Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Kalathas

Die Kommunikation mit Electra war super. Nachdem wir ihr gesagt haben, wann wir ankommen, hat sie uns an der Straße in Empfang genommen und zum Haus begleitet. Dort hat sie uns alle Räumlichkeiten gezeigt, zudem gab’s ein Gastgeschenk. Sie hat uns nützliche Informationen zur Erkundung der Umgebung gegeben. Elektra ist ein sehr gastfreundlicher und liebevoller Vermieter. Das Haus selbst war sauber und die Betten komfortabel. Von der Dachterrasse konnte man das Meer erblicken. Die Unterkunft ist nur zu empfehlen🙂

A wonderful place to spend a week. Argiro was the most responsive and attentive host. The location is wonderful - super walkable to walk into Chania old town (20-30mins) with a water view the whole walk. A couple of minutes walk away is the ocean where there are multiple places to swim in the water or watch the sunset. Wonderfully accessible free safe parking is super close as well, 30 second walk from the building. The home itself is impeccably clean, with AC and a very comfortable bed. We felt very at home here. There was some construction that Argiro notified us about before our arrival and said we could cancel if we wanted, but the construction was minimal and starts later in the morning and didn’t bother us at all and we are so glad we stayed here! We wish we could have stayed longer! Please note that the place also has an umbrella in the closet, so don’t go out and buy one like we did!:) now there should be two:)

Ο κυριος Χάρης μας βοήθησε από την πρώτη στιγμή, πριν ακόμα κλείσω το σπίτι! Μας έλυσε όλες τις απορίες και απαντούσε πάντα στα μηνύματα μας! Το σπίτι ήταν πεντακάθαρο, είχε από απορρυπαντικό για τα ρούχα,σαμπουάν,μέχρι και φρέσκα αυγα, σταφύλια δικά τους και μαρμελάδες! Γενικότερα δεν μας έλειψε τίποτα από το συγκεκριμένο σπίτι. Επίσης, η γειτονιά είναι πολύ ήσυχη και κοιμόμασταν παρά πολύ καλά!! Ευχαριστούμε παρά πολύ για όλα και ελπίζουμε κάποια στιγμή να σας ξανα επισκεφτούμε!!

Desiree was an impeccable accommodation. The place was everything we could have dreamed of and more…location, decor & special touches were top notch. The host Maria was responsive, and her helper Manousos was the nicest man who met us to provide the keys and showed us the place. We loved that this place also comes with parking. Maria’s mom had put together 3 containers of her chicken and potatoes for my family upon arrival. We were also treated with a bottle of wine, snacks, fruits, and bottled water. A water gun was left for our son. We would definitely stay again on our next visit to Chania.

Four of us, two couples, spent a very enjoyable week at Roula's stone cottage. A special and stunning location and suspect a rare opportunity to spend time in a traditional style house in a rural cretan mountain village. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. May be better suited to a family stay as the downstairs room has no separate access to bathroom. We enjoyed the peaceful location immensely- great to getup and have breakfast outside with the fresh air and distant sound of goat bells. We travelled to Chania or the beaches along the coast every day and certainly didn't find the village too remote to do so. Nearby Tavernas and gorge walk are a must. Roula, along with her mother, were always quick, helpful and generous when questions were asked and supplied us with eggs and oranges and some home cooked food. Surely one of the best hosts I've experienced on airbnb. Would gladly return.

We had a great time at Georgios’s place at the garden of Zephyrus. The location was absolutely perfect surrounded by nature with incredible views in every direction. We did a lot of hiking nearby and it was a short drive to beautiful beaches. The apartment was comfortable and welcoming, and I left feeling refreshed and inspired. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and explore the outdoors! Georgios is fantastic host.

Wir haben 3 wunderschöne Wochen in Manos House verbracht, das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, es hat einen sehr schönen Garten in dem man wunderbar verweilen kann, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand und den Restaurants entfernt. Abends haben wir bei einem Glas Wein auf dem Balkon gesessen auf und den Sonnenuntergang genossen. Stavros ist ein kleiner ruhiger Ort in dem man sehr schnell in den Urlaubsmodus kommt und die Zeit einfach nur genießen kann. Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder.

