Monthly Rentals in Johnstons River

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing weeklong stay at Lisa and Rob's waterfront cottage. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and centrally located. It's completely private with a level yard overlooking the river. It's peaceful and quiet - yet only 15 minutes from downtown Charlottetown if you want to go out for some city nightlife. One word of warning - in the twilight hours of August, there are a lot of mosquitoes outside. Fortunately, this place has a screened-in section of its huge deck along with a sunroom which we made regular use of. Lisa and Rob were terrific hosts. We were personally greeted upon arrival and then given complete privacy thereafter. The cottage was extremely clean, well-stocked, and organized, making great use of the available space. A binder with detailed instructions for all appliances in each room was also helpful. There was even a nice welcome basket of goodies! Our hosts were very responsive whenever we needed to communicate with them.

The place was great, and well represented by the listing. Definitely a new-ish interior. We heard a few planes, but really as soon as you hear the engine they’re gone and it’s a non-issue. My kids were actually disappointed. The neighbourhood seemed really safe, quiet and nice. Would recommend and stay again. Also- laundry was invaluable on our long trip and worked well.

The Peter’s Homestead was a beautiful space for our PEI trip! Exquisitely furnished, private, peaceful, clean and comfortable! Just about 15 minutes drive from Charlottetown where there are restaurants and entertainment! We recommend seeing the Anne musical!! Just about an hour from any beach you want to visit, and of course Anne’s Heritage Place!! We were very happy and would love to come back someday! The house is in a wooded area so you will need bug spray for the mosquitoes (which they provide at the house).

This cozy cottage was a great find for part of our PEI stay. The welcome gift Michelle left for us was awesome. She even went out of her way to get the coffee we like. The view from the back of the cottage is spectacular. The cottage was decorated very tastefully and not over done. The bedroom is very small but the bed was super comfy. Thank you Michelle for a wonderful stay.
