Designed for families as a relaxing spot to get away from the hustle & bustle of life, the "Hillside Hideaway" is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin perched on a hill in southeastern Missouri with a gorgeous sunset view from the screen porch. We have a well-stocked kitchen, laundry, fire pit, and plenty of toys and games for the whole family. It is just a couple of miles to a sandy swimming beach at Lake Wappapello, the boat ramp at Chaonia Landing, and many hiking trails in Lake Wappapello State Park.

This is our family cabin. Our family farms soybeans, rice, and corn. We are too busy working during spring, summer, and some of fall to enjoy our cabin much. We are wanting to share our beautiful place for others to enjoy. It is located approximately 10 minutes from Poplar Bluff, MO. We live about 30 minutes away, so we can be available if needed. We have satellite TV and wi-fi. Cabin is pretty secluded nestled among the trees with the Black River flowing within 100 feet of the deck.

This was a perfect spot for our little group while we were in the area for a conference at Puxico First Baptist Church. The kids enjoyed the games in the basement and the beds were very comfortable. We also appreciated having a good place to hunker down during the tornado warning the night we were there. Thank you for making your home available to us.

I cannot put into words how enjoyable my week long stay here was. I didn’t want to stay at a hotel. I wanted something more like home, and this place delivered! The cabin was right beside a cute lake in a beautiful neighborhood. The host was friendly and accommodating. The cabin was nice and spacious and had everything I needed. I will be booking here again if I get the chance.

CLEAN. Beautiful. Plenty of room. Exactly what we needed. 7 minutes from the grocery store. Very private. We happened to be there when the fireflies were very active. We were surrounded! It was magical!

The Cozy Cabin is amazing! The home is beautiful, and the setting is great. We were well pleased with our stay. We would very happily stay there again!

Pleasantly surprised. Nice area downstairs that would be a great place for teenagers to have their own space. Nice, quiet main floor bedroom with comfortable bed, you will sleep like a baby. Centrally located, close to quick stop and attractions. People’s Creek, swimming area and boat ramp is right across the street. Shamed I didn’t get the time to use the hot tub but it looked great!

This Airbnb was an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by how immaculately clean and beautifully decorated everything was. The space had a warm, welcoming vibe with thoughtful design touches that made it feel both stylish and cozy. Every detail was clearly well thought out—from the comfy furniture to the well-stocked kitchen and spotless bathroom. It was one of the most comfortable stays I’ve ever had, and at such a great price, it felt like a total steal. I truly didn’t want to leave! I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, affordable, and top-notch place to stay and we will likely be back!
