Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hubbard Lake

April was an awesome communicator. We loved the place. I highly recommend it. The jacuzzi and wildlife watching was wonderful.

This place was so nice and relaxing! One thing that we were happy about is that they welcomed dogs! We have 2, 9 month old mini poodles and this was their first adventure so having a host that accepts pets was #1 on our list. This place is way better than the pictures! We felt right at home and we loved watching the boats go by on the river! The beds were so comfy and made for an even better relaxing time. I highly recommend this place. It is very private and quiet! We saw lots of different types of birds, including a couple eagles. We knew a beaver was close by but never got to see him, only his handy work. I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back in the future! Thank you Donald, we soooo enjoyed your place!

This place was exactly what we where looking for when we wanted to get away. Beautiful scenery and If we wanted to get out into the "Public", there are great restaurants and grocery stores less than 10 minutes away.

Pros: This is an amazing place for a large group. Plenty of space for sleeping, talking, eating, etc. With 12 adults we never once felt crowded or cramped while in the house. Each bedroom has its own AC, so everyone could sleep at their own comfort level. Everyone was comfortable for the entire stay. The home is overly stocked with the necessities - no need to worry about bringing anything but clothes and food. The host is super responsive, friendly and helpful. This is truly a hidden gem in Glennie and we would absolutely rent again. Cons: The internet needs an upgrade (Starlink) as it went in and out during the stay - this did not bother our group as we wanted to unplug from the world, but may be an issue for others. The bunker house has a bathroom but it was not usable during our stay. We did not need to use the bunker house but hopefully this will be fixed for future visitors.

Stayed in Topinbee to attend Mackinac Island Lilac Festival. This was an amazing spot to relax from the busy festival activites! Having a quiet evening in the hot tub with the beautiful view of Lake Mullet was quickly a favorite activity! Cannot recommend this rental enough for an extremely relaxed and pleasant lakeside space. Hosts were very responsive, gave great recommendations, and were incredibly helpful when we worried we misplaced one of our personal items. Hopefully we'll be able to make the trip again next year for the next fest!

Bailey was a great host. She was responsive and helpful when we had issues. The house was nice, clean, and spacious.

This place is out of a dream. A perfect spot to unwind. Right on the lake. Has all the amenities. Nothing else I would change about this spot. This is my second visit and will definitely not be the last.

Bill was a very nice and responsive host, giving us anything from movie recommendations to good restaurants in the area. Any time I messaged him with questions he messaged back within the hour. The house was just as beautiful as expected and very well cleaned and maintained. I definitely plan on going back in the future!

What an absolute "gem" in the woods. We couldn't have asked for a better host. Jennifer was very receptive and periodically checked "to make sure" everything was okay. The house was in a secluded and quiet wooded neighborhood. There is something to be said about enjoying a hot cup of coffee sitting and the porch and taking in the sights and sounds of autumn and the smell of the fallen leaves. The dogs had a great time exploring the fenced in yard. I have a passion for cooking and found the kitchen supplied with an abundant supply of cooking utensils and pots and pans with a large kitchen table to sit down and enjoy those dishes. Quiet time in the evenings were spent watching movies in the family rooms. The house is centrally located and never more than an hour away from our daily adventures in various areas in the state. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and would gladly stay here again.

The place was as described. Very clean and provided all conviences from home. Dishes made cooking easy and clean up items such as paper towels and soap made tidy up easy. Close to the boardwalk and plenty of wildlife to view.

Had a great time with the kids at Edwards place. Definitely off the beaten path, 20 min drive to property driving on gravel and then dirt/sand after the gate, was a little tight between the vegetation on the path with my truck but no damage done(couple minor scratches). You'll get used to the solar power and learn to conserve, make sure to charge during the day. Amazingly beautiful property, crazy quite. We didn't see much wildlife during our stay, mostly a wide variety of birds. we rented the small boat and made it to the sandbar on Hubbard lake, if your not too familiar with boats I would rent a boat in the surrounding lakes before trying to make it by river to Hubbard lake. River is GREAT for kayak, canoe or paddle board plus you won't scare off the wildlife with the sound of the engine. Overall, we had a great time in this secluded setting and spending quality time with the kids without wifi/internet.

Brenda’s house was more beautiful than the pictures! We enjoyed our visit. We were happy that the items we forgot to pack were already at the house for us to use. Very prompt in answering all questions, which made preparations seamless. Many family memories made during this trip!

We felt right at home and was the perfect place to take our dogs for their first vacation. Beautiful lakefront and walkable to the local bar/restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.

Lots of fun to be had at Linda’s establishment. We enjoyed the fire pit and the WELL stocked wood to accommodate our camp fire😊

Great location where we needed to be and Eric was very accommodating by letting us in a little early, wound recommend this place and wound stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bob and Lisa’s place!

This was the perfect place for my family of six adults and one dog. We loved having the four kayaks and it was easy to get into the water from the dock. We enjoyed fishing from the dock too. Our dog loved the beach access to the water. We went in the hot tub and soaked up the beautiful view. The kitchen table seats six and was exactly what we needed when we played games. We played a few games of ping pong and foosball in the garage. The outdoor shared pool, pickleball court, playground, and basketball court are only a 5 minute walk away. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioners kept the whole place cool. We loved this home on the lake.

Brian’s home away from home is cozy and just far enough away From the busy city. It is spacious and accommodates several people. It is close to fishing, kayaking, and trails. He even allowed our treasured dog to come with us which saved us the trouble of boarding our dog. If you want a place that brings you to nature’s corner this home will fulfill that.

My family & I loved it . Everyone was content just staying at the cottage . Lol but we did check out A couple of the recommendations & they were very nice !! Great stay will definitely book again !!

Rustic charm Beautiful scenery…. Can’t say enough about that.. Host were so quick to respond to any questions we had! (Very important) Great fishing spots! Neighbor lake has much bigger fish!! Beds super clean and fresh smelling and comfortable! TVs have lots of channels Pool table was added fun! Everything you needed for a family of 10 to enjoy some tranquility and family fun! Just beautiful! All around:) Go to Landing Zone for bowling! Veteran owned! And we went to Mancino’s (it looked vacant but new owners) great pizza and yummy grinders (homemade bread) that offers gluten free pizza and also has garlic knots!! Only 2 regrets, we didn’t book 2 wks & we really did not prepare for Michigan weather. Haha Bring sweatshirts and pants cuz mornings cold and afternoons warm and evenings cold. Can’t wait to go back!
