Chalet vacation rentals in Hochkar

It was great! The pictures don't do justice to the beautiful surroundings, but that's not possible. Bernhard is a great host and spontaneously drove us to the cabin because our friends were not yet there by car. Warning, a city car (Skoda Citygo) cannot make the climb up to the cabin! We had to spontaneously rent another car). Otherwise a very nice stay in the mountains.

Highly recommend!!! The hosts are very kind! Took you all good. You even get a recommendation for shopping and restaurants nearby. Super nice view of the mountains from the cabin. You felt right at home!

The house as described Great location, amazing views. The ski resort is very small, as there is also little snow . The slopes at the hotel were snowy, so the ski school could take place. The other elevator didn't work. You can drive to the neighboring Lachtal. Otherwise, everything is small and clear, especially for children who are good for skiers for the first time. In the village you can buy the essentials, very expensive! Better to bring everything. There was no cabin, you were on / on the slopes as parents and watched.

Very nice and modern chalet :) We spent an extended weekend as a family with 6 adults in the beautiful chalet. It was super nicely decorated, clean and had great amenities! There is an infrared sauna behind a sliding door and a fireplace in the living room and a grill (brush for cleaning was unfortunately not available). 3 separate bedrooms on the first floor, 2 large rooms with balcony and a very very small room, in which only the bed and a shelf stands. Unfortunately, the bedrooms are very light-sounding, so sleeping was difficult as soon as other people in the other bedrooms or in the kitchen/living room talked. Bed linen + towels must be brought along or can be rented at an extra charge. Don't forget dish towels, paper towels and sponge ;) We felt right at home and would come back any time.

everything was great, super weekend

We were here as a band for a weekend and had a lovely time. The place is clean, quietly located and well equipped – the indoor climate was great, we all slept great. The rippling of the small waterfall outside the door was particularly beautiful. It is good to know that ventilation can only be done via the entrance door. The hosts were very friendly and have a sweet dog named Bella. Communication via Airbnb was warm and pleasant. There was some confusion at check-in as it was unclear how we were supposed to get in, which seemed a bit spontaneous. Also at check-out, the request to leave earlier came at very short notice, which unfortunately was not possible. There is an ant problem on Airbnb that hosts are aware of. We are particularly grateful for the spontaneous help with a car problem (light left on) – without this help we would not have been able to leave! For groups who know each other well, it's a nice place to come down.

Very nice cottage with everything you could ever need. We had a lovely time and can recommend the cottage especially in the off-ski season. :) Especially the cleanliness was outstanding!

Absolutelly fantastic. You can have a grill party in front of the cottage, the nearest house is about 1 km away. Absolutelly beautifull nature with view on Grimming. You can use wood in Haus. Very silent at night, if you are overloaded at work, highly recommend to stay here at least for couple of days.

The stay was great. Check-in was very easy and check-out was too. Have a few small complaints, Jacuzzi didn't work on the 1st day. There were no grill tongs available and there were no dishwasher tabs. So you often had to go back to a store for small things. However, if we had any questions, we were helped very quickly and the lady was very nice and helpful. Problems with the Jacuzzi were fixed the very next morning. We highly recommend the stay... There are beautiful walks and nature is breathtaking.

Amazing charlet overlooking the mountains. The house was exactly like described; very cleen, plenty of room and a completely equipped kitchen that makes it easy to cook all sorts of meals. Christian is a great host that is very helpfull before and after the visit. Very recommendable.

There were 8 of us in the beautiful chalet (4 adults, 4 children). We came after the ski season to have some quiet time and we were actually almost alone in the small settlement. The huts directly on site were of course not in operation. The kids had fun sledding and there are easy hiking trails and playgrounds all around. The house was tip top, clean and furnished to a high standard and offered a lot of coziness even on cool days thanks to the fireplace and sauna. Right next to the house, a small stream rushes, which you can hear when sleeping on the house side and we found it relaxing. The Fohnsdorf thermal baths are an ideal day trip. Our hosts were very helpful and accommodating.

We had a wonderful time at Judith and Mario's place. The historic chalet is very well maintained, super equipped and in a heavenly location. We were spoiled every morning with a wonderful breakfast that nothing was missing. All organic, and especially the beautiful colorful eggs from the farm's own chickens were great. Everything was lovingly packed and prepared and you can tell that the two do everything with a lot of passion. A special highlight for us was also that we were able to get to know the goats that are lovingly kept in the farm. We would have preferred to spend the whole day in the stable if the sauna had not been called. All in all we had fantastic holidays, and will definitely come back to the little paradise. ❤️

Staying at this place was great! Communication with the host was fast and seamless, everything was as agreed. The apartment was cozy and exactly as described in the ad. The location is great, in a quiet environment. I would definitely like to come back and recommend this place to other travelers.

this place is impressive

We were there for the AirPower event. Unfortunately a little longer away by car, but ideal for overnight and sleeping. Everything is available, some things could be modernized, but that doesn't detract from the feel-good factor.

Great place and we loved it

Fantastic mountain house with a beautiful view. Completely private, the entire hillside belongs to the house. The house is equipped with everything, the kitchen was well equipped, and there is also a washing machine, a dishwasher and a sauna. Communication with the owner was easy, we received all information in advance! Dog-friendly place with great hiking opportunities in the area! I can absolutely recommend it, we will definitely come back!

We had a lovely stay at this chalet. We were really surprised by how spacious it was, and we especially appreciated the variety of spaces where everyone could find their space. Everything was clean, the beds were super comfortable and we could not get enough of the view.

As amazing as the pictures are, this house and its surroundings were even more stunning than the photos! The house is a restored farmhouse on a hilltop at the end of a forest road. It’s completely private and absolutely quiet. There’s a pond for swimming and a hot tub on the deck. The whole place is surrounded by lawn. The trees, flowers, and birds are incredible. Inside, the house is beautiful and very comfortable. The host, Martina, was very helpful and responsive. There is a delightful town on the Ybbs River about 10 minutes away by car—the best ice cream shop anywhere, an ancient fortress, great cafes, wonderful walking paths. This Airbnb was superb.
