House vacation rentals in Machico

We felt very relaxed and comfortable at Antonio’s lovely house and the garden and views were impressive. We appreciated the interesting features in the garden with its nature feel and enjoyed the pool and sauna which we thought was a real asset for the place. The house is interesting and cared about and Antionio was an excellent and helpful host. We were glad of the car we hired to access shops, restaurants, beach and walking areas as without one would be difficult but it suited us really well as 4 adults who wanted a base from which to explore Madeira.

The house was a wonderful place for us and our family. Plenty of room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The view was spectacular and the pool and patio were an excellent spot to relax.

We really enjoyed the accommodation! (family of 6 people) This one is well located, a beautiful view, very peaceful and private place. It is very well equipped, heated pool (for €30/day), barbecue available, very spacious and clean. Which makes it a great value. We recommend it!

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful, pristine, peaceful home. Well equipped kitchen. Maria has thought of everything. The outside space was really great, plenty of space to enjoy the pool along with the outside kitchen BBQ. We walked to the botanical gardens which was 10 minutes away. Two small supermarkets and bakery 3 minutes walk from the house. We walked in Funchal several times and caught a taxi home. Lovely climate and beautiful surroundings.

The space was beautiful. We loved the decor and the large doors that brought brightness with a view of the beautiful courtyard with the pool. We were hosted very well by a very good host. What a nice touch! Susana also gave us several restaurant recommendations and communication was great. It took 8 minutes to drive to the city center. We found all the essentials to cook well. The accommodation was clean, but I can't ignore the shower. There was mold and, personally, despite the scent that had been added, I found the smell of dampness and mold unpleasant. Everything else was impeccable!

We felt very comfortable with Patricia, her dad Carlos was always there for us and super nice. We were also able to contact Patricia at any time. The location of the accommodation was perfect for exploring the city and for excursions, the views are breathtaking. We spent a week in the apartment and we are very happy with our stay. The apartment was clean, spacious, neat and very nicely decorated – everything looks exactly as in the photos. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay: comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi and a cozy space to relax. An additional advantage was a private garage and a small garden – a perfect place for morning coffee or evening rest in the fresh air. A big plus was also the location – a quiet neighborhood, and at the same time close to the store. The host was very helpful and responsive, quickly answering any questions. It is a perfect place for a quiet holiday – we will be happy to return on the next occasion and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped and cozy accommodation.

The villa was beautiful - stunning location - and perfectly furnished. Lovely walk to Ponta do Sol village but the walk back is not for the faint hearted - Bolt is available :-) Whilst there were a few teething issues on arrival, Rita was super responsive and helpful in sorting any problems and our stay was great. It was a lovely stay in a stunning villa with amazing views and we would love to come back.

A beautiful accommodation, at an ideal distance from the airport and Funchal. And from the cottage, you can quickly reach many hikes.

Very nice and cozy place, we really loved the amazing view ! The house itself was very charming, and we did not have any trouble for parking the car. Although it is close to the airport, the sound of the planes did not bother us at all. Finally, the island is pretty small so almost everything is accessible by car within an hour or two so totally worth it !

Beautiful house in a quiet location in nature. We enjoyed staying in the house itself, resting between hikes. The fireplace is definitely a highlight of the property. Clean and well equipped.

Such an amazing space! Our family highly enjoyed our stay. The home is more beautiful than the pictures. The pool was lovely and the location was great for hiking as well as trips to Funchal. We would love to come back again!

Very nice apartment, large, really very clean and well-equipped. The kitchen has basic condiments (oil, vinegar, coffee, spices,...) perfect for guests. Beautiful gallery with small sofa and table chairs with views of the sea and the tip of Saõ Lourenço. Very comfortable bedding and bed mattresses. The rented apartment occupies everything on the 2nd floor of the building, we feel at home and we do not hear the occupants downstairs. Easy access to the highway (2min) and airport (5min) and very well located for visiting the eastern half of the island including Funchal. Airstrip from the Airport visible from the apartment but the noise is not disturbing and it is rather interesting to see the planes take off! I recommend it without hesitating and communication with Anton was easy and fast. Great experience for us! Thank you Anton!

Absolutely loved our stay here for the week! We loved the ability to walk into town and grab food at any time. We found a number of great restaurants! We also loved being within the energy of the town of Camara De Lobos. It was very warm, welcoming, and vibrant. We loved the home and felt it was clean, beautiful, and the perfect opportunity to slow down life and enjoy the sound of the ocean. The breeze was able to keep us cool (mid February visit for us), the sound of the ocean helped us drift off peacefully, and we enjoyed the opportunity to lounge in the sun on the many decks available. Parking was simple and free right around the house. We had very prompt communication and felt very supported. Overall the location was a great spot to adventure to the rest of the island. If we ever return to Madeira this is where we will be staying!

The stay at Diamantino’s was great. The location was perfect, close to hiking, around 7 minutes from the airport, and very good restaurants within walking distance. The bnb was nice, clean and the host was very responsive. Thank you for a great stay!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful apartment. Every morning, waking up to the stunning views over Funchal and the ocean was a real treat. The apartment itself is stylishly designed and as someone who appreciates architecture and interior design, this apartement is a great choice.

This is once of the most beautiful villas we have stayed at. The pictures do not do it justice. The open plan space is lovely and the views are stunning. Emanuel was an excellent host, and responded immediately with any queries we had. I will definitely be coming back to this villa with other members of my family.

The place was nice, clean with good parking. Maria was very responsive and helpful. Only complaint -- room doors can create noise when closed with open windows due to not great fit, but it easily solvable with some socks

We had a lovely stay in Elisabete's home. Rui and Elisabete were really helpful with giving us recommendations. The house is located very close to Machico, which is only a 15 min walk away. It's the ideal location for getting around the island. The home is as the photos and is very big and comfortable and you can see the sea from it!

Scott’s place is a great place, not only because the back porch gave an EXCELLENT view, but there was a bus stop right outside the gate! Waking up and coming back to the gorgeous ocean view made our stay worth every penny!

A place that has remained in my heart forever! If you want to be alone with yourself, take a break from the city rhythm - this is the perfect option. The nature around is incredible. Special thanks for the grill area and everything prepared there. We had a great time.

The stay was amazing, Jose was very cooperative and helped when we needed things to be fixed or done. He helped us check in very smoothly despite our flight being delayed. He is an amazing host, and the house is incredible.
