Blending blues, browns, and greys, the decor of this home has an inviting, calm ambiance reminiscent of Iceland's breathtaking landscapes. Around the corner you will find the best bakery in town, Braud&Co and our local supermarket Kronan. New pictures coming, some changes, new furniture, infrared sauna from Saunaspace etc. Quiet and wonderful apartment with everything you need. New, very clean and spacious. If travelling from KEF Airport to Reykjavik area with the flybus, exit in Gardabaer at Aktu Taktu. Ask the bus driver to stop there. From there you need a taxi to Ljosakur or ask me for a pick up. A rental car is better :) We live above so don't hesitate to contact us. We will help and try to make your stay in Iceland perfect. Or enjoy the privacy. The home is in a great neighborhood that features a nice garden and playground with swimming pools, golf courses and a sports arena nearby. Reykjavik is a short drive away providing access to museums and exquisite restaurants. This is one of the safest place you can find in the city. We recommend to rent a car at the airport (KEF). It's easy to find your ways with a smartphone. If you don't have internet on your smartphone you can use our GPS (Garmin), it's in the apartment in the top drawer under the TV. Swimming pool, hot tubs, gym and golf courses very nearby. Heidmork, one of the most beautiful nature area near the city is nearby. Perfect for walking or cycling. Supermarkets, bakeries, stores and restaurants are near. A new supermaket (Kronan) is in walking distance.

Bus stations in the street (30 min trip to city center). 24 hour check-in, key box by the front door, private entrance. Sleeping arrangement is 1 queen bed, fitting two adults. The apartment is attached to my Town house so I am only 10 steps away for any assistance.

My place is about 10-15 minutes drive by car from the city centre (NOT WALKING DISTANCE). Free parking. The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood, but is close to the main bus station in Reykjavík and public transport and easy commute to the city centre with buses. You’ll love my place because of the coziness and the quiet neighbourhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers.

I had such a great stay in Elva's apartment. It is very very cozy, with access to almost everything you could need during a short stay. Although it is in a somewhat quiet residential area there are still a few places to eat and grocery stores a short walk away. The bus stop was also only a 2 minute walk away, with access to the city centre at all times. The apartment was very clean, everything was easy to access and I couldn't have found a better place to end my vacation in.

The apartment is both cozy and convenient, and well-equipped as well; the host has clearly put in the effort. The building (and the neighborhood surrounding it) can look cold and generic from the outside, but it is well-maintained and comfortable on the inside. Thank you, Kolfinna! The location is especially nice, despite not being anywhere near the center: In just 10 minutes, you're in the beautiful Elliðaárdalur park, which you can then follow all the way to the city proper for a couple hours. The Heiðmörk nature reserve is an hour away by foot. You'll want to take the bus sooner or later, and again there are several options (3 and 4 are very close, and more if you cross the valley).

Beautifully presented unit with everything a visitor to Iceland could want. Absolutely loved the travelling wifi made available and the wonderful tour suggestions. Johnny gave an extremely comprehensive overview of everything a traveller would need to know. We did two of the self drives he recommended and they were fabulous. Quiet neighbourhood and easy to find.
