Exquisite Loft @ Working Horse Ranch

DavidRating, 5 stars23 months ago
The loft was spacious and comfortable and the views from the loft were beautiful. The directions were easy to follow, and we found the place with no problems. We had the opportunity to meet the host and talk with her and pet the hounds on the second day. You might want to stop at the store before you arrive and pick up a bag of peeled and cut baby carrots to give to the horses at the gates of each fenced area on the ranch. They appeared anxious to come greet us and seemed to enjoy them and the attention.

Great crash pad....wished I would've arrived earlier in the evening to enjoy the evening air and surroundings tho, but that was my fault for dilly-dallying on the way up 🤦‍♀️😆😆

Modern Farm Abode

We so enjoyed Karolyn’s place and her responsiveness to our last minute. Request to stay there. It is a bit out of the way but it’s gorgeous Country and well worth the drive. The room was lovely and her willingness to let us use the kitchen made a big difference to us.

Genuinely, their home is breathtaking. The pictures do not do this location justice. The property, the scenery, everything was absolutely breathtaking. I loved how especially quiet this location is. It was so peaceful. Kristie was extremely sweet and well-responsive and I appreciate the meticulous details of the home. Would love the come back here.

Beautiful Bunkhouse w/Epic Views

HannahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a magical place! Beautiful farm, quiet and peaceful yet only 15-20 minutes to downtown Durango. The bunkhouse is so cozy, clean and homey with a super comfy bed. The incinerator toilet was cool and easy to use, zero complaints there. Great patio with a nice grill and propane firepit. The perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful views and the adorable highland cows, and to stargaze in the evenings! Bethany and Trapper were wonderful hosts, truly above and beyond! So welcoming, kind and communicative, and also provided awesome recommendations in the area. Also don’t sleep on the eggs they provide from their chickens, the best eggs we’ve ever tasted! The kitchen has everything you’d need, and a great coffee setup with delicious local coffee. We can’t wait to return!
A serene landscape is captured at sunset, featuring a calm pond reflecting vibrant colors in the sky. Silhouettes of trees frame the scene, while distant hills add depth. The peaceful atmosphere is enhanced by the stillness of the water, inviting relaxation.

Starlight Casita, Durango

MaddyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Holly was a great host, making sure we knew she would be able to help us at a moments notice if we needed anything. The surroundings are so beautiful and really invoke a sense of peace and connection with nature, as you are able to watch the weather patterns roll in from the mountains with green pastures and horses in the foreground. The home itself is very clean and stays cool during the day in the summer even without the use of the available AC, which is really an asset in the southwest. The house is very well appointed, clean, and so comfortable! It really feels like a home away from home no matter how far you have traveled to get there. We will definitely be back, we loved this rental!

The loft at LePlatt's Pond, 100 acre ranch & river

DavidRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We stayed in the quaint town of Bayfield for 3 nights at The Loft on the LJ Platt Ranch and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting of the property is extremely picturesque and the accommodations at The Loft were 5 Star! One of our top priorities is sleeping comfortably and we are thrilled to say that we had some of our best night’s sleep here while traveling through Colorado. The sheets, linens, pillows and mattresses were extremely soft and cozy. The property was stocked with lots of kitchen supplies, the bathroom with a plethora of towels/washcloths and body wash/shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The owners even left a lovely welcome gift of fresh eggs from their pasture-raised chickens. During our stay we had complete privacy even though the owner’s home is close-by. Lastly, we ended up needing to extend our stay by one night and the owners were gracious enough to accommodate our needs. We highly recommend this Airbnb property!
The living area features a mix of modern and rustic design, showcasing a gray couch and a mustard yellow accent chair. A wooden coffee table rests on a textured rug, with travel photography adorning the walls and natural light filtering through the large windows.

Tex’s Tavern

ShailjaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My stay at this Airbnb farmhouse was a charming escape. The drive to the property is picturesque and the property was very spacious with two chickens, a donkey, and a goat all residing on the property. Cookie the donkey was awesome. The hosts were friendly and responsive. They provided many local recommendations on places to eat, hike, paddle board which were very helpful. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of room in the backyard to hang out and relax. The only drawback was a noticeable sulfur smell in the tap water, which made it unpleasant for drinking so we ended up bringing back our own drinking water for our entire stay. Showering was fine and actually made my skin extra smooth. Otherwise, it was a very lovely stay in Durango!

RhondaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
WOW, first class all the way. Furnished very thoughtfully. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Kitchen has everything you could need. Robes were the softest - just like clouds. The rocking chairs on the porch, the surrounding nature and sounds, the comfort was indescribable. One of the best AB&B's we've stayed in - and we have stayed in AB&B's all over the world!!

Circle K Ranch - Deluxe Riverside Cabin 1

SowmyaRating, 5 stars24 months ago
The cabin was cute, cozy and very clean. The bedrooms had plenty of blankets for the cool nights. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials. The loft bedroom has a low roof and is probably best suited for children. The central heating was not working, but there were space heaters that worked very well. The scenery was spectacular, with the river running literally next to the back porch with the gorgeous mountains as a backdrop. It is a short and scenic drive to get to other resort areas like Telluride. We had a wonderful time there and would love to be back!
A hot tub is illuminated by string lights, creating a relaxing atmosphere in the evening. The bubbling water is visible, surrounded by a wooden deck and hints of snow in the background, suggesting a tranquil escape in a cool setting.

La Ponderosa: A Southwest Colorado Experience

JamieRating, 5 stars30 months ago
We rented the entire property for a low key vacation over the holidays. Joseph let us check in a bit early and was very helpful with recommendations. The highlight had to be the animals- it was so fun to experience such a different type of vacation than our norm. It kind of feels like elevated camping/cabin life while you’re there. Lots of awesome places to go within 10-20 minutes too!

The "Bunkhouse"

DerekRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The Bunkhouse is a true "home away from home," thanks to the incredibly warm Sue and Ken. Our stay was a soul-resetting experience. The Bunkhouse was pristine, thoughtful, and perfect for us, my mom, and our dogs (a husky mix and a golden retriever). Our pups reveled in the expansive 60+ acres—a true "dog-paradise" of joyful freedom. Daily walks through the breathtaking landscape offered profound peace and stunning sunsets. The true magic, though, was how the friendly horses added to the idyllic charm. Sue and Ken's genuine hospitality elevates this sanctuary; they create an atmosphere of welcome and care, making you feel like cherished friends, or even family. It's more than just an escape, it's a place to unwind and reconnect with nature and loved ones. We left refreshed and grateful. We'll be back. We are literally counting the days until we return to our new favorite retreat. Thank you, Sue and Ken, for this truly special place.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location. The kitchen had everything one would need and the bathroom was pretty spacious and included a washer/dryer. The bed was so cozy. We slept with the windows open and the sounds of the farm were so lovely. Enjoyed coffee on the deck overlooking the farm. Really enjoyed our stay. Adorable kids, too. :)

Casa Luna, Gather at our ranch!

SeanRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had so much fun staying at Holly's place. She is a wonderful host, even going to the point of bringing us a fresh bag of coffee beans and a dozen fresh eggs! The home if very comfortable and as a coffee lover, I particularly appreciated the espresso maker and grinder. The beds were very comfortable and in general the place is very homey. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We have two dogs and the fenced yard was perfect for them to run in. Durango is a fun place with lots to do, and Holly thoughtfully provides recommendations in her check-in book and on her website. She is also just a text away for any questions. We absolutely loved our two weeks in Durango, and on our next trip, Casa Luna will be our first choice.
