Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Government Camp

We stay at this property once a year. The property and location are both amazing, but the responsiveness and consideration of the host is what keeps us coming back year after year. If you do manage to find a comparable property I can guarantee you will not find comparable hosts. They're amazing!

We stayed here with our family for our wedding weekend and it was fabulous. The backyard is incredible, the greenery was all in bloom during our stay. I loved the skylights. The pool table was fun for bonding. They had things we needed like sugar which was so helpful. Would definitely come back again. The road to get there has mega potholes. That’s out of their control though. :)

We had the most incredible stay at this Mt. Hood cabin! The location is unbeatable—steps from hiking trails and just a short drive to Trillium Lake, with nature truly right at your doorstep. We spent our days exploring the outdoors and our evenings gathered around the bonfire under the stars. The cabin itself is cozy, welcoming, and perfectly set up for a family getaway. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, making it easy to cook big meals together. We spent hours working on a puzzle as a family, and mornings on the outdoor patio with coffee were peaceful and serene. The sauna and spa area were next-level—like having a private wellness retreat all to ourselves. Our dogs also had the best time roaming and playing in the outdoor space. This place was everything we hoped for and more. We can’t wait to come back!

Mark’s mountain cabin was perfect! Beautiful wooded location in a quiet neighborhood, with amazing proximity to a thousand trails. It was absolutely perfect for our long weekend getaway. Loved the kitchen and deck - we hit the Hoodland Farmers Market and grilled/cooked every night we stayed. Heated floors in the bathroom were a nice touch! Super cute, clean, and comfortable overall, and very dog friendly! We do not have dogs, but 10/10 recommend this spot for anyone who does. Really thoughtful touches everywhere, for both people and pets. We had a mishap that was sheer bad luck during our trip, and Mark was incredibly helpful and responsive. I would recommend him as a host just as much as his cabin. We will definitely be on the lookout for this gem the next time we want to escape to the Mt Hood wilderness!

Great place to stay if you’re planning on a trip to Mt. Hood and the surrounding area!Dean was a terrific host, kind and responsive. The home is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The location is better than anticipated as it’s a very short drive to local dining and shops. Would recommend to friends and family and will be returning ourselves in the future! If you’re looking for a spot to stay in this area.. this is the place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars

This house was exactly what I was hoping to find. It's def in a neighborhood but once you get to the house it feels super private. It's very close to some amazing hiking as well. I didn't get to take full advantage of that, but I got a couple great hikes in. The hot tub was exactly what I needed. I would def stay again. Thanks!

I can’t even describe the beauty of this place. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was everything we needed. The windows slide and have screens so it’s perfect. The beds were comfortable, It was clean, and the house was equipped with everything we needed. We had a blast playing the Nintendo, grilling dinner on the porch, and playing in the yard. It was far enough out to be peaceful but convenient to everything we wanted to do like Multnomah Falls. I also have to mention something that probably doesn’t matter to everyone but most places you stay give you scratchy small towels. Not this place. They are equipped with plush bath sheets. It’s those details that put this place at the top of my list! We did not want to leave!!! Thank you for an excellent stay!

Sebastian's place was perfect for our 3 generation weekend together at Government Camp. The house is fun! And beautiful. And lots of touches that "get noticed" as one spends time in the home. The kitchen is well-stocked, there is a lot of communal seating available (both in the living room and at the dining room table, as well as on the balcony), and there is lots of space to enjoy. Our granddaughters were "wowed" by their private lair in the bunkbed room, which turned out to have their own couch and together space with an entertainment center. The beds are super comfortable and the towels plentiful. Communication is great and the owners are super accommodating. It made for a perfect vacation weekend! Happy to return whenever we head to the area again.

This was a great spot for spring skiing at timberline. It’s <5 minutes from summit pass parking and about 20 min from the lodge. It was a comfortable spot to rest and cook after a day of activity. One really nice feature I was pleasantly surprised at was the river/forest area in the back, which provided a peaceful soundtrack while on the deck and while falling asleep. I’d stay again - thanks Nat and Nadja!

