We were very satisfied to the accommodation. The house was clean, cosy and very well equipped, nothing was missing. The view was as good as we expected. We are happy to recommend Keren's house for the other visitors in Port Ellen.

We had a wonderful stay in a wonderful house. House was located just outside Port Ellen, nice walking distance to the town. We were met by the host, and was given a tour of the house on arrival. The house was spacious with large bedrooms, a modern, well equipped kitchen and a great view of the sea. Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig distilleries are located close by, we took a taxi to Ardbeg and walked back to the house visiting the other two as we passed them. The taxi driver was recommended to us by the host, and he turned out to be one of the friendliest and helpful taxi drivers we've come across. He drove us around half the island one of the other days, and was a great guide as well. The company is called Bodachs Islay Taxi, and Amazing Arthur as we called him is also highly recommended! We highly recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to Islay!

We had a great stay at Peter’s place. Plenty of room for everyone and nice and clean. Cozy yet lots of creaky house noises if you have light sleepers. Easy access to Inveraray attractions and a great jumping off point to other highland gems.

We were impressed by the photos on the website but the cottage was even more impressive than the pictures suggested. A spotlessly clean cottage, warm and welcoming, with lots of spaces to relax from the comfortable bedroom, spacious lounge, dining kitchen, cosy nook, and porch area at the back of the property. The garden was magical too, and I found myself drawn to wander around it, seeing something new each time. We were VERY lucky with the weather & the lower patio area was a fabulous suntrap! We have a friend who lives on Bute and when we come back we will definitely look to book Hawthorn Cottage. Thank you Rosemary, we had a wonderful stay.

Had a great trip with 3 golfing friends . Location ideal for golfing and socialising. Would happily book again. Only adverse point was that bedside cabinets had not been cleaned/checked for items left by previous occupants. I raised that with Duncan who undertook to take remedial steps as a matter of routine.

We had a lovely stay in Gigha, beautiful beaches, great cycling, lots of wildlife and friendly community. It’s a special Island to make lots of memories. Kate’s house is ideally located near the local store, cafe & restaurant & easy access to the whole of the island. The house is great with everything you need for a relaxing holiday….. we didn’t want to leave! Many thanks to Kate & Nicola.

Great well equipped house, amazing views, walking distance to the pub, loads of hot water, comfy beds and sofas, everything worked. Dog friendly. No off road parking but there was always plenty of space on the road in front of the house

Had a great stay at the Mill Barn Cottage in Shiskine,Arran. Lovely roomy property with all facilities you could need. Good garden for the dog to run about in but had to take him in the car down to Blackwaterfoot beach to get him walked off the lead. Only 5 minutes away and great beach .

Lovely place to stay, lot of effort to keep the place clean and tidy and very animal friendly. Arrived to two goodie bags for the dogs as well . Will definitely be back to stay again. Thank you

Fantastic stay. Caravan had everything we needed for our stay including condiments, iron, towels etc. Beautifully decorated and in a peaceful area. We will definitely be booking again!

Amazing homely cottage in a nice private location. This was our last night of rest post-NC500. A shame we only stayed a night, could easily have done a few more and really explored the amenities in the village. Nonetheless a fantastic stay, very comfortable and friendly hosts.

Just back from a fab stay here. The Chalet has every comfort you could think of and made our time at the site very enjoyable. Another shout out for the air fryer and dish washer plus generous supplies were in stock for our arrival. The whole place was lovely and clean with a surprising amount of space. There is a lot to do in the area, the Ayr farm park was a massive hit for our kiddo. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at the Doll's House. Marie & Ellis are lovely hosts and we instantly felt right at home. The cottage is the perfect size, with a lovely view from living room and front porch. The kitchen is well stocked which is sometimes a rarity with Airbnb. Located close to the Gigha ferry it's a perfect spot to explore the rest of Kintyre. Highly recommended and we hope to return soon.

Wonderful hosts, even offered to pick us up from the ferry port. Very welcoming and kind. The cottage is beautiful and in a lovely location. Very well equipped, including hair dryer, iron, and anything you could need in the kitchen. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the cottage had all the equipment we could possibly need — from kitchen essentials to comfortable bedding and even thoughtful little extras. The location is perfect if you’re looking to relax and unwind in beautiful natural surroundings. We enjoyed the fresh air and the calm of the countryside. The host clearly put a lot of love into the place, with plenty of charming details that made it feel both homey and special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, well-equipped escape in a lovely setting!

My parents stayed here for a week and we joined them for the weekend. The surroundings are beautiful and the cottage was comfy and a great place to explore from. Have recommended it to friends already!

Amazing cottage. In the woods, with magnificent views over Islay just steps from the cabin. Karen was a wonderful host. Great communication. Everything was spotless and new. Everything you would need was in the cabin. We appreciated that it was an easy 25 mins walk to Port Ellen. So much to do and see in the vicinity. We would love to return for a longer stay next time. This cabin really deserves a longer vacation.

Lovely apartment, spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Views from windows and balcony are stunning, ever changing skies and sea, with gannets, oystercatchers, ringed plovers, herons. Spotted an otter on the beach late one evening, lots of wildlife to be seen on Arran. We also saw golden eagles, red squirrels, seals, deer. Simply Thai restaurant next door was excellent, eat in and takeaway. Everyone in village was very friendly and helpful. Beverley and Patrick were ideal hosts, responding immediately when we had a problem (of our own making!). Hope to return.

Idyllic place in a beautiful location - short walk to the beach and the rat race event. Was super clean, shower is great, bed comfy and perfect size for myself. I lucked out in a sunny week and the lil terrace table and chair got sunlight through the day. Lorna was super responsive and quick and efficient.
