This home was fabulous! The photos don't do the view justice! The home was clean and cozy and she had everything we needed, including a small cooler for day adventures, which was a great touch! We were so appreciative of such a responsive host - Andrea went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay! We were sad to leave and next time hope to stay a full week! Paradise!!

Such a cute and cozy home, very welcoming! The beds were very comfortable and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The local grocery store had wonderful pastries and the local coffee shop had delicious coffee, a must go if you stay here! The hosts were very accommodating and even worked with us on recovering some items we accidentally left behind, very kind.

We had a most wonderful stay at Helen’s Hiker’s Retreat. Everything you could need is provided and the home is beautifully put together to boot. As for location, it’s perfectly situated for local exploration along Cushman Lake and Skokomish Park or you can easily enter any of the Western entrances to Olympic National Park. Furthermore, the local restaurants and adventures such as The Fjord Oyster Bank, Tides Family Restaurant, Hoodsport Cafe, and Hood Canal Adventures are well worth the time! To make the stay even more pleasant was Helen’s prompt responsiveness to anything and her recommendations were spot on! We will gladly stay at Hiker’s Retreat again and recommend you do the same!

My wife and I had a wonderful time during our 4 day trip to the PNW and Kyle’s place was the perfect home away from home. The views from the living room are absolutely stunning and make for a very cozy ambiance. We made our own dinners every night and the cabin was very accommodating. We had all the cookware and appliances to make the same meals we enjoy at home. The grocery store in Hoodsport has everything you’ll need! Some recommendations: 1. There’s a beautiful overlook of Lake Cushman just down the street that we’d recommend visiting any time of day 2. Hoodsport Coffee Co. - Great drinks - If you want a good lunch or light dinner the sandwiches are perfect 3. For Hiking: - Lower Lena Lake Trail (40 minute drive) - Staircase Loop (30 minute drive) - The welcome binder is a great guide if you are planning to do any hikes/visit parks. Kyle’s instructions made our stay so easy we didn’t even have to ask additional questions. The entire experience was refreshingly seamless!
