjoyed a pub lunch at the Royal Oak, cycled the Tissington trail and relished the hot tub. It was a great stay!

Kitchen was well equipped and great experience cooking on the Everhot Stove! Rupert is very welcoming and friendly and easy to chat to about anything you might need to know. Character Self-contained Cottage

JacquelineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Perfect place to stay if you’re looking for peace and quiet but also ideally located for me to visit family and friends scattered within a twenty mile radius. Everything is there, in the the cottage, for your convenience. If I could make one suggestion however, for people like myself who have travelled from overseas, a small drop of milk to make tea on arrival would have been lovely. Such a tiny detail though and certainly did not detract from a lovely stay!

Angel Cottage - 5 mins drive to Alton Towers!

JoRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Amazing location for Alton Towers and cottage was great space and worked well for the family. Only niggle was a noise monitor that pinged us saying we were being too loud - we were a family group with a baby all in bed by 10:30pm and spent the evening playing board games- so hardly rock n roll and it was 8pm on a Saturday when we started getting alerts whilst playing board games - felt a bit like we couldn’t speak or laugh - maybe lower tolerance of the monitor or just do it later ?

Stone Rise Cottage, Belper

StephenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic long weekend staying in Nicola’s lovely period cottage, set in a quiet but continently close to town part of Belper, with everything we needed on the doorstep. The cottage has beautiful period features and was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy so we slept well. We really enjoyed our stay and the cottage made an excellent base whilst we explored the surrounding areas including the stunning Peak District. Thanks for having us!

Wonderful view from cosy cottage with sunny garden

KimberleyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
My Mum and I stayed for 3 nights at Lacemaker Cottage and we didn’t want to leave! It looks exactly like the photos and is a beautiful, welcoming and cosy cottage. The garden is perfect for sitting out with a cup of tea and admiring the beautiful view of the rolling Derbyshire hills. The location is great too with Wirksworth High St just a few minutes walk. We really appreciated the recommendations from Dawn & also her swift and clear communication. We walked up to the StarDisc & had a lovely meal at Le Mistral. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you Dawn!

Thank you so much Lucie for letting us stay in your incredible cottage. It was so much more than we could ever have dreamed of with quiet and peaceful surroundings, and incredible outdoor space and secret garden, plenty of local walks and yet close to both Loughborough and Leicester. The cottage was immaculately clean and tidy and communication was quick and easy throughout. We have LOVED our stay and would highly recommend your place to anyone and everyone! For potential bookers: Definitely visit Bradgate Park Deer Sanctuary and if you're around on a Sunday, why not visit one of the car boots in the area! So many different things to see and do!

Cheese Press Cottage - overlooking Biggin Dale

LorraineRating, 5 stars6 days ago
What a fabulous place! We were greeted by Socks the sheep and his two companions and that was the start of our welcome. The small garden was well-kept and the view was just amazing. We walked into the property and straight away felt at home. The lamp had been lit and everything was well set out and absolutely spotless. As we explored, we found a well-stocked firewood basket, a jug of fresh milk (in the fridge) and a tin which was full of really chocolatey brownies (yum!). The kitchen had oils, seasonings and well stocked cupboards which were full of every plate, dish and glass you could need. Jane had provided several tea towels, washing up liquid, cling-film, tin foil, paper towels and napkins. The bathroom had toiletries and big, white, fluffy towels. In the bedroom, the bedding was clean and crisp and best of all - the most comfortable mattress (away from home) that we have ever slept in. It really was a home away from home. Can’t wait to stay again.
