Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kawela Bay

The unit and campus was beautiful. Martina our contact at Beach Villa Realty during our stay was responsive and helpful. My only concern is the pricing for the unit. While exploring various lodging options on-line I was quoted one price which I thought was fair. However, the next day when I decided to book the unit the price had increased $100 per day. When I inquired about the differential I was told because it was a last minute rental. My reply was that I thought BVR would be happy it was rented especially last minute. I was then told it was because of BVR's Dynamic Pricing software. Frankly, this stinks.

Peter's place was perfect for our 5 day stay. You are right on the beach with nothing between you and the ocean. You are on the 12th floor with beyond amazing views of the ocean, sunsets, boats, turtles and we even saw a moon rise the last morning. The beach is one of the most pristine beaches I have ever seen. The water is clear, the sand is thick with absolutely zero seaweed. The beach appeared to be about 1/4 -1/2 mile long which I loved to just walk. The sand was so thick that it was a workout to just walk. Even the wet sand was thick! The beach is quiet with just a handful of folks on it at any time. Be aware that the west side of Oahu is the "poorer" section of the island. There are homeless encampments on the public beaches. Since this is a private gated community with 24/7 security there are no issues with homeless folks. We had a car and did lots of sightseeing during the day on the North, South and East side of Oahu. I came for the beach and it did not disappoint.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beach villa! The villa itself was spotless, well-maintained, and offered stunning views that made every morning feel like a dream. It’s just a short walk to the lagoon, and the pools on the property were also clean and inviting. Check-in was quick and easy, which made settling in stress-free. The location is perfect—close to great restaurants, shopping, and everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. They provided great local recommendations and were very accommodating to any questions or needs we had. Highly recommend this villa if you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic, and convenient getaway!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Gina & Kim’s ocean-side villa, and it was truly one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. After the hectic days in Silicon Valley, I was in dire need of a reset, and this retreat provided just that. The suite was incredibly clean, and while I never met the hosts in person, the communication was seamless, with clear instructions provided throughout my stay. The location was perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. I was able to exercise outdoors, eat healthy meals, and enjoy the serene atmosphere without a care in the world. The villa itself was exactly as advertised, with beautiful views and easy access to the beach and pool. It was the ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature. I truly appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. I can't wait to return!

Beautiful ocean view villa in a great location. Pool and beach are impeccable and right on premises. Restaurants, shopping and groceries a short walk away. Everything you need for a great beach vacation is supplied; beach chairs, coolers, snorkel gear, etc. Absolutely no issues or complaints. Beach villa staff were excellent. The owner Denise was professional and prompt with booking and any questions. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed for a week with husband & son for a birthday celebration. We had a absolutely lovely time & were sad to leave. The apartment became like a 2nd home to us & looked forward to coming back each day after hiking, kayaking & exploring the city. I chose it because I can't stand staying in a hotel room with multiple folks past 2-3 days. & the Hawaii hotel prices are crazy anyway so might as well spread out. But the plus was the apartments location. Far enough from the city were you feel secluded & able to use the walk path/lagoon/pools without fighting for space at all. & the best view ever from the balcony. I loved laying out drinking tea and reading each morning. Great set up between Disney & Four Seasons, seems like a secret hideaway. The hotel its itself is layed out well with a great tropical in/out feel. Definitely will need a car but easily covered with free parking. Got a little sad when realized 16th is the highest floor but still felt like a penthouse to me with own hallway!

Family of four and we had an amazing time. The condo is not only very comfortable and clean but it also has some very useful things for the beach that was very helpful.

We had an incredible stay the condo was amazing. We had an extended family vacation with 6 adults and 1 child. This is our second stay in the area, very peaceful the amenities were great loved the pools and lagoon. We were able to walk to the Four Seasons for the Stars Above Hawaii tour and the lagoon for a sunset cruise. They had 2 parking spots, which worked out great. They had games my 10 y/o loved playing Uno on the balcony for family game night . Hosts were very responsive. 10/10 !

I don’t know where to start, it was beyond expectation! The location was unbelievable, and the views from the room made you not even want to leave :-) eating breakfast on the balcony was just amazing every morning! The area was perfect, so private and low-key and quiet just what we wanted. Taking a walk up and down the lagoons was also very nice to have so close by. The pools, the bar everything were just a step above. Hawaii is just amazing but to have this as your base to go out and explore is just perfect! I couldn’t recommend it more highly and I’m sure we’ll save this for the next time we come out.

Tamara’s condo at Turtle Bay was ideal for our time at the North Shore. The condo was just as described. The kitchen was well supplied and clean, and there was beach equipment (floats, snorkels, masks and chairs) that we enjoyed using. The full bath was small, but there were plenty of towels and other necessities. The additional half bath upstairs was helpful for our family of 5, as was having a washer/dryer, which allowed us to pack a little lighter for our trip. The large screened windows and lanai allowed us to enjoy the ocean breezes as we enjoyed our morning coffee. Tamara provided lots of information on the area and the amenities upon booking. The grounds are beautiful, and we enjoyed walking around and swimming in the pool. We visited the beach at the resort, but we drove to Kawela Bay Beach about a mile down the road, which was secluded and peaceful. We felt like we were on our own private island and saw many turtles swimming around and sunning. Highly recommend this location!