The pictures don't do the unit justice! Beautiful home with stunning views of the old port. Everything is walkable, and this is a great place to people watch. Lot's of stairs in the multi-level unit so beware. Beds for 6, and they're comfortable! Host is awesome, and very communicative. No parking at the unit but street parking can be had a couple of blocks away. I'd definitely return!

Maria is a fantastic host. She met my husband and me at the bus stop and showed us around the apartment and neighborhood, giving us recommendations for dining and things to do. Her apartment is located in the heart of Old Town just steps away from the waterfront, great restaurants (we especially loved Tamam), and shopping. She stocked the apartment with everything we'd need for our visit, including beach towels, breakfast items, candy, guidebooks, and more. The apartment itself is cozy and comfortable in a charming building. Despite a decent amount of foot traffic nearby, it was quiet at night. We had the best sleep of our 10-day trip to Greece during our three-night stay. I can't recommend Maria's place enough for a visit to Chania!

L'appartement offre une magnifique vue sur La Canée et il est au calme tout en étant proche du centre ville. Nous avons apprécié passé du temps dans ce logement. nous recommandons.

Excellent location, wonderful host and the amenities are as described. Litsa was so welcoming, gave us homemade bread/cake and also shared homemade lasagne with us. she also offered some toys for our little one and beach towels for us during our stay. highly recommend for the experience and location as restaurants and old town are a very short walk away. koum kapi beach is a 5 min walk as well. couldn't recommend enough..

We had a wonderful stay at Sifi’s. He is easy going, responsive and provided great recommendations. The apartment is beautiful, modern and we felt very comfortable with our stay. Sadly our visit was short since there are plenty to see and do that we didn’t get to do but I would book this place again if we come back.

Très bien situé pour visiter la Canée et ses environs ainsi que Balos. Logement très propre et à 2 pas de la plage. Nasos est très réactif et sympathique. Petite attention à notre arrivée (fruits, huile d’olive et Raki) qui est super appréciable ! Merci !

The location is about a 15-20 min walk from the old city center in a quiet area. At night walking back, the streets can be pretty empty as you go farther away from the old city center. The bed and blanket is very comfortable. Clean, spacious, and lovely space with full amenities as described. Litsa is very friendly and responsive. She sweetly offerred drinks and food throughout my stay. Wifi is good. Movable showerhead has weak water pressure, but no problem with switching between hot and cold water. I would recommend.

Pobyt był wspaniały. Mieszkan ie z klimatem, urocze i nastrojowe, w sercu starego miasta. Każdy znalazł tam swoje miejsce. Cudowny taras z widokiem na zatokę i widokiem na wenecki port. wieczorami idealny do obswrrwowania życia miasta. zdarzają się koncerty w gratisie ;). kuchnia swietnie wyposarzona. Nina pomocna we wszystkim.

I am from the United States and my daughter and her friend are traveling throughout Europe. They both happen to have the same birthday and it worked out that it would occur in Chania, Greece. I contacted the host and explained the situation. They contacted me back immediately to discuss and were extremely helpful, sending me a ton of options from sunset boat trips to day long excursions. In the end, we agreed to have some very nice person from the team put some wonderful decorations in their room along with chilled wine, a cake, and spa gift certificates. It was perfect and was very reasonably priced. I strongly recommend when in Chania.

