Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

Villa was build 1999-2000 as a second home from the family with basic facilities criteria for everyday living. Basic principle was to have a place to calm down but also a house for remote work in home village. Place is pretty nice on top of the hill, scenery is wide almost all over ... tens of kilometers. Style is rustic with a light twist of retro functionalism. Now we have moved 200m, on the opposite side of the road, and we offer Villa for our quest. Your sincerely Leena & Juha

The place is also great for working remotely! Lahti beach is shallow and great for children. Rowing boat and SUP board available. Bring your own linens and towels. A 100-year-old log cabin with amenities in the yard of the main house. For multi-night guests during the heating season, in addition to electricity, furnace heating. Trees ready, guidance or heating if needed. Good road connections. About 10 minutes to Outokumpu and 30 minutes to Joensuu. Koli about an hour and Valamo Monastery about 30 minutes by car. There's also a dog cage outside with a small coop.
