My family really enjoyed our stay. It's definitely an off the grid kinda stay. So worth it to put the phone down and enjoy this gem in the woods. The place was well stocked and recently updated. Hot tub was a big added plus! Its definitely a haul from Indiana, but if we are ever in the area again we will be back!!

Secluded Hilltop Retreat: Log Cabin + Hot Tub

BrentRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Best Airbnb experience, the place was spotless, well stocked and had incredible views. Easy drive from DC, great hiking in the National park nearby. The hot tub was fantastic, secluded so you relax. I didn’t use the barn space but it looked amazing. I loved the fire pit. I can’t remember seeing many sunsets without houses or buildings in the view… here you can. This is the one airbnb I would want to come back to consistently. Great hosts, perfect for a getaway to West Virginia for some peace and quiet. Next time I’ll stay longer now that I know what to expect.

Lost River Cabin Retreat

DeborahRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We loved our stay! Richard was a fantastic host, very responsive to our questions and had great local recommendations. We spent hours by the fireplace, and enjoying the screened in porches. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend. Wardensville is just 20 minutes away and has anything you might need to pick up. We enjoyed lunch at Mack’s and visiting the glassworks and markets. We can’t wait to come back!

Lost River Nordic House, dog friendly + hot tub

IsisRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Great spot and perfect space for our family of four. It made for a wonderful long weekend getaway in the woods. Water is a bit sulfur-forward (which is not unexpected) so be sure to bring drinking water if you’re not into it. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Directions were clear and we were easily able to easily access and enjoy our favorite spots in the area. Thanks again!

Lost River Tiny House, dog-friendly + hot tub

KirstenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was great! We enjoyed riding the gravel roads, seeing wildlife. We did think it would be a little bit more private you can see 3 houses from inside but that was not a deal breaker just not what we had expected. To be fair it’s possible we did not read description very well.

The setting of the home was breathtaking!!! The mountain was beautiful and the open patio was perfect to see the moon and stars at night! We were thinking there was too little light on the patio when we arrived but we know now it’s intentional. The home was spacious and had everything we could have needed. Hot tub was amazing and we can’t wait to return to Lost City!!

Lost River WV 3-br 3-ba cabin (#B)

JackieRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Such a great location. Serene. Quiet. Peaceful. Beautiful. Wish I had discovered this cabin while my kids were little. They would have loved swimming at Trout Pond less than 5 minutes away and the local stores at Wardensville. Really appreciated the abundance of coffee, sugar, creamer, toiletries, etc left for guests. So thoughtful. Kelly is an amazing host. Thank you for a lovely relaxing weekend
The exterior view of the condo highlights a charming, two-story building with a combination of wooden beams and light-colored siding. The roof is dark, and a wooden deck extends in front, surrounded by autumn leaves. A clear blue sky provides a bright backdrop.

Light of the Valley River House

KaitlynRating, 5 stars21 months ago
We loved our stay here! It was peaceful and secluded but still with some neighbors nearby. There is plenty to do nearby if you love the outdoors. We went hiking and to Luray caverns. The river front behind the house was well maintained and the water was clear and clean. We went for a swim and so did our dogs. The pictures and description of the house are accurate. It is clean and well kept, yet also simple. We did not have a large group, but the house is spacious enough for a larger family. We are hoping we make it back to this house soon!

Moose Mountain Maison - Golf, Bike, Bryce Resort!

MelissaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We loved our relaxing stay- we sat by the fire, watched movies, played pool, and skied and hiked during our visit. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The host provided extras that were unexpected- handsoap, shower toiletries and a welcome basket of chocolate. So sweet! The house was spacious for our family of 6. I loved that we could all be together and then retreat to our own spaces for sleep.

We have stayed at this home many times because- a.) They have a fenced-in backyard so it is nice to be able to let out our dogs without worrying about them running away and b.) we love hiking at Lost River State Park which is just a short 12 minute ride to from the house, and c. It is a beautiful quaint home- very peaceful and has all the amenities we need.
