Monthly Rentals in Grange

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Halfpenny cottage! Very spacious but still cozy. Situated in a self catering area, so felt very safe. And surrounded by the beautiful fells! All the utensils and amenities we needed were provided. Lewis was great at clearly communicating instructions so check in was very smooth and we felt we could reach out if there were any concerns. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a retreat in the Lakes!

We had a great stay, definitely helped by the weather. Bassenthwaite is a great location to explore lots of the northern and western lakes and tick off more wainwrights for us. We had a lovely meal at the village pub just around the corner and enjoyed sitting by the stream. The place is very homely and has a very well equipped kitchen to self cater. Field House Lodge is such a lovely place to stay and I would recommend to anyone looking for a walking holiday with lots of walks nearby and straight from the front door. It is in a really beautiful, peaceful location, with an easy walking distance to Derwent water and lots to do nearby including walks from Rosthwaite into the valleys, the Bowder stone, Catbells and Lodore falls. Hazel had made our holiday super special as Field house lodge was immaculately clean and equipped with everything we needed for the week, even down to a little personalised welcome hamper with some tea, coffee, beer, biscuits etc. I really loved watching the birds on the feeder by the kitchen window and the lambs in the field just outside, and the whole place has a really quiet, relaxed feel to it. We will absolutely be back in the future! Thank you for a lovely holiday 😊

I truly wish we never had to leave. The Catbells hike is right at your doorstep, along with sheep as far as the eye can see. Our favorite activity was just sitting on the porch enjoying the peaceful valley views. There are some pretty typical winding roads to get up to the place so just be careful on your drive up and down! We will recommend Shannon’s place to anyone we know visiting Keswick :) thanks again!!!
