Barn vacation rentals in Lancashire

We received a very warm welcome from Fiona when we arrived, the ‘check-in’ was smooth, clear and friendly and we immediately felt at home. The house is exceptional quality, located in a beautiful spot, drivable to local villages and also well located for easy motorway access. All rooms in the house are really well appointed with plenty of space for our family, including kids. We appreciated the little touches Fiona added, such as home baked goods, jams, eggs and chocolate. The house was perfect for our long weekend in the area, and we fully recommend this house to others - we would certainly like to return again.

Patty’s Barn was a lovely stay for our family. Michelle was very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. The place we stayed at was cosy and full of character, with great facilities for us to use on site.

Another perfect stay with Beverley and David. The cottage was scrupulously clean and extremely comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay with great open plan kitchen, dining and living area. Set in tranquil surroundings it was always a pleasure to return to after a day out. Beverley and David are wonderful hosts and great communicators. We hope to return again.

We had a wonderful stay on Jan’s beautiful farm. The accommodation was beautiful and clean and very well appointed with thoughtful elements throughout. Jan kindly arranged the rooms for our specific needs, and gave us a wonderful tour of the farm, animals and gardens (which included a peregrine falcon show!). The children loved holding the chicks and feeding the pigs in the mornings. Jan also provided great local recommendations for swimming, cycling and running. A great stay and we would love to return.

Just got back from a 2 night stay, it was lovely and peaceful and definitely relaxing 😌 While recovering from a broken ankle we needed to get away....was going stir crazy. Richard was such a lovely host, very helpful from my first enquiry with him. He was honest about the ground and steps up, he was great from the moment we met him. Honestly, it was awesome, we are definitely going back, when my ankle is heeled because the views and surrounding areas are beautiful and I can't wait to be able to walk them. The dogs also loved it....1 of them is very nervous and reactive, he was calm and loved it! Thanks Richard and family.... If you like peaceful, quiet, views, walks, hot tub and calming space....book it x

My friend and I stayed for 2 nights. Communication with the host was great. We loved the picturesque and peaceful surroundings. The cottage was very clean with everything we needed. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay with a great host. Tracey accepted our very last minute request to stay after some difficulty elsewhere. she contacted us with all the details and was very responsive to messages. the house was spacious and well kept. would book again.

A great place to stay. The best equipped Airbnb we have stayed in - and we've stayed in a lot!! Beautiful surroundings and walkable to a few pubs. Close to the local village with shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

We (family of three plus dog) stayed at Tithe Barn for 4 nights. The property is a beautiful barn conversion in a beautiful setting. Communication from the hosts was proactive leading up to our stay, with clear instructions on how to access the self check-in. Everything was spotlessly clean with lovely bedding on extremely comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped and the crockery is lovely! The hot tub is fantastic and a real asset with a lovely outlook across the garden. The location is idyllic, feeling rural while being only minutes away from all that Skipton has to offer. Thank you for a fabulous stay, we had a lovely time and would look to stay here again if we're in the area.

A fabulous 2 night stay at Swallows rest, and we could have all easily stayed for a week! Beautiful location with stunning views, so peaceful. Looking out to fields with lambs (very entertaining). A home away from home, well equipped kitchen - mum managed to cook a roast on the day we arrived - lamb (awful choice on our part considering our field neighbours!), comfy sofas and even comfier beds! The accomodation was spotless and pristine! We were staying for a wedding and Emma was kind enough to recommend a local hair salon, which we then booked. A full length mirror would be my only suggestion but this was only so we could check our wedding outfits! Would recommend a stay here, a great base for exploring. Thank you Emma and family :)

Our 2nd visit to knotts view and it certainly won't be the last. Everything about the cottage is amazing and of such high quality, including the welcome pack! The views from every window are simply stunning! The weather wasnt the best when we were there but we still managed to have a bbq and several dips in the hot tub. All in all a great place to spend precious family time!

Fantastic long weekend break with my wife and our dog, peaceful and relaxing stay and would definitely book again.

Beautiful barn conversion in a fantastic peaceful location. David & Lesley are great hosts & nothing is too much trouble! We used it to attend a concert at Anfield, which is a steady 20 minute drive from the property, perfect as long as you have transport and want a peaceful retreat. Sure it won’t be our last visit…

Beautiful property. Huge rooms the master bedroom was vast. Practical Beautiful location. Got to see calves being bor by the garden fence. Felt safe secure loved being there. Lauren was great couldnt ask for more

In a beautiful spot overlooking the tarn. Ideal for lots of walks. The space was great for our family get together - quiet, clean and well-provisioned. The gardens were also lovely - our children had a fantastic time playing in the woods, cooking marshmallows over the fire pit and pestering Stuart’s very tolerant dog. Communication was excellent throughout, plus all the info on the local area and things to see and do is helpfully provided. We certainly intend to stay here again. Highly recommend.

me and my partner had a lovely week at Cathys place. the road towards the house is a bit narrow but the reward is great. we enjoyed the peace of the area and we will surely be back again. i can highly recommend it if you are looking for some peace away from the big places

10/10 absolutely fantastic host, house and everything else just amazing! I would definitely come here again we went with friends but would even bring my kids back it was peaceful and beautiful just everything was spot on. Corey even went over and above to help us feel at home. free roaming animals was a nice touch helped us relax and unwind... chickens, 2 friendly small dogs that stay out of the way but love a stroke. pictures don't do this place justice it's just fantastic all round! food choices are great too many around, halal options everywhere even at the supermarket not just takeaways... so easy to make food there rather than prepping. very clean and tidy and many facilities I didn't need to bring anything for the house just my own things.

A truly relaxing place to stay. We had plans to visit other areas of the dales but ended up not moving the car for our whole trip it was that lovely. Fantastic walks right on the doorstep, a lovely pub over the road and the house itself was everything we could want. We would definitely return.

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

We’re just back from a really lovely stay at Carrholme Cottage. The cottage itself was everything we wanted for a family of 5 and for a couple of days, our in laws, a family of 4 too. The rooms are much bigger than the pictures and the lay out is very homely and cosy but spacious enough to give everyone their own space too. The area is very quiet with a short drive away from Settle, a lovely historic town with everything you need. We welcomed Liannes recommendations for food and were very pleased with the pub/restaurant The Black Horse, the food was lovely and the staff were very accommodating. We had many walks out locally but our favourite was the Ingleton Falls walk (even with our 5 year old) which was a lovely day out. The highlight was enjoying the spa/hot tub after a long walk, which we all enjoyed. Lianne was a great host and I honestly couldn’t fault a thing. She has given us as much help/information as we needed and we’ll definitely be back again. The Ferrys
