Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Margaret River

Christy’s place is truly a dream to come back to after a long day exploring the Margaret River region. Well kept, quality finishings and amenities - we really couldn’t ask for more. It’s so peaceful to wake up to parrots chirping and the trees swaying in the early-winter breeze. We hope to be back again some day!

Thank you so much to Reed and Ariana for being such lovely hosts. They did their best to provide what we needed, and were very responsive. Even had a playmat for our baby. Our older boys loved meeting their family (when they popped by with baby and dog), to provide us some things we needed at last minute. It was also not at all intrusive to have them living right across from us. Very respectful of our space, and in fact a pleasure whenever we bumped into them. Thank you so much for then lovely stay.

We’ve stayed in many Airbnbs over the years, and this one is easily right up there with the best. Only a 10-15 minute drive from the main town centre. It’s tucked just off the main road , not too deep in, but still wonderfully private. It’s surrounded by stunning forest and majestic Karridale trees. The house itself is probably one of the most well-equipped Airbnbs we’ve ever experienced. From the kitchen to the laundry to the bathroom - everything you need is there, and then some. Most Airbnbs might have a basic hairdryer.. this place had everything you’d need for a full salon blowout ! 😂 Our family of five had such a lovely stay. It can get chilly due to the timber structure and light insulation, but the heaters in the rooms and the cosy fireplace kept us warm and comfortable throughout. We are back in Perth city and already miss it. Highly recommended !

What a wonderful home away from home! This was our first trip away as a family with our little 20 month old toddler. The house was beautiful, comfy bed and plenty of space for our little one to run around inside and out! Added bonus when we found some toys and books for her to play with and read too. The property itself is beautiful, so peaceful and calming and getting to see the Kangaroo's was the cherry on top! We weren't far from the town centre so it was the perfect location. I really didn't want to come home! Andrea was a pleasure to communicate with and I can't thank her enough for having us stay at Roo's Leap Retreat. We would definitely stay here again!! 😊

We were so lucky to have spent the weekend at Emma’s place. This space has been created with so much love and care. Waking up to sunsets through the trees and the beautiful animals were truely memorable, not to mention the most perfect star gazing! Would reccomend this to everyone and anyone, don’t second guess and book now! Thank you Emma for creating such a special space for us to make the best memories x

Everything you need to spend time in Margaret River. Close to everything, and a peaceful house to rest in after the busy day. We were a family of 4 with 2 small children and everything was provided

Had an absolutely fantastic week at Matthew’s property. Was a beautiful house surrounded by nature with the river just a short walk away. House had everything we needed during our stay and really enjoyed sitting around the fireplace at night. Highly recommend to anyone considering staying here.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Haven! Fantastic, peaceful location so close to town but in nature. It was a relaxing and luxurious stay, with wonderful extras including thoughtful provisions. We had some friendly magpies visit us each day and loved hearing and seeing other birds. Jen and Ali were amazing hosts and even spoilt us with some delicious chocolate mousse pie for dessert one evening.. We’d definitely look to stay again if we come back to Margaret River. Thank you Jen and Ali!

We had a wonderful few days staying at the Escape Hatch, everything was exactly as described, we felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. Spotlessly clean, the kitchen is very well stocked with all the essentials. Bedroom is super comfortable. The apartment is so well situated in town, just leave the car and walk! We will be recommending the Escape Hatch to friends and won’t hesitate to re book in the future! If you like good wine, gin and a good chat, go across the road to Sons & Daughters for tastings, really good!

Had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The place was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. The bed was comfortable, and all the amenities I needed were available, including fast Wi-Fi, a fully stocked kitchen, and clean toilets with a bathtub. The location was perfect—quiet and safe, yet close to great restaurants and coffee shops. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and the host was incredibly responsive and welcoming. They even left a small welcome gift, which was a lovely touch! Overall, this was one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Great stay and close to everything

This is the second time we stayed at Rachel’s place. The beds again were so comfortable the couch was soft and cosy and its next to the town centre. We enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay again

I adored my stay at Mel’s lovely apartment! Great location (within walking distance of the main street), and the space was perfect for me as a solo traveler. I was lucky enough to run into Mel a few times, and she was so friendly and generous - always ready to share recommendations on what to see and do in the area. Would happily stay again!

Beautiful place to book for two couples for the weekend. Loved the balcony and sitting out watching the trees and the birds. We managed to grab it at a discounted rate which was great because I feel like it might have been a little overpriced otherwise. Nice and spacious though and easy car parking.

We honestly had the most wonderful weekend away at this gorgeous home. The house was beautifully located amongst the tall trees, overlooking the river with the only sound being the local birds and wildlife, whilst also being less than a kilometre from town. Such a peaceful pocket. There were local walks accessible from the property itself which were stunning and easy to navigate. The home was beautifully furnished and the glass living space was an absolute dream. The fridge was already stocked with milk, the coffee machine ready to go, firewood to use to light the fireplace and all needed linen/towels available. Being able to have our dog stay made it only that much better. The hosts were very responsive and touched based to see if we needed anything, even allowing a later checkout time to enjoy the view from the deck just that little bit longer. We would rebook in a heartbeat!
