Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Government of Amsterdam

We had a wonderful time at Anthony’s apartment. The location is fantastic - very walkable to many attractions and restaurants but on a peaceful and quiet street. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was nice and dark - great for jet lag. We didn’t make use of the kitchen or outdoor space, but that was nice as well. Anthony and Zino were very responsive and gave lots of good suggestions for local restaurants and cafes. We would absolutely stay here again.

We were traveling by bicycle and used Ben and Inge's accommodation for 3 nights. On the one hand, the proximity of Amsterdam (with a bus stop nearby and the train from Weesp... totally easy!) and the really beautiful small towns of Weesp, Muiden and Naarden. Inge brought us an incredibly great breakfast every morning on request. She is a great, very friendly host. Thank you so much for this great start to the day. We felt very comfortable with Ben and Inge and appreciated their hospitality very much. The small independent apartment is very quiet, very clean and cozy (as in the photos). Actually a real insider tip, ....psst, but don't tell anyone :-) Thank you, Inge and Ben for the great time! Thomas & Astrid

Monica’s place is a fantastic location. It is in a quiet area but so close to the city action. It was very clean and had comfortable beds. They were very accommodating to our early arrival and said it was no problem to store our bags several hours prior to check in. Highly recommend and would stay there again.

We had a lovely 3 days weekend in the tiny house. It is so cosy, so quiet , so … everything ! A real nest. Nothing is missing to have a great moment. It is very well situated and the bikes and parking space are an appreciated plus. Lida and Remko are really fantastic hosts. It has been a real pleasure to meet and spend time with them. If we could rate more we would for sure , but only 5 stars then Do not hesitate to book , you won’t regret We highly recommend the tiny house

After a pleasant communication with Maartje, we were warmly welcomed by Ernest. The cottage is very lovingly and comfortably furnished and has a nice little garden. If necessary, two bicycles are available. You feel right at home, it has everything you need. The location is within walking distance to the center of Muiden, where there are nice cafes and restaurants. To Amsterdam, you need 10 minutes by car to Weesp and then 18 minutes by train to the central train station. Overall, we felt very comfortable and would love to come back any time. Beautiful clean apartment in the countryside only 20/30 minutes outside of the main city transport was easy to find and figure out it was super peaceful and relaxing you have everything you need in the apartment and if not there’s a small town with a couple of shops and restaurants down the road. Ester was super accommodating to us arriving and leaving before and after check out giving us a place to leave our luggage definitely would come back it was a great experience.

Very cute house in peaceful and green area. I really enjoyed my time there. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed and host is literally next door in case you need something. I really appreciate the folder where Daisy explained local shops restaurants and public transport. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Fantastic apartment, really clean and comfortable in a great neighbourhood: peaceful but walking distance to everything you could need. Loes and Fokke are wonderful hosts, warm and helpful- we had a brilliant few days exploring the city from the perfect base.

Absolutely loved our stay in Amsterdam! The location couldn’t have been better — we walked everywhere and only needed a taxi to/from the airport. The communication and hosts were fantastic — super responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout. The recommendations were spot on and made the whole trip even more memorable. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. We’ll 100% be back — highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Sharine and Keon’s place! The house was spotless, cozy, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. It’s located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood, with easy access to everything Amsterdam has to offer. Sharine and Keon were fantastic hosts—very responsive, thoughtful, and welcoming. Their home had a warm, personal touch that made us feel comfortable and at home right away. It was the perfect space for our family, and our little one especially enjoyed it. We loved our stay in this character-filled historic house. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and felt private, even though it’s a shared building. The location is excellent and we savored the view of the canal from the big windows. The bed and linens are comfy, crisp and clean, and there were plenty of towels. We even enjoyed hearing a bit of Evert and his students’ violin-playing. (Seriously, I don’t really like violins but the playing was expert and lovely.) Memorable stay!!

After 8:00 am and 8:00 pm Slight noise, soundproofing doesn't seem to be very good But it's still within acceptable limits The bathroom is a little too small for boys Access is very good The host is kind Cookware and seasoning are very complete

This apartment was amazing for our quick trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect—right on one of the main canals and walkable to everything. Helena was such a gracious host and gave us some great recs for vintage shopping, drinks, and eats. The space was well appointed and she was so flexible with our arrival and departure times. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay here again on a future visit.

My first visit with my daughter to Amsterdam. We had several activities planned and our location was perfect: Access to tram. Very walkable area. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery markets. The suite was comfortable and large enough for two people. We enjoyed ourselves and no worries regarding the accommodations.

The Condominium is in a nice quiet part of Amsterdam, but still easy to get to city centre. Was very clean and comfortable.

We had a great stay! Hugo was easy to contact, gave us many local recommendations, and easy to follow directions. The place was clean, had a great view, and is on a quiet street. Location was great, very walkable to all of the main tourist attractions. We were worried about not having a tv but didn’t miss it. Just a heads up to people in the U.S.-bring wash cloths to Europe. All 3 of the Airbnb’s that we stayed at did not provide them. I read that they consider it a personal item, like a toothbrush, and expect you to bring your own. Thank you Hugo!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

Morningstar is a beautiful place to stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location could not be better. It is right across the canal from The Ann Frank house. There are many wonderful cafes and restaurants nearby. The hosts have thought of everything. I would highly recommend to anyone!
