Cottage vacation rentals in Ludlow

Lovely stay, stunning gardens - would have been good to know there are other holiday lets immediately next to the property the listing does give the impression it’s totally isolated but thankfully there were no guests in the other houses while we were there.

This place is so lovely! Host Meng was so kind, even putting some beautiful flowers in the cottage for my birthday ❤️ the view is spectacular, it's one of the most peaceful places I've been. Hot tub is great fun, the kitchen has got everything you need including washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. The bed was comfy, plug sockets everywhere you'd want them and usb sockets. It was great to see how dog friendly the place is with throws for the couch, fenced garden and fixed stairs gates. I highly advise popping into Jolter Press Cider bar/shop and getting some food from the local Chinese takeaway. Also a walk to St Anthony's Well, there's some step incline/declines on the walk there but it's beautiful and you have to take a dip! We also went to the Three Choirs Vineyard that was beautiful and good fun too. I would definitely come back and I think it would be equally beautiful in any season, our summer trip was fantastic but I'd love to see it in autumn or winter too.

Wow! What an amazing weekend. Susan's cottage was peaceful, had everything you need and she made us feel right at home. Nothing was too much for her to organize for us and for my mum's 70th birthday. Truthfully think the cottage and surroundings are even better than the photos showing it. It was difficult to leave the peace and quiet this morning and the hot tub was an amazing benefit, spent every night in it. Thank you Susan and family for a fabulous weekend.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay! The cottage was spotless and cosy. Check-in was smooth, and the hosts are very responsive and friendly. It was great to find some amenities such as tea/coffee/cooking oil already in the kitchen. There isn’t too much to do around the cottage besides country walks, but that suited our desire to relax and sunbathe! Would stay here again and recommend to friends :)

Amazing stay at the Yarlington Dairy. The cottage was stunning and had everything you needed. The views were magnificent and the cider was also lush! Laura was a wonderful host, super friendly and very responsive. Thank you for a great stay celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary! 🤩 x

What a wonderful time we had on our honeymoon. Sarah was an incredible host and we had such a warm welcome. Once checked in Sarah was available via text but left us to enjoy our time. The house was really clean and beautifully decorated, it has everything we needed and we were able to cook in the lovely kitchen. There was lots to do around the area including national trusts and plenty of dog walks. The garden and hot tub were bliss and we really felt as though we were on a luxury break. The bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy and very comfortable, and the brightness in the front room and kitchen was so beautiful. We would absolutely return and loved meeting Sarah, would highly recommend this air b&b. It was perfect in every way!

Incredible place! We had a lovely couple of nights here. The house is full of character and has everything you need and the enclosed garden was great for our young daughter and dogs. Very peaceful location so sitting in the hot tub in the evenings was very relaxing. The added bonus of access to the river at the bottom of the garden was great! Will checked us in and gave us some suggestions of local walks and things to do which was ideal. Would highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay, we only wish we'd booked for longer. The cottage was beautiful, exceptionally clean, spacious and had everything that we needed and the Aga was wonderful. It was quiet, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Victoria provided us with all the information we needed for the cottage and the local area and was available if we needed to make contact. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for a wonderful break to celebrate our 20 Year wedding anniversary.

We had a very warm welcome from Bob and Caroline and a wonderful week in the beautifully appointed lodge in the grounds of their characterful property. Great attention to detail, comfortable beds and a lovely enclosed courtyard garden which was perfect for our whippet. Everything so well thought out and presented including numerous books, DVDs and games, a home-made gift, fresh flowers ….. Bishop’s Castle has much to offer - several pubs and cafes, quirky shops, a great butcher and scenic walks from the doorstep of Writer’s Lodge. A perfect stay in every way!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a few days and had an unforgettable experience. This Airbnb is stunning, homely and has everything you need in it for a weekend away. It was also spotless and gave a lovely feeling of the village vibe. The bedroom is spacious with a comfortable bed, while the upstairs living room and kitchen is the coziest and cutest spot for a perfect night in after a day of hiking. There is also a small garden seating area which looked wholesome but unfortunately the weather wasn’t quite up for it for us! My only complaint was that the heating was faulty and had to be fixed during our stay. But I must say the owner quick in response and sorted it asap. In terms of the location, the house sits right next to Berry’s cafe and a stones throw from Jaipur, an Indian restaurant. These are perfect for breakfast and dinner. Church Stretton has plenty of shops to buy souvenirs too. Stretton Hills is breathtaking, which goes without saying, and Id reccomend anyone to visit.

