Calf cabin- Unique and beautiful farmstead!

Countryside getaway! If you want to experience something unique during your trip to Iceland this little house has been repurposed as guest house. On our farm it has always been called the Calf cabin, as it was used as a small barn and a stable in the past. On the outside we preserved the old rock laying and the architecture style but mixed old and new styles on the inside. We recycled and repurposed as much material as possible and we are pleased with the outcome. Now it is a cozy little suite.

Vorsabær Apartment is very well located for couples travelling in the Golden Circle area. Please notice we are 25 minutes drive from Selfoss town in the middle of the Golden circle area. From here there are 15 minutes to Flúðir, 30 minutes to Þjórsárdalur and within 45 minutes to Geysir, Gullfoss and þingvellir Nationalpark. Check in is very easy, a keybox outside the door. Then Hvílusteinn is perfect as a getaway from the city into the wilderness & as a base camp for South Iceland, within 100 km you have most of Iceland's popular gems! Airport about 170km away. It's nice to just enjoy the local nature and the northern lights in this remote and secluded area of the countryside with a private outdoor shower and shared indoor shower and a sauna. Perfect stay for exploring south Iceland and enjoy nature and the northern lights in winter. Beautiful cabin by the river Hvítá in a prime location in the Golden Circle. Near Gullfoss and Geysir and only 100 km to the capital city Reykjavík. The cabin can accommodate 2-4 persons. One bedroom with beds for two people. In the living room there is a pull-out sofa for two persons. The kitchen is fully stocked. The bathroom has a shower and the laundry room has a washing machine and a dryer.

My place is close to The Golden Circle and the Highlands. The place has picturesque view. You can see Hekla, Eyjafjallajökul, Langjökull through the windows of the cottage. Closed to the cottage is Skálholt church, one of Iceland´s most important historic sites. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the coziness, the kitchen, the hot tub. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Only 2 km to Health service. If you have back problems we have a soft mattress for you.

Vidar & Osp have a beautiful farm property with horses & sheep and all the necessary amenities for a peaceful stay. Their communication is on point and they are happy to respond to a guest's requests. The kitchen is well stocked and the rooms & common areas are adequate for anything a guest might need. We would love to come back and stay if we ever visit the area again.

This was incredibly convenient for its location on the golden circle, close to both Geysir and Gulfoss. We only stayed for a quick overnight, and the space served the three of us well. We never had a problem with access to the bathrooms, though perhaps they weren’t fully booked that night either.

My absolute highlight on Airbnb I've ever had. It was incredibly beautiful and lovingly furnished with lots of details. Quiet private environment for relaxing days. The Golden Circle is good and quick to reach for activities. There is even a hot spring 8 minutes away by car (Hrunalaug, open 9:00 am - 11:00 pm). The coffee was excellent for those who like to sit outside in nature in the morning and enjoy it. I can recommend the property! I was there for two days If someone has more time, I recommend several days.

The coolest place i’ve ever stayed. So unique, so beautiful- and we came in June so it’s pretty much daylight 24 hours a day, so no northern lights but still worth it. The complex is shared with 3 other apartments so sometimes could get loud when hearing others walk around but that’s kind of inevitable. Other than that the place is private and on a beautiful farm/property.
