Family-friendly vacation rentals in Joshua Tree

We stayed at Jamie's place as part of annual girls' trip, and it was absolutely perfect. The house is wonderful and the surroundings are beautiful! There was plenty of space for us to spread out, both inside and out, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the beds were comfortable. Jamie is a very proactive host and had very clear instructions. We all would stay here again without a doubt!

Great place with awesome amenities. Pool and hot tub were awesome. Spent many hours playing table tennis. Definitely going to come back!

This was one of the most amazing stays I have ever had through Airbnb. I fell in love with the house and property as soon as I arrived. As someone from the "Baby Boomer" generation, the mid 20th century architecture, furnishings and "vibe" of the house were a delight to experience! I was looking for a retreat-like experience, and in that regard the property was just perfect for me! I loved the privacy, and the views from the house and the property were truly outstanding! It was so quiet and so incredibly peaceful. It is the perfect location to watch the sunset with the mountains in the background, and I really enjoyed making a fire in the outdoor fireplace after sunset each night. I literally did not want to leave when it was time for me to check out! I enjoyed a visit to Joshua Tree National Park which is just minutes away from the house, and the hot tub and pool were amazing. Jenn was very friendly and easy to get ahold of for any questions. I can't wait to return!

This Airbnb in Joshua Tree was the perfect peaceful escape. It was quiet, private, and surrounded by beautiful desert views. The space was thoughtfully decorated with a cozy, modern vibe that made it feel instantly welcoming. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, from kitchen essentials to little thoughtful touches. I’d definitely come back for another relaxing getaway.

Decided to take my first solo trip to Joshua Tree. I’m so glad I found this spot. It made my first trip so much more special. Everything was so close so it made it easy to do everything on my bucket list. Of course there was so much more to do. I would return anytime and recommend others to do so as well.

Coreys dome house is the best styled Airbnb I have rented- its gorgeous with tasteful and interesting art & curiosities. It feels more like staying in a cool friends' home than a rental home. We took great use of the hot tub and well equipped kitchen and the very convenient entrance to Joshua Tree Park.

My husband and I stayed at Heike and Georg’s cozy desert home for a birthday staycation and it was everything we could have hoped for! The temperature was perfect to make use of the pool and the privacy made spending lots of outdoor time all the better. Aside from the pool, we loved the homey and curated decor which left us feeling creative and inspired throughout the trip. Heike and Georg were very accommodating, even giving us an early check in so we could make the most of our trip. They were also very responsive with all of our questions and made our stay that much better.

This place was amazing, spacious, and the price was great for all that you are getting. Would definitely recommend!

What an amazing place! The property is nestled in the boulders and is practically its own park. In addition, the surroundings have the traces, ruins (?), of a major performance art space that was active in the late 1990s. There are funky twisted metal parts of domes, solar powered mood lighting, wooden stages, and dozens of little areas with chairs, tables, and gold painted bedframes for camping out. A little eerie? Yes. But that's not a bad thing, if you are willing to go with the vibe. Separate from the property, the house is super well-appointed. Solid kitchen set-up, extensive games / toys, expansive first aid kit, and more.

We had a wonderful time, Daniel‘s place is awesome! The yard is so peaceful. The house is so nice and tidy , it was beautiful at night looking at the stars and enjoying all of the nature that’s surrounds the place. I had a great time and I definitely plan on Staying here again in the future, it was perfect Location, close to everything that we wanted to see and do , I will definitely be returning for a longer trip next time.

This was my third stay at Britt’s over the past five years, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. The location is both convenient and beautiful—just a short drive to Joshua Tree National Park and nestled in a peaceful, scenic setting. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking, exploring, or stargazing. The space is always spotless and thoughtfully designed, with cozy touches that make it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen is fully stocked with any tools/utensils you might need if you want to cook, which I really appreciate after a long day out.

Marcos place was awesome, beautiful backyard where we enjoyed watching sunset, we enjoyed the hot-tub, also the kitchen had everything so we easily cooked our dinner, Marcos was quick to respond to the situation which came during our stay

This was my second time staying at Bjorn's place - this time for a full week. I quickly developed a routine of going on morning hikes either in Joshua Tree or the BLM land behind the property, then coming back in the afternoon to relax in the shade of the back porch. The house is well stocked with everything you need for cooking, and most important for me, it was secluded and peaceful. You'll see plenty of desert wildlife from your windows too. I highly recommend it.

