House vacation rentals in Hood River

We stay at this property once a year. The property and location are both amazing, but the responsiveness and consideration of the host is what keeps us coming back year after year. If you do manage to find a comparable property I can guarantee you will not find comparable hosts. They're amazing!

The Cranes View was exactly what we needed and were looking for. It is the perfect location to watch the action on the Columbia River, enjoy the sunset and view the dam. The house was spacious, clean, had all the basic needs and a bonus game room. We would stay here again.

Our stay at Rohin and Michelle’s home was absolutely perfect. Tucked in a peaceful neighborhood, the house was cozy, spotless, and felt like a charming cabin in the woods. Perfect for my partner and I and our little doggo. We appreciated the thoughtful dog-friendly touches as well. The hot tub was an easy favorite, especially with the sounds of the forest all around. Check-in was simple, everything we needed was clearly laid out, and Michelle was a great communicator and fantastic host. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was truly one of the most amazing spots I’ve ever seen! The house is set right on a beautiful mountain river - peaceful, private, and incredibly cozy. It feels like the owners stay here from time to time, which gives the home a special character and warmth that’s hard to find. It has soul, and you feel it the moment you walk in. The house was spotless, very clean and well-maintained! The firepit area was a highlight - we spent hours there as a family, just relaxing and enjoying the setting. Honestly, I could write paragraphs about how great this place is! My parents kept asking why we only booked 2 nights instead of a full week! Huge thanks to Chris, who was super helpful with local fishing tips and quick to respond to any questions we had. If you're traveling through the Mt. Hood area, this is an absolute must-stay. We will definitely stay here again!

We loved staying here! It was a bit far from all the things we chose to do in Portland, but the drive back and forth was beautiful, picturesque, and actually a lot of fun! The place itself was so cozy, situated just off from the Washougal River. It was a great visit, and we’d happily stay here again if we ever came back to the area!

I booked this place for a girls trip for 9 women in their mid-30s. We had a great stay. The view of Mount Hood is gorgeous. House was clean and spacious. Hot tub worked great. I would definitely stay here again.

I can’t even describe the beauty of this place. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was everything we needed. The windows slide and have screens so it’s perfect. The beds were comfortable, It was clean, and the house was equipped with everything we needed. We had a blast playing the Nintendo, grilling dinner on the porch, and playing in the yard. It was far enough out to be peaceful but convenient to everything we wanted to do like Multnomah Falls. I also have to mention something that probably doesn’t matter to everyone but most places you stay give you scratchy small towels. Not this place. They are equipped with plush bath sheets. It’s those details that put this place at the top of my list! We did not want to leave!!! Thank you for an excellent stay!

Another great stay at Snowdrop. The house is beautifully setup and comfortable for a group stay. The sleeping areas, kitchen and communal areas are very nice. The deck area is special. Private and comfortable with great views. Michelle is a friendly and responsive host who is great to work with. I’ll stay here again.

We've been coming to Hood River every year for the past decade, Eric's place is likely the best place we've ever stayed at! It was right in the center of town, most places we've stayed at are up the hill quite a bit which can be tough with older family or young kids. It had a huge beautiful view from almost all rooms. The layout was very thoughtful with two "primary" type rooms and a kids play room. The kitchen/family room/balcony were also very spacious and well appointed. Overall awesome stay. We just had the 3 of us (2 adults and a small child) but we could definitely see bringing along my parents or another family and being very comfortable! Thanks!

Our family of 4 stayed at Stephanie’s place and it was one of the best—if not the best—AirBnB experience we have ever enjoyed. Super clean space, exactly as shown in the pictures. We immediately felt at home. Loved the fireplace as the weather was chilly during our visit. Spotless kitchen, wonderful shower, comfortable beds in a serene location overlooking Columbia River. Stephanie told us where to get fresh, u-pick fruit, and even gave us a sample to whet our appetites. Highly recommend Stephanie’s accommodations and will definitely return if we’re ever back in Hood River!

Al and Lisa’s place was truly exceptional. The home was warm, inviting, and full of thoughtful touches that made our visit feel special. From the dishes to the plug in stations next to the beds. Everything reflected their care and attention to detail. And the breathtaking view! We felt completely at home in their upstairs space and appreciated the effort they put into creating such a welcoming environment.

This was hands-down my favorite Air BnB I’ve ever stayed in. It was peaceful, serene, and beautiful, and the hosts went out of their way to make sure we felt at home and had great recommendations for local attractions! I would come back to Oregon just to stay here again!

Great spot with really nice views that was a cozy place to rest between activities. Nice kitchen with a deck, grill and hot tub made it easy to hang around and relax. The local town of Hood River was a 10-minute drive with plenty of shops and restaurants, and the drive to downtown Portland is only about an hour. Would definitely recommend for a vacation spot away from the city but still close enough to find something fun to do.

It was a absolutely stunning home down to every detail. The hosts were amazing and went beyond our expectations. They had the coolest room under the stairs for kids to play in and lots of fun kid toys. If we come back we will definitely want to stay here again. By far the best air bnb experience we have had.

Laura’s place was even cuter than in the photos and very clean/tidy. Both the front and back have pleasant outdoor lounging areas. She was a responsive hostess and even brought over a new hair dryer when we couldn’t find one. There’s very easy access to Hood River and alm the beauty around it!

Wonderful accommodations in a peaceful quiet setting. Clean homey house with everything we needed.

In the world of Airbnb, my experience of late is a lot of listings overpromise by using photos that exaggerate and/or are dated by years. I’ve had several in the last year that had me anticipating luxury and delivered something far from. Bruce’s place is fair and accurate. The location, relative to Hood River is awesome! His photos and descriptions are accurate. It’s a bit different in that he doesn’t try to hide that you’re staying in a house someone generally lives in, but again, all that shows up honestly in his listing. The photos are also honest. I’d stay there again.

WOW, nice little gem we. And across when I saw this listing. We loved it so much we stayed another extra day. The place is clean and so relaxing. We will be back for sure.

We absolutely loved this cabin in the woods - it was magnificent! It was so private - exactly what our family of 4 needed as we vacationed from our busy lives. And the hike to Duncan Falls was incredible. What an enchanting area! We will plan to visit this property again because we were so taken with the unique architecture, private space, and beautiful scenery! A true gem in the Columbia Gorge!

It’s more comfortable and more beautiful than all the pictures. The river is completely visible from the living room and you can hear it all night. Within a 20 minute drive you can find amazing spots for hiking, swimming, scenic views, a few local restaurants(Pacific Northwest Pizza is amazing!), and just about anything else you would want from a location like this. If you’re willing to go an hour or two away you can get to Mt. St. Helens, the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, the Columbia River Gorge, and plenty more. The only hiccup we had for our stay was when we accidentally locked ourselves out and the Wi-Fi happened to be down(the provider’s issue, not our wonderful hosts’!). Thankfully someone was at the other house on the property to help us. The hosts were always very friendly and respectful of our privacy. We loved our time here so much and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and fun place to get away. We hope to come back some day!

The house was perfect for three generations. The grandparents had a first floorbedroom room and the parents and two children had the upstairs. This is a beautiful home removated with taste. We all enjoyed the neighborhood and took walks around the treelined streets. This location is charming. Maury is easy to reach and responds quickly. I would stay in this lovely house anytime I returned to beautiful Hood River.

Fantastic home!!! Beautifully set up in the trees. The light and windows were magical. One of the most fabulous homes I’ve ever enjoyed.
