The Lodge is the perfect place for a getaway with your family or friends. Jane is an amazing host and everything is as described and shown in the photos. Great location with peaceful surroundings. The beautiful Colo River is only a couple of minutes walk away. Shame we didn't get a chance to swim as it was cold, however will definitely be back during summer to make use of it!

St Albans is a beautiful place. The Blue Barn has a great outlook onto the Macdonald Rover Valley. We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the location 2.4km out of town. a great place. People just need to be aware that the town of St Albans has limited infrastructure. The local pub, is an old Australian classic and the coffee at the Pickled Wombat is quite good. However, the quiet location is why you go to St Albans!

This place is the most perfect little hidden country paradise. We were amazed at the beauty of the place, especially the surrounding fields with the goats, sheeps and cows. The sunset was breathtaking and we couldn’t have hoped for a better stay. One little thing that would have been good is having heaters in the house as the nights were pretty cold and we only had a fireplace in the main area so the rooms remained pretty cold. Other than that. the house and its patio were really welcoming and we appreciated the tea and coffee at our disposal as well as the TV and dvds, bonfire and barbecue. We would recommend to anyone to come stay here, and who knows, we might even come back ourselves ! Thank you

We really enjoyed our stay at her place. It’s truly quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. And there are nearby farms where you can experience fruit picking—like apples and persimmons. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés with lovely views in the surroundings. The cider brewery is a must-visit! Sandra was super responsive—by far the quickest to reply among all the Airbnb hosts we’ve encountered. She made everything easy and smooth throughout our stay👍👍 The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, and everything was well-equipped. The view from the balcony was amazing, and we even got to see sheep grazing naturally in the field, which was a lovely touch. The only downside was the kitchen. We brought food to cook since the listing mentioned a fully equipped kitchen, but some of the kitchenware (frying pans, utensils, and dishcloths) didn’t seem very clean, so we ended up not cooking. Thankfully, there were good restaurants and cafés nearby. Other than that, everything was very satisfyi

We stayed at Madison Mountain Retreat for one night, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anne was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The highlight was of course the alpacas, Anne invited us to the feedings and answered all our questions about these sweet animals. We even had the chance to see a baby born just 20 minutes beforehand, very cute. Let’s not forget the goats, also cute. Our kid loved it. The cottage itself was comfortable, as described, and we managed to squeeze in a swim at the pool. Would recommend, thanks Anne :)

Leigh and her place was just stunning calm surroundings easy place to lose yourself and forget what the time is. Leigh was tremendously helpful, to the point of putting a rose on our bed and freshly cut flowers from her own garden. The grounds, pets and animals are all so beautiful. We really loved our stay. The house is very spacious and had everything we needed. The perfect location for the nearby wedding at St Joseph's we attended. The property is spectacular and very well maintained. We enjoyed our morning walks around the property and seeing the animals. The views from the house are amazing. A great place to relax and unwind. We didn't get to met Pinny but we had a lovely chat with Harry. A very likeable fellow. We hope to visit again one day.

We just spent a wonderful weekend at the cottage in Suntori Park, and it was truly a memorable getaway! The kids had an absolute blast feeding and petting the horses, they couldn't get enough of it! The beautiful surroundings made for some great walks, and we were lucky to have amazing weather the whole time. The cottage itself was cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It felt like a home away from home, and we loved relaxing there after a day of exploring. Highly recommended for a refreshing escape!

I cannot rate this high enough. This place was lovely. My friends and I took a trip here to end my journey in Australia and we were absolutely in awe. Perfect place for a quiet retreat. Emma was each contactable the whole time and just lovely. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will bring the family back here when we are next back in Australia

Such a beautiful home with loads of space! We had a wedding at Cooks Shed and Mary’s place was perfectly located for us! The huge kitchen and multiple living spaces were perfect for our group. Bonus points for the very cute and super friendly dogs that joined us for coffee each morning. 10/10 would recommend this stunning home.

We had a wonderful stay at Hilltop Adventure! The location is peaceful and absolutely beautiful, with stunning views all around. The house was equipped with everything we needed and felt like a true home away from home. Brigitte and Bruce were fantastic hosts—warm, welcoming, and attentive. We especially loved spending time with the friendly animals—the dogs, horses, and even the chicken added such a charming touch. The hot tub was a perfect way to unwind, and the beds were super comfortable. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you again, Brigitte and Bruce!

Gorgeous little cottage, located right being the bakery. Get to the bakers early, it gets busy with lines out the door! The cottage itself had everything we needed. We stayed in June and it was very cold. Even with the fire going and heaters on, we found it a bit chilly inside - typical of these types of cottages - so bring your winter woolies! The access to the farm was the best part of this place. The animal feeding was fantastic for our 6 and 4 yo boys. It’s not just a bit of feed for the animals, but more of a guided feeding session and a tractor ride around the property too. The farm property is beautiful and picturesque and just an enjoyable place to spend a morning. The cottage is in a great spot, close to a few attractions like the botanical gardens, bushwalks and the cider houses, which all offer great feeds and tastings.

One of the most beautiful homes we have stayed with our family. Big enough space for a great trip with 14 of us sleeping very comfortably. Alex had the cot ready for our baby in the main bedroom which was a great set up so our daughter didn’t wake up from naps while the rest of the family played pool or hung out by the fireplace. Alex met us and showed us around the home at check in. The garden is so beautiful and fun to explore, although upper MacDonald didn’t have many attractions for us, the home itself has plenty to do (pool table, pool, huge lounge area, garden etc) and space to have quality family time. At sunset you can sit on the deck and look out at the creek or up at the stars at night to see the clear milky way! It was a dream home equipped with everything you need to stay in for a long weekend.

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at this farmhouse! The location was easily accessible, making our trip stress-free from the start. The place was perfect for our group of seven adults, with plenty of space and all the facilities we could possibly need. The kitchen and laundry were well-equipped and made our stay incredibly convenient. The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful, with a stunning, clean lake view at the back that we couldn’t get enough of. It was the perfect spot for relaxing mornings and evenings. One of the highlights of our stay was the game room – we all had so much fun, and it added a special touch to our experience. The house was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. We would definitely recommend this farmhouse to anyone looking for a serene, enjoyable, and easily accessible getaway. We can’t wait to return!
