Beautiful home. Recently refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. Elizabeth was always responsive and on hand if we needed her. She provided lots of very helpful recommendations for food and activities during our stay. Fabulous home and host.

We had a fantastic stay at Karen's cottage. Lovely garden, very peaceful if you like the farm life atmosphere. Karen provided a variety of breakfast cereals which were very much appreciated. Highly recommend staying at the cottage in Holywood 🙂

We adored our stay at the Granary! It’s a stunning place in the most peaceful location. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept wonderfully. All of the details in the home are beautiful and cozy! We loved listening to the birds and watching the sheep out the window. Amanda was so friendly and helpful. I hope we can come back here someday because it was truly a dream!!! Thank you so much!

Lovely quaint cottage, both beds extremely comfortable, shower pressure great! Quiet rural location. Unfortunately the weather didn’t favour our planned hiking in the area but it means we will return.

Carmen is a super host, we absolutely loved the home from home home feel. My little boy who is 2 years of age settled to sleep well in the childrens room (this tells me he felt safe in the cottage). The roku stick was available to use and worked easily. The trail at the side if the house has beautiful waterfalls to view and a few stopping spots for those who need to go a little slower/steady or have children. We experienced no issues at all with our stay. Thank you Carmen we will definitely be back again.

Really nice location, 5 minute walk from town. Was a really lovely stay despite the weather we had, lots of maps and walking guides in the front room and the kitchen came fully equipped with stuff to wash up.Our only recommendation would be to exchange the pillows for firmer ones. Rachel and Michael went out of their way to be kind and helpful. The space is beautifully proportioned and laid out with just about everything you could want for a trip away. It is up a long lane from the road, (a well maintained lane) but that is fine and part of the charm. It would be ideal for a romantic weekend away, though as a female on my own I felt safe and reassured that the owners were close by but never intrusive. My young spaniel enjoyed our walks with Rachel and her dogs down the lane. The Workshop Cottage even has it's designated parking spot, and small garden area, and a bench in the sunshine to admire the view. This is a stunning, unique and slightly quirky bit of paradise at a very reasonable price. I would book again in a flash if I needed to visit the Lakes again.

Good base for a few nights - clean & tidy and had everything we needed!

This was our first visit to the Lake District and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The location was perfect for the walking and hiking we did. The deck was a great place to sit with our coffee and the view of Catbells was beautiful! If we come back, this is where I want to stay and I highly recommend it!

Perfect setting for pristine accommodation. The 'container' lodge was impeccably clean, very fresh looking with a cozy but modern vibe to it. Living area sliding doors are a nice touch, well equipped kitchen and all necessary utensils available. Another nice touch was how good the shower was ! The simple things in life ! Hot tub and fire pit area well thought out for both privacy and protection from wind on breezy nights, and like the inside of the lodge also impeccably clean. Highly recommend for escaping from the world for a few days, and will certainly look to book again . Every part hassle free and communication of instructions & help couldnt have been better. A well deserved 10/10

Steve’s place was just what we we needed for a week of hiking. Had everything we wanted to do a bit of cooking. Always found a place to park nearby. Nice hot shower after tramping around in the hills all day. Also - the bed was plenty comfortable and we slept well. Our stay went very smoothly from start to finish. Thanks!

Stunning property, perfect location for the Forest and Mull of Galloway. We are regular visitors to the area. Catherine’s place has just gone straight to the top of places I will book if it’s free.

What an incredible weekend. Adrian and Stefania’a place is just beautiful. The grounds of the apartment were private, peaceful and very green. The garden is well maintained and the annex itself was absolutely spotless. You can tell there has been a lot of time and effort put into making it such a beautiful home to make the perfect stay. Adrian and Stefania were very responsive if we needed anything but considering they had already thought of pretty much everything you could possibly need, we managed just fine. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Really easy and enjoyable experience with this host, lots of lovely communication, very helpful and the accommodation is just lovely! It is really tastefully decorated, the towels and robes provided and cups with spoons ready to go were a lovely hotel feel touch! Enjoyed our stay! Also the Abbey can be seen from one of the bedroom windows and it is so lovely for a walk around and explore! Thank you

Great location, cozy apartment, helpful and friendly hosts. The apartment was exactly as advertised and was spotless. Only an easy 10 minute walk to Keswick centre. Would recommend!

We enjoyed our time in the Lake District, and this Airbnb makes for a good base for exploring the region. It's within walking distance of Keswick—the best town in the Lake District with a number of great restaurants—but Portinscale is quieter, and having a parking space included is a big plus. The Airbnb space is nicely equipped and very clean. I would recommend this without hesitation.

The place is in walking distance to the town centre and it is a good drive to the Lake District. Would recommend staying here 😊