The place is a beautiful and amazingly up-kept! When inside, view is truly what the pictures show. Truly a sense of peace the home brings to you, u wake up and rest up with a secure feeling. The place really had all amenities covered, I can't think back of anything needed. So Con of location, its not by your popular tourist locations but get a car rental, everything was about an 1hr to 1.30hr away even in heavy traffic. Also, it was tent city around near beaches, the location were air bb did have beach front was clear of tents about 1 mi. to both sides of it. im sure u can relate to your city, conclusion is this is our country problem Yes, I would stay here again! 100% would recommend too anyone that loves a lot of home time and just a sense of peace! the place has a security guard at night, the pool area is clean and has a walk into the beach, easy access. Met some neighbors and all were friendly. Theirs restaurants, grocery, and convenient store near by. The place was Amazing!!!

Thu's unit was exactly as described in the listing. We had our family of 5, and we were super comfortable the entire stay. Two large bedrooms, two nice bathrooms, welcoming living room, kitchen, and beautiful lanai. The complex or resort the unit is in Ko Olina Beach Villas was very well-run, with beautiful pools and grounds. All common areas were incredibly clean and the building seemed to be very well run by management there. My kids loved the pools, we loved the peacefulness of the pool area compared to the experiences we've had at the two neighboring resorts Marriott and Disney. We would love to return to Thu's unit and KOBV on our next vacation!

We absolutely loved it here and staying in this beautiful part of the island. The beach really is just steps away from your bed and is really great for snorkeling. The apartment is very beautifully decorated and has everything you need, the kitchen is well equipped. It is ideal for a party of two or three. Jona was very friendly and answered quickly always. We definitely recommend this place,

Love love love it here! Private beach. Turtles! Less than 30 min to sharks cove and shopping on the North shore. Away from the hustle. Peaceful! Host and maintenance on site people were so kind. Ocean view AND mountain view. 🤩

Stayed at Ko Olina Beach Villa with my family (4 adults, 2 toddlers). Everything worked out perfectly. The beach equipment was a nice touch as well as having laundry. The view from the balcony was stunning. The private balcony for bedroom 2 was amazing. Walking distance to Aulani, and you have your own lagoon. Rick’s place was clean and quiet. This resort even impressed my in laws! Would definitely stay again.

Matt was a great host and the place was so beautiful. I could not have asked for a better experience. Check in was super easy- Matt was very helpful. The hotel was perfect, we had a great view of the sunset over the ocean. The room was clean and spacious, and the resort itself was beautiful. The pools were clean, and the ocean cove was spectacular to swim in. Pretty centrally located to everything, i would highly recommend booking here.

Thomas’ rental was an amazing private retreat for me. The ocean front location is spectacular. Waking up to the sunrise, going to sleep with the tradewinds and crashing waves. It’s on a lava beach so it’s rocky but I discovered a swimmable beach 13 houses down where green turtles sometimes swim beside you. Gorgeous scenery and a peaceful, private location. The interior was immaculate and well cared for. After going to Whole Foods prior to my arrival, I didn’t leave the premises except to head down to the beaches!!! Highly recommend. I hope to spend a longer time there next time I’m back in Oahu.

Nice beach house. Little busier road than expected to get to the beach, but liked the access to the nice beach and easy access to local attractions.

Our family of seven adults and one toddler had a great vacation here. The house had everything we needed. Having the outdoor space on the porch and in the yard was wonderful. My granddaughter loved throwing leaves into the creek and watching the fish, birds, geckos, etc. We passed by the horses as we walked to the beach. We enjoyed hiking, playing pickle ball, grilling and hanging out in and around the home. The house is well located for trips to the north shore, Polynesian Cultural Center, and windward beaches. I would highly recommend this home to families or large groups looking for a relaxing place to stay.

Beautiful place to stay near Turtle bay. Very comfortable place for my family! Easy instructions to get in and a beautiful pool near by ! Would definitely stay again!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Pats at Punaluu. The condo was in a perfect location , just short drives to everything you need and amazing beaches. The condo had what our family needed after long days at the beach. Amazing views to top it off.

This place was perfect. Walked to teds every day for breakfast, easy access to the beach, sat out on the patio every day. Overall so amazing!! 10/10 would come back!

The stay was amazing! The sunrises were stunning and there were turtles on the beach right out back every morning. The place was clean and had great amenities. Greg was super responsive with any questions we had and was quick to get back to us. The location was the best part for us. We love the north shore and would take a stay up there any day compared to a stay in Honolulu.
