Mountainside Yurt w/ Views < 3 Mi to Black Canyon!

The only negative i have is the hot tub guy came while we were there and drained and refilled the tub which was a little akward and we weren't prepared for anyone coming to the site. Other than that it was a great location, great view, everything was very clean. Would highly recommend for a stay. Montrose was a very cool town with lots of shops and eateries. The store at the base of the black canyon was a must see also. Loved the area and plan to go back.

FANTASTIC HOST and SPOT! You will be sad you didn’t book if you don’t. Tim is hospitable knowledgeable and just as warm as his hand built cabins. The thoughtfulness in the space was very noticeable . Perfect stay. Best Airbnb experience… Can not express this enough!

We had a great stay. Carrie’s place is very close to town and we could walk to everything even with 4 year old.

20' Yurt

We stayed at Secret Creek for a night prior to heading into Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. Hotels in Montrose were very pricey, so this was a unique way to try something new and save some money on lodging. Everything was exactly as described. I didn’t expect to have coffee plus cold creamer and water in a mini fridge while staying in a yurt, so these were appreciated surprises. The bathroom is on the property but not private, but they provide a bag with all the supplies needed such as extra TP and disinfecting wipes as well as bug spray in case you need it. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. You can hear the sounds of nature such as the gentle sounds of the nearby river and birds singing, but it was not as busy nor loud with conversation like typical campgrounds. There were only a couple other people staying on the grounds and we didn’t hear them at all. There are a few restaurants within walking distance that the host recommended.

This was such a relaxing place to get away. It was easy to find following Jenika's directions. Very clean and had everything we needed. I hope to come back again someday.
A rustic wooden sign displays the phrase 'Friendliest Town Around' in bold green lettering. The sign is weathered and positioned among natural elements, including dry twigs and grass, reflecting the charming ambiance of the surrounding area.

Stacy’s house was peaceful and settled in a beautiful location. It really felt like a home. We have two young kids, and they loved being able to feed and pet the horses. We made s’mores by the fire pit. It was a lovely stay!

Wow. What a genuine slice of heaven, Weston has created to share. Secluded and serene, the views alone are worth it. I would love to stay here again, what a treat. Clean, cozy, perfect romantic atmosphere . For anyone like me who has a 2WD lil sedan like me, driving up to the yurt could be a lil sketchy but just drive slow and you’ll do fine!
