Carole met us to check in, showed us round the fabulous house and made sure we were settled. The house and largy garden are the best we have ever stayed in, and all our Airbnb have been very good to excellent. The location is great for exploring Galloway. We had a fantastic holiday.

Mountain Cottage - Quirky at it's best

KarenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I can’t recommend Will and Giles’ place enough. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The information sent prior to arrival was brilliant, the cottage was much bigger than we expected and it’s in an amazing location right by Coniston. The place was spotless and had some lovely touches. We will be back!

Lovely cottage, met our needs perfectly for a two night stay. Was nice to be able to have a peaceful walk along the river Nith almost from the doorstep and we particularly enjoyed the garden, what a lovely sunny spot.

I loved my stay in the Studio at Courtyard Cottage it was great from start to finish x Betsey was incredibly helpful with everything and there if I needed anything but gave me privacy too! It was really cosy but felt roomy with everything you need. I loved the old stable features as I ride horses💕 The dog had a great time at the nearby beaches and the Spring Fling in Kirkcudbright was fabulous. I would definitely recommend Betsey’s place and I will be back for sure! Thank you Betsey for a great stay x

Kirkcudbright ultra modern brand new

JoanneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We have been visiting Kirkcudbright for over 20 years!, Unfortunately we were let down by our usual accommodation the day before we were due to arrive (due to the owner double booking!). We found Sue’s house following a quick search and contacted her immediately when we saw that it was available! Even though Sue was not in the country she replied very promptly and we booked her house for a week long stay! She’s house is simply stunning!! When we arrived, we got 2 cars parked right outside very easily, and gained access to the house very the key safe with no problems. The kitchen /diner and outside area was probably our favourite part of the house, however it was all fantastic! The house had everything that we needed, for 4 adults, a teenager, a child and 2 dogs to have a very enjoyable and comfortable stay! Sue was a great host and always replied quickly and with helpful and appropriate information. The house is in a great location and in a beautiful location!

Lovely countryside cottage. Enclosed garden

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Carmen is a super host, we absolutely loved the home from home home feel. My little boy who is 2 years of age settled to sleep well in the childrens room (this tells me he felt safe in the cottage). The roku stick was available to use and worked easily. The trail at the side if the house has beautiful waterfalls to view and a few stopping spots for those who need to go a little slower/steady or have children. We experienced no issues at all with our stay. Thank you Carmen we will definitely be back again.

Cruggleton Lodge, Galloway House Estate

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our 1st time at Cruggleton Lodge - though we have stayed at the relatively adjacent High Lodge several times. As at HL before, we had an idyllic week - which the facilities at CL provided an excellent foundation for. CL is secluded, set in the edge of woodlands, with breath-taking views out to sea. The walk through the woods down to Garlieston starts literally outside the door. Woods containing deer, hares and a wide variety of bird species. Have already booked again!

Luxury 4 Star Cosy Lakeland Cottage

NicolaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Escape by the Sea

MaryRating, 5 stars1 week ago
absolutely amazing time away. beautiful caravan . It looks lovely in the photos but I was amazed at how stunning the views are and how beautiful the caravan is. So many touches to it ....plus so many extras too. Tea,Coffee biscuits, fudge and a bottle of Prosecco was also left. New doggy bed to use and treats also. We really felt looked after and alot of care and attention was put into us enjoying are stay. My doggie loved it as did we. Waking up and having a morning coffee on the balcony looking out to sea was fantastic. We just loved every day of it. The site and surroundings is so clean and well kept. The beach is a 2 minute walk away. There are lots to do on site or many walks to do and explore the area. Also a good base to visit surrounding areas and towns. I've stayed at several Air BnB and this is on my top 3 . Highly recommend a stay here. We will DEFINITELY be back . 10/10.

We had a fantastic stay. The property had plenty of room for our small family and dog. The location is so picturesque, we wish we didn't have to leave. There's beautiful walks to be had nearby and the drive out to the nearest villages or towns are quiet and stunning. Amber and Chris were very responsive and gave us loads of ideas for things to do. We would highly recommend visiting, and I'm sure we'll be back in the future. Thank you for being such great hosts.

Beautiful 2 bedroom cottage with stunning bay view

JaneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a truly lovely home, one of the nicest we've ever stayed in through Airbnb. It's so comfortable, cosy and well equipped and has the most gorgeous views. It was so easy to feel right at home. Aside from Wigtown being a great and interesting place to visit, and the location being perfect for lots of enjoyable trips out to a wide variety of locations, we really appreciated the care and attention that had been given to the small details within the home. Good quality crockery and cookware, crisp linen, beautiful blankets to wrap up in in the evening. All these details make such a difference. Tide View is highly recommended.
