Cosy apartment within 17th Century Manor House

IanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely, peaceful and clean place to stay. Joy was very friendly and on hand if needed, but we had no need to bother her. Accommodation was clean and characterful, but had modern amenities desired. Was a great location to enjoy the Peak District, but surroundings of the accommodation would perfectly suit those not wanting to travel far and just chill and relax too.

Cosy cottage in the heart of the Peak District

We had an amazing stay in this lovely property. Stunning views from propery and very peaceful location to come back to after a day exploring/hiking all the close by attractions such as Buxton, Mam Tor, NT Longshaw. Met up with friends at RHS Bridgewater a bit further afield but worth a visit. Kitchen well equipped and spacious and enjoyed cooking with the view towards Rushup Edge. This was particularly spectacular with the recent strawberry moon in full view.

Delightful 2 bedroom cottage in beautiful village

AnneliesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Although Jill herself was not present, she left clear instructions for us and we could contact her caretaker in an emergency. The cottage was great. Quietly located, plenty of parking, enclosed space for our bikes and a lovely garden where we could sit. The decor of the cottage met all our wishes and we felt at home immediately. Litton is a small village, but has a fantastic pub with a good kitchen. From the cottage we took some nice bike rides and walks and, on Jill's recommendation, visited Chatsworth House. Well worth it. The week flew by with all the activities. The cottage was always the quiet starting point. Thank you Jill for the good care! Rob and Annelies.