We absolutely love staying at The Foxglove! Aaron is a wonderful host, the house is full of great items to make you feel right at home. The kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to cook at home, and the layout is great for us! We both work remotely and are able to set up offices, as well as have a space for relaxing and enjoying a good movie, or cozy up with a book. We are repeat vacationers to the area and always try to stay at Aaron's home if it is available. Thank you for another great stay!

Great house, great location and sparkling clean! At first, we were thinking that there is nowhere to walk our dog. We like very long walks at least three times a day. Next day we found the pass to the other part of the neighborhood with unlimited amount of trails along the river and in the forest. It is just couple minutes away from the house. Our favorite forest entrance is the one dedicated to Ladybug dog. It is a very nice pass to the river. The living room has big enough table for the board games nights. I see that some people complain about the mattress. It is memory foam one. You either like this type or you don’t in general. It worked perfectly for me, though my husband complained it is too soft for him. Kids really liked upstairs beds. The house also equipped with everything for the dogs. We didn’t need it as we bring everything for our pup as we travel a lot and many houses don’t have dog items. You will find: bowls, towels, poop bags, etc. Thank you for having us!

Steal of a deal 👌🏽 Extremely reasonably priced! Right on a golf course, peaceful and friendly vibe around the property. No fancy bells or whistles in the unity, but a very homey space that had many thoughtful touches. Mike and Betsy were beyond accommodating and responded quickly to my messages. We would 100% stay here again!

Very cozy. Fit our family of seven very well. Great location and we had a great time visiting the local sites.

My fiancé and I came to visit for my birthday and I couldn’t speak more highly of the quality of our stay. Donna was very quick at responding whenever we had any questions which we appreciated. The space was also very clean. No dust lol. We enjoyed the short hike down the river just right outside the house. It made for a beautiful morning coffee walk. We thought the aesthetic of Donna’s home was very cozy and comforting while offering more than enough space for everyone. And if you can’t get to the grocery store, there are a few close restaurants near by making it pretty convenient to get some dinner after a long day of hiking and sightseeing.. Just make sure to get there before 8:00 pm. We hope to stay here again the next time we come to visit Oregon!

WOW!!! I normally do not write reviews. Places rented are usually received as advertised. But this place….AMAZING!!! This rental is immaculate. Very clean and tidy. There is not an item that does not have a place. No clutter. High end everything. It’s like stepping into a magazine. The attention to detail Cat and Wes have given this home shines through and through. Although this is a rental, they have created a very cozy, inviting atmosphere with a fire place and lots of blankets/throws and pillows through out the house. The welcome basket at check in was most gracious. Beds are firm with high end sheets. Multiple pillow types available to choose from. The two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower, while the master downstairs has a bath/shower. Hot tub is a few steps right outside your back door. There are hiking trails in the neighborhood that lead to Sandy River. There really was not anything we needed they did not already have. Do not hesitate to stay here.

This is a cabin with extras! The pizza oven is the biggest standout, and it was supported by a truly well equipped kitchen. The appliances are high quality and like- new. Even the dishwasher is quiet. The bathroom of also deluxe. The heated floors were perfect on cold mornings. The deck has a great view for a morning coffee or soak in the hot tub. John is a great host- he's communicative and quick to respond. I can't wait to visit again.

We had a great stay at Sarah’s place! The hot tub and hammock were perfect for relaxing, and my family loved the games and roasting marshmallows. It was peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Sarah responded quickly to a small concern, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend!

This is our fourth stay at the cabin and we loved it. Our kids and dogs spent a lot of time in the spacious yard. We went trout fishing at the rainbow trout farm 15 min away and grilled them on the outdoor grill and ate at the picnic table. It was the perfect spot for our family. We play on coming back

Wonderful get-away for extended family. Enough space for multiple generations to spread out comfortably at night, killer hikes in the area, and so much fun having s’mores at our fire at night! Thanks for the wonderful memories!

We had a great stay here. Everything was just as described. It's very private and perfect for a medium sized group. The layout was perfect for group activities in multiple spaces. Kyla was great to communicate with. We would absolutely stay here again