Echo is a great host. Perfect location to unwind and relax in Jacuzzi and stargaze. Had an amazing night

We were really happy with our stay. at Coyote Creak Retreat. First it was easy to get to using Roy's instructions and also easy to get into. The home was clean and full of little items that you may have forgotten to bring....lots of spices, condiments, some medicine cabinet items, coffee, etc. Then it had all the extras: albums, huge variety of DVDs, games, espresso machine besides a coffee maker, etc. There are also helpful instructions around the place. Hot tub was also very nice. Place was quiet but full of animal life if you sat on the patio and watched. But most important to me was the responsiveness of our host. We got responses to our questions in a very timely manner. We would come here again.

This was our second stay here. It’s so beautiful, clean, quiet, and a perfect location. The views are amazing, especially at night. It’s safe and feels remote but isn’t far from JTNP.

My group of 7 stayed at this airbnb during MDW and overall we had a really great time. The house is beautiful and large enough to accommodate a group of 7 adults. We had 3 adults staying in the bunk bed room and they were comfortable for the most part. The mattresses in the other two bedrooms were very comfortable. The bedding was clean and there were ample towels for the pool and bathing. There were some issues we encountered such as there being no hand soap in both bathrooms and no hand soap in the kitchen. There also was only half a roll of paper towels provided which we quickly went through and there were no additional garbage bags provided as well. In the primary bedroom there was no body wash in the shower but there were hair products. And in the other bathroom there was body wash and hair products. The pool was great even in early May. Cons: Ants in kitchen Place can be a little hot (can only lower thermostat to around 70) Found a dead lizard in the pool Lack of soap

As soon as we stepped inside we immediately fell in love. The home was so well decorated it felt as though we stepped back into the 70s. We loved how clean each room was and how well stocked everything was from cooking utensils to extra towels and blankets. The wood fence provided lots of privacy to enjoy the cowboy pool and hot tub. The neighborhood is quiet and very close to many places like restaurants, thrift stores, JTree and more! We would most definitely book The Coyote house next time we hit the desert!

This was our first time in Joshua Tree, and quite honestly I can’t imagine a better place to have stayed. The house itself feels as though it was built from the surrounding area - incredibly homey while also being stylish. It was extremely comfortable and it was in the perfect location. The view is incredible and the sunsets and sunrises are precious. Cannon the host was wonderful to communicate with and was very friendly. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

This was a perfect getaway. I wanted a place to read, write, create, relax, sit in silence and enjoy. 🍽 Cooked everymeal x 3 nights. Great kitchen. 🌵Secluded desert property. 🪟 Big window views of mountains. ☀️ Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. 🪑 Outdoor patios, seating and privacy. ✨️ Hottub with night sky view. 🛀 Great soaking tub with skylight. 🧹 Clean, comfy. Had everything we needed. 🐇 Saw roadrunners, bunnies, chipmunks. 🐕 Fully fenced and safe yard for my lil dog. 🚶‍♂️Nice walking trails. Felt safe. 🥸 No upclose neighbors. Off the beaten path. 🏜 Loved the Noah Purifoy outdoor art sculptures. Definitely a wonderful home.

Amazing property, communication was perfect and the check in was really easy. This place is magical, and if you’re in group, it’s totally worth every penny!

Great location - Close to the park and downtown Joshua Tree. Loved the house - ample space, good layout, backyard area with seating and tables, plus amenities including toddler needs. Very comfortable beds!

We absolutely LOVED this spot! In case you’re in the fence: the accommodations are more than worth the price. The location feels totally secluded and serene, but you’re right next to all the good stuff in Joshua tree. The whole place inside & out is charming and thoughtfully furnished. Wonderful kitchen for cooking stocked with everything you need, beautiful dishes and glassware (& a really nice coffee set up!!) , dreamy bedroom, luxurious shower, amazing yard for relaxing with tons of space and a bunch of cozy hang areas. Hot tub & outdoor bathtub & shower were all super nice. Hosts are very responsive and kind…honestly might be the best I’ve ever felt about an Airbnb stay?? Zero complaints — could go on and on about how much we loved it. We’ll definitely be back!
