Ideally placed to explore Merseyside, Liverpool, Anthony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ at Crosby Beach, the Sefton coastal towns to Southport, Aintree racecourse, Knowsley Safari Park and Aughton, the Michelin Star capital of the North!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Our converted garage with everything in it you will need just to turn up with your clothes!! Only 6 minute walk to Birkdale village where there is lots of bars, restaurants and shops, or if you like commuting you can jump on the train to Southport which is only one stop away, Ainsdale and Formby if you want a lovely beach day or liverpool central is a 35 minute train ride. With lots of golf courses to choose from all within 5-20 minutes drive.

Formby is a picturesque town surrounded by beautiful countryside and a wonderful beach. Your family will be staying in a beautiful ground floor apartment right in the centre of town. It’s a 1 minute walk to amazing independent shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a swimming pool and play park within walking distance. There are nice woodland walks. There is a red squirrel nature reserve. You can have days out to Crosby, Southport, Liverpool, Manchester and Blackpool too.

A single storey self catering cottage will accommodate two people and is ideally suitable for guests with minor mobility issues. The lounge and the kitchen area are combined creating a cosy feeling. With a flat screen TV with smart Internet and DVD player, table & chairs and a comfy sofa to sink into. The bedroom with en suite bathroom, leads directly from the lounge and features a patio doors to access the patio with chairs and beautiful gardens.

Plenty of room inside and outside for family fun. Two double beds (one is single/double) in two separate bedrooms. Well provisioned kitchen for dining in. Secure garden . Space for two cars on the driveway. Formby or Southport are 20 minutes drive away. Aintree racecourse, Haydock racecourse, Liverpool city centre attractions are 45 minutes or less by car and an hour by bus / train. There are train stations at Formby, Southport and Maghull.

Newbridge Guest House

This guest house is in a rural location, within the grounds we have 2 fishing lakes which we run as a commercial fishery with farm land all around. There are chickens on site as well as a peacock and peahen. I must make you aware that we have a cockerel and he can be vocal early in the morning, the peacock too, this may not suit everyone. please be aware that there is no oven, but there is a hob, air fryer, microwave and toaster.
