Great place to spend time in Hikkaduwa

My boyfriend and I had a great time at this lovely apartment in Unawatuna! The apartment is really spacious with a huge living space and a large, well-equipped kitchen that we used to prepare fresh fruit and make coffee. The kitchen also has a large fridge, which was super convenient. The large balcony was one of the highlights for us – we spent many relaxing hours there. The host was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast, which was served every day. The location is also great with a short distance to the water, which made it easy to get to the beach. One thing to keep in mind is that the apartment is close to the train rails. Trains don't run at night, but they can be heard in the morning if you're a light sleeper. However, this was not a big issue for us. All in all, we highly recommend this place – it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely come again!

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

We stayed in the apartment for a month. Everything was great, nice apartment, private area. There is a swimming pool and a gym on site. The staff is helpful. Many thanks to Danoja, we checked in earlier than the agreed time, all issues that arose were resolved promptly (even those that arose due to our stupidity), friendly communication. Thank you very much! We will definitely come again!

Had a great stay at this beautifully furnished, duplex condominium. The apartment has ample space, is extremely comfortable and ideally suited for a large family or group. It is also equipped with all the amenities you would expect from any 5* hotel. The host, Minoli was also extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. All in all, one of the best condominium properties in the area!

A large clean modern apartment. Very very comfortable for a long stay and even work. Fast speed unlimited wifi which is rare for Sri Lanka. Very well equipped in terms of furniture. Chamaka was extremely cooperative and helped us during our stay with things like bike rent, money exchange, laundry etc. IMO this is much better than renting a villa for the same price.

The villa is just lovely. All the photos match the description. We were incredibly lucky and there were no neighbors during our stay and the entire villa belonged to us, it was possible to walk and bathe naked, because the villa is no longer visible anywhere (only sometimes there were workers in the neighboring villa). Amazing views towards the rice fields. There are quite strong waves in Hikkaduwa, so I bathed even more often in the pool than in the ocean. Also this villa is a prime stay away from the big road. The only thing is that it is difficult to get from the villa to Hikkaduwa itself, if you do not have a bike, because there are no tuktuks there. But we were always helped by the host Nisanka. He called a tuk if he was needed. Also Nisanka always helped us with all questions, cleaning the pool, even when we were stuck in the hospital in another city, he saved us 😂 This is really the best service I've ever met at Airbnb.

We have stayed in the apartment before so everything was familiar. We had a great stay there and would recommend the apartment.

We didn’t expect this place to be this amazing! Brand new house, with everything you need inside. Very quiet location, away from the main road. If you have a bike, everything (beach, shops, cafes, etc) is reachable within 5-10 min drive - which is a perfect combination! We were even more amazed by the hosts themselves. Kindest people, always ready to help with anything. Chandi is always reachable & always helpful. Her sister Kusum is one of the loveliest people I met. Very thankful to them for everything. All in all, definitely recommend this place & would come back here anytime we travel to Sri Lanka!

Wonderful house designed by a brilliant architect in a peaceful part of Hikkaduwa. The gardens are full of trees and beautiful birds frequently visit. It is wonderful to sit on the terrace and relax. Our hosts were delightful, kind and considerate, and very polite. We highly recommend this place.

Pavi, Bathi and their family and friends are the loveliest of people, always ready to help or offer advice when needed. Our apartment was situated on the 2nd floor and was lovely, bedroom and bathroom bare very large as is the kitchen diner, if there was anything you needed Pavi got it sorted asap, the grounds are immaculate and have a plethora of wildlife wandering the grounds, the use of the swimming pool was a great addition. Polhena itself is situated in a great spot for travelling out from and has a wonderful little beach(it does get busy at weekends). Shops are in walking distance as is the main town of Matara or a short fun tuk tuk ride. Colombo and other places are easily accessible via buses or train, both a fun way to travel. We will be back.

I had an amazing stay at Crystal Villa Weligama, a perfect retreat for relaxation and productivity. The villa features 3 beautifully designed bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups. The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need, and with fiber optic internet, it’s great for digital nomads. Located in a calm and quiet area, the villa offers a large garden for relaxation. Just 800 meters from the beach and town, it’s a short 5-10 minute walk to enjoy the sun and surf. The neighborhood is safe and secure, ideal for families. The host, Ruwan, is incredibly helpful, ensuring a comfortable stay. Crystal Villa Weligama is one of the best places to stay in the area, offering comfort, convenience, and tranquility. I highly recommend it for both work and leisure.

Villa Jungle Paradise is fantastic , so is Sudath and his wife. Very helpful with everything. Edith was very with the foot massages to recover her ankle after her fall. The place is situated in the jungle with a nice swimming pool, clean, quiet, birds whistle, high in the trees monkeys now and then. Only 800 meters walking to the beach. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit. And also near two of our favorite restaurants : Jungle restaurant and Wijaya beach restaurant.

After 3 times visiting this home stay the experience becomes better each time. Chani and Nimal gives you a genuine feeling of being cared for. Very flexible, charming and kind couple. There are possibilities for sightseeing with Nimal and Chani easily arrange cooking classes and her dishes are top class. We are for sure coming back!!

Very kind and responsive host. They allowed for a flexible check in as my flight didn’t get in until late, and I didn’t arrive at the house until around 1am. Hosts were very friendly and the house is lovely. They gave us local recommendations for food and helped us with the train times. Only thing was that the location on the map wasn’t right, and the house is actually about 10 minutes down the road.

It was an excellent experience to stay at Ekuku. Alex and Hedwig made us feel more comfortable. The place , people and the food made the whole a stay a amazing one.

Had a wonderful stay at Sam's Condominium-neat and clean apartment with stunning views and the soothing sound of waves . The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, making it a perfect coastal escape.

The accommodation is beautiful and right on the sea. If you don't want to eat in the restaurant in the building complex, you always need a taxi to the nearest restaurant. Special requests were always taken into account and fulfilled. Furthermore, we were helped a lot in organizing the transfer to the airport.

Great apartment, had all the basic necessities! The host and family were so incredibly helpful! Gave us a number for a great tuck tuck driver, warned us about the rambunctious monkeys that like to stop by, tried to keep us up to date on the power outages and more. It’s a lovely little jungle villa, with that being said, jungle = lots of bugs, there’s no way around it. Just don’t leave any open food out and that will help lessen the bug situation. Also, mirissa beach (great spot for restaurants and beach days) is a bit too far to walk, so I’d recommend getting a scooter or a bike and the host has a person for that too!! All around, would stay again if we come back to Sri Lanka! Host and family were so so so helpful and friendly!

We had a wonderful stay in Serenity Villa! The grounds are stunning and well-maintained, and the whole place felt very peaceful. The house was clean with all necessary amenities, and the AC works well. There is also a lovely little cat who lives on the grounds and is very friendly! Sarath (the caretaker) was so welcoming and made us feel very at home. Veronika was a quick responder to messages and very flexible with timings for us. Overall, would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Wonderful Stay We had an amazing stay on this beautiful property located in Galle . The space was immaculately clean and very spacious, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The complex offers great amenities – we especially enjoyed the pool& the gym. There’s also ample car parking, which made things so convenient. Our host Any was extremely responsive and helpful, making check-in smooth and answering all our questions quickly. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