Rauhallinen alue, remontoidut puhtaat huoneet. Meillä oli oranssi huone, joka sijaitsee kellarissa pienillä ikkunoilla kadulle. Huone ei lämmennyt helteillä joka oli mahtavaa! Majoituimme 8 yötä, huoneessa oli saippuat ja shampoot valmiina. Sekä pientä naposteltavaa. Tämä oli ihana yllätys 🙏Rakennuksessa oli pyykkitupa, jossa pystyi pesemään vaatteita. Tämä oli mahtavaa koska me reissattiin vain repuilla. Omistaja oli ystävällinen ja avulias. Iso suositus!! 10/10

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

The apartment, its location, and the hosts’ hospitality are simply impressive. The room had everything we needed - even sun hats, beach towels, and slippers. A separate crib was provided for our son. The apartment also came with a juicer, toaster, coffee machine, coffee, tea, and plenty of food. However, the place is better suited for couples without small children. Our 1-year-4-month-old son constantly wanted to go up and down the stairs (which isn’t very safe) or out onto the balcony. Still, he managed to enjoy the beautiful views and woke up saying ‘wooow.’ 😁 The water at the beach is perfect for small children and peaceful relaxation. We had a wonderful vacation! Nearby, we discovered a lovely restaurant called Halepa with incredible sunsets and delicious seafood - highly recommended.

Μείναμε πολύ ικανοποιημένοι από τη διαμονή μας. Ο Γιώργος ήταν πολύ άμεσος στην επικοινωνία και εξυπηρετικός. Το σπίτι είναι φωτεινό, ευάερο κοντά σε κεντρικά σημεία της πόλης και τη θάλασσα. Δεν αποτελεί χαρακτηριστικό παράδειγμα των περισσότερων bnb με σύγχρονες προδιαγραφές (πχ παλιές οικοσυσκευές, έπιπλα) και ανάλογη διακόσμηση αλλά αυτό το κάνει ζεστό και φιλικό. Το μόνο αρνητικό ήταν τα κάπως δύσχρηστα παράθυρα/μπαλκονόπορτες. Βρήκαμε μέσα ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε. Θα το προτείναμε.

This Airbnb is just like the photos and worth the distance from Old Town (about 0.4 miles). The terrace wraps around the entire flat and has many seating options in sunshine and in shade. It’s surrounded by beautiful, well-cared for plants with a stunning view of the Sea of Crete and of Chania itself. You can take the stairs or there is an elevator. The hostess left some local treats for us as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers! Absolutely top notch! There is also air conditioning if the fresh air is too warm. The hostess was friendly and responsive. This was the best of 4 Airbnb’s we stayed in throughout Europe. The only thing to note is that the electricity is only on when the card is in the holder by the door. So, if you leave with the dryer or dishwasher running or charging devices, they will pause until you return.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le logement de Nikos. La vue est incroyable, on a envie de passer ses journées sur le balcon! La literie est confortable, et il y a tout à disposition pour passer un très bon séjour. Nikos a été très accueillant et discret, il nous a recommandé un lieu pour se garer facilement et rejoindre le centre de Chania à pieds, ce qui a été très pratique! Bref nous avons vraiment apprécié nos vacances dans ce logement et le recommandons à 100%. Merci Nikos!

From the start, Sia and her husband were very warm and welcoming. At check-in, they walked us through the apartment, which looked exactly like the photos. The view is fantastic from the front balcony. Everything was very clean. Loved that there were electronic blinds for most windows. We rented a car and there was a parking spot available for us in Sia's garage. We did find the bed a bit too hard for our tastes (to each their own!), and we sometimes had trouble with the wifi dropping in the main bedroom. Overall, we loved Sia's place and would stay there again!

Csak LEG-ekben tudok írni a tájékoztatásról, a vendéglátásról és természetesen a szállásról. Minden elvárásunkat túlszárnyalta a vendégszeretet. Megérkezésünkkor személyesen várt, több oldalnyi ajánlást írt nekünk, hogy hová érdemes menni az ottlétünk alatt. Ha később kérdésünk volt telefonon azonnal választ kaptunk mindenre. A közelben megannyi bolt, pékség, Chania és a reptér csupán 15 percnyire. Az autópálya közelsége miatt könnyen tájékozódtunk és mentünk el számtalan szépséges helyre. A szállás tiszta és otthonos. Minden szükséges dolog rendelkezésre áll. A kirándulásokhoz napernyő, matrac, de még hűtőtáska is volt amit használhattunk. Tiszta szívből ajánlom mindenkinek!
