This impressive building was a former music school, which has been renovated and turned into stunning private duplex apartments. This ensemble is more than a century old and has some very typical Belgian features with terraces, gardens, red bricks and metal beams. This beautiful home is very quiet and has a lot of lights flowing in. It comes with a large open kitchen fully equipped, bed linen and towels are provided as well. Digital TV and Wifi are available. Bedroom with king size box-spring. The bookshelves offer a nice choice of travel guides in English and Philosophy readings in Dutch! From there, you can walk to the main square where the weekly (Saturday before 13h00) fresh market is located with a wonderful choice of vegetables, fruits, flowers and other local products. The main train station is also accessible, Brussels and Antwerp are only 20 mn away with direct lines. A place for bikes is available, a local supermarket is also nearby as well as relaxing cafes and restaurants. Finally, the National Airport of Zaventem can be reached in 15 mn by taxi when there is no traffic.

This is a beautifully renovated studio on the first floor. The space is nicely decorated. The studio consists of an open kitchen, double bunk bed, salon, terrace and separate bathroom with rain shower. Ideal for 2 to 4 people. The seat can be transformed into a sofa bed. Separate entrance with numerical code. The terrace offers a nice view of the garden of the owners who live next door to the house. Downstairs is inhabited. €5/room/night tourist tax Mechelen not included.

I had a wonderful stay in Griet’s loft. She’s a warm, generous, and exceptionally thoughtful host—very communicative and accommodating. The location is perfect: quiet, safe, and just a short walk to town. I was traveling solo for work and felt completely at ease. There’s a charming bakery a block away, and waking up to birdsong and the smell of fresh bread was magical. The loft had everything I needed to cook, and Griet thoughtfully stocked some essentials like milk and eggs before I arrived. There’s also a EuroShop nearby for anything you might forget. Highly recommend!

Sarah received us with an outstanding place. The house is perfect to fit a family or group of friends to explore Mechelen surroundings. With a great location to visit other Belgium cities. The park entrance at 2 min let you explore an incredible park, I will totally recommend to visit it. All local recommendations shared by Sarah were incredible. Enough space to park a car o bikes in a safe location. We were surprised with mechelen of how peaceful and beautiful it is

Neat and well-equipped accommodation with nice private bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub. The bedroom with refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine is spacious. The bed very comfortable. Station is about 20 minutes' walk. Had a nice weekend stay at Tress. Worth repeating.
