Breathtaking views of the ocean

Experience spectacular views from the Bird Box, located at the top of Ørnhaugen on Langøy. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view all the way to the North Sea, with sunset on the horizon over Algrøy. When it blows on the ocean, you can see white sea spraying up islets and cut all the west to Løno. If you arrive by kayak or boat, you can walk to the bird box from the spring. The cabin is located about 1.5 hours from trolltunga, about 1 hour to Folgefonn Ski Center or a small ferry ride over Hardangerfjord to Rosendal where you can visit the Baronia or take a trip to the top of the mountain Melderskin. In front of the house is Galleri Solbakkestova with its associated sculpture garden which is always open to the general public. Around the house, goats graze, and you overlook some free range hens, and some alpacas across the road. "Drengstovo" with a lovely view in Hardanger

Drengstova", an apartment that is located in the barn with a private balcony facing the fjord, Sørfjorden. At the dock it’s nice to take a bath, fish or just enjoy the view. Fogefonna sommerskisenter is one houer by car from us. There are many fine hiking in the surrounding area. The most famous are Trolltunga, Oksen and the waterfalls in Husedalen,Kinsarvik. It's nice to cycle along the fjord into Agatunet or against Utne with Utne hotel, and Hardanger Folkemuseeum .

A cozy-rustic cabin with an amazing view

The Airbnb is surounded by fruit trees, peaceful and quiet place with an amazing view on the Hardanger fjord. ( nearest grocery stores are in Granvin or Ulvik, about 20min drive) In the old days the cabin was the maids/girls house, when they came to work on the farm. You can take many wonderful hikes in the area and I highly recommend to use the App UT.no it shows you how far it is, how high, distance, how challenging etc.

The house is in a peaceful setting by the fjord surrounded by grazing animals. You can easily go fishing with the boat, go hiking or enjoy a quiet evening the hot tub. We highly recommend a hike to Himakånå or to visit the local climbing park "Klatreparken Høyt og Lavt Nedstrand". It is also possible to take a day trip to the Pulpit Rock.