Graig Ddu is a very special place. The house has a timeless quality to it, so much more than a typical holiday rental. The location is so beautiful, it is surrounded by the garden and trees up a lovely forest track (but still safely driveable) We enjoyed the walk along the valley to Llanthony Priory but also just spent time in the garden. We were there during the unusually hot weather and the house was a cool, calm escape. Really enjoyed the books and Positive News magazines, a much needed antidote to current affairs! We had a fantastic stay! The host was very friendly and welcoming, and gave us some great advice on local places to visit and eat—really helpful in making the most of our trip. The house itself was spacious, comfy, and perfect for our young family (plus our dog!). The garden was private and secure, which gave us real peace of mind with both our daughter and the dog able to play safely. The beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the house and garden made it an especially relaxing place to unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped and thoughtfully stocked, and having easy parking and clear directions made everything smooth from the start. All in all, it was an ideal place to stay, and we’d definitely love to come back! Highly recommended.

The perfect little hideaway for a few days. If it’s character you’re looking for you can’t go wrong with Covey Cottage! Perfectly peaceful and secluded and lovely, friendly hosts. I’d definitely recommend.

We enjoyed a couple of nights at The Space. It is definitely one of the cleanest AirB&B’s we have stayed in, including those that don’t accept dogs. Comfy bed, great shower. Everything working as it should. Lovely to hear all the birds from the patio and enjoy the beautiful, peaceful surroundings. T bags, sugar, coffee and a pint of milk provided. Would recommend and happily stay again.

The 1 bedroom apartment is attached to Painswick House and gardens. A gorgeous peaceful setting. Spotlessly clean and very appreciated welcome supplies including milk and homemade biscuits and marmalade. Very comfortable bed and bathroom. Loved staying here and would recommend to others looking in this area of the Cotswolds. Gloucester cathedral is magnificent.

Jane's cottage was beautifully located in a private spot, surrounded by gardens and fields. The cottage is very quaint and very well appointed with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed walking around the gardens, field, stream and weir and spotted a lot of wildlife en route. We couldn't have asked for more.

Beautiful piece of tranquility. Carol’s place is situated close to everywhere you would want to visit in the area. The cottage is cosy with a lovely log burner and very comfortable bed, we were even given a lovely chocolate cake on arrival! Beautiful cottage, beautiful gardens, couldn’t have asked for more. Carol was a wonderful host, thanks for everything.

Meg and Dave's place was in a really great position for a short walk into Ludlow. It was super clean and had everything that you'd want. It is very comfortable and has a really good bed. The parking permit was useful as we were able to park across the street - not that we used the car much! Ludlow has lots to do, especially if you like great pubs and restaurants as well as history! The French Pantry for dinner and CSONS for lunch are well worth a visit. We'll be back at some point to do some walking in the area. Meg and Dave were very friendly and responsive and were really quick to iron out any issues.

A beautiful cottage, and a perfect base for exploring Hay on Wye and the surrounding area. We loved the peaceful and private garden for relaxing in. Thanks Gemma!

Such a wonderful cottage tucked away in the St Leonard’s steps area of the High Town. The cottage has everything you could need and so many extras we were blown away! I’ll be finding an excuse to return!!

Stayed at Michelle's place for a long weekend. The property is lovely with fantastic views and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Michelle's also a great host and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely stay again.
