great place and I loved being able to bring our dogs. they loved the gated yard to run around in while we chilled in the hot tub. we'd love to visit sometime in the summer to check out more of the lake activities.

This was our second visit to Amanda’s and just like the first time, it left my boys with fun memories. We will be back next summer.

This was my second time staying at this lakehouse, and it was just as great as I remembered. I absolutely love the peaceful surrounding area—it's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. The hosts were very responsive and helpful, answering any questions I had right away. Everything in the listing was exactly as described, and the check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. I’m already looking forward to coming back again!

Great place for a large group of people! Although it is surrounded by other homes, the trees behind the property give it a very private feel. It is a quick walk to the beach which is very convenient. All of the neighbors were very kind to our group as we walked around. We tried out the New Mexican restaurant down the street and it was delicious. This was one of Sylwia’s recommendations. She did a great job of giving us a list of things to do around the area before we arrived. There’s 2 train stations very close, which we utilized to get to Chicago. It was about an hour trip and very convenient to get the Portage/Ogden Dunes Station from the Airbnb. We were a little worried about the location considering Gary does not have the best reputation, but it was closer to Portage, and in a very safe area. We never once felt unsafe. All in all, Sylwia was great, the Airbnb was great, and I would recommend her listing!!

The place was beautiful. The house is a bit old but we didn’t mind it, it made it feel homey in a way. My friends and I loved the hot tub, would love to come back again.

Love the rustic feel of the place, easily accessible amenities. Small and intimate, but also enough room for a couple.

This is a small cabin, but well laid out. Be aware that there is a short walk from the busy parking lot, but not over far and it’s an easy path. The cabin is clean, quiet and right on the water. We brought two dogs and they loved the place. There is a water bowl in a cabinet by the door. Nothing to beat it in the area, and Jennifer was nothing but helpful. Would stay again.

We had an amazing time at this cottage! From the start, the hosts were excellent communicators and all the instructions were clear. When we got there, everything was clean and as described/seen in pictures. The area was beautiful and we absolutely love the scenery and how much we could do at the cottage. By far, the BEST Airbnb we’ve been to- and we’ve been to several. Thanks for having us! We would love to come back.

Stayed 3 nights to visit family in area. Cute, cozy, and, quiet area that fit our needs perfectly. Everything you need in house for a longer stay and, everything was really clean upon entering house! Beds were comfortable too! The backyard was great for our german shep to play ball, which it's so hard to do when staying in a hotel. Jess was very responsive, super friendly and a pleasure to deal with! Convenient location and walkable to downtown and the shops! Would definitely stay again! :)

This place is a great getaway. If your looking for a place in Miller Beach area and want to see copious amounts of varying wildlife just hanging around then this spot is just what your looking for. The host Blake is very responsive and respectful. I stayed for over a week with my dog and he didn’t want to leave. You won’t either.

Our stay was stress free even despite having a water issue. Kurt was responsive and proactive and it was fixed right away. We appreciated how the situation was handled and plan to stay here in the future.

This location is a great stay outside of the city. It has beautiful views of the river including plenty of wildlife. The host is very considerate in providing a LOT of firewood, bottled water, blankets, and towels for guests (we did not take advantage of the tackle). The home does have a very strong smell (patchouli or lavender maybe) which I don’t particularly care for but grew used to after some time. The shower was a bit funky to use and didn’t get especially hot. Host also says there is a full kitchen (I believe in the description somewhere) but there is no oven so we had gotten a take&bake pizza prior to our arrival which we couldn’t bake 😅. A problem easily solved but it would be good to add a complete list of appliances for future reference. Bridget is very kind and responsive, we had no issues.

We had a great stay in Twin Lakes near Mary Lake. The home was very clean and the area was quiet. The beds linens and pillows were very comfortable. We had enough room for 7. Two baths and laundry worked out great. There was a nice patio and fire pit to use. It was walkable to the small town of Twin Lakes. Although we did not visit the local establishments this time. We had friends to visit in Lindenhurst which was an easy 30 minute drive into IL We would recommend this location for anyone visiting southern WI and northern IL. Supplies were minimal but sufficient for making meals at the house. There was a gas grill available as well. We hope to visit again sometime.

I had a fantasic stay at this Airbnb! The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making our visit smooth from start to finish. We also loved and appreciated the attention to detail of having all the essentials for a perfect stay. The location was great and close to where we wanted to go, but still quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay!

Would highly recommend staying here! The place is incredible with beautiful views of the river! We had a wonderful weekend getaway at their river house. It was quiet and had everything we needed with downtown Yorkville minutes away. No complaints about anything! Would suggest this spot to anyone who needs a place to stay whether they are in town visiting or just want a place to escape for a weekend it serves many purposes!

My wife and I have been active on Airbnb for several years and we've experienced quite a few wonderful rentals; however, Susan's place stands out for several reasons. Her rental was exquisitely clean, very comfortable, and filled with little touches that made it feel like home. One not so little "touch" was the brand new massage chair in the living room - what a wonderful surprise! We loved luxuriating in that chair after our visits to the Bristol Ren Faire.

Very great get away I’m a fisherman and caught some really big fish. Water was clean lots to do on the chain of lakes. Only 9 mins from McDonald’s and Walmart in case anyone needs last minute stuff. Chris and Shannon were very knowledgeable of the area. Great place for peace. Sunset is on bedroom window side. (Loved to see this as I was just getting up) neighbors were friendly. Love the fact we had water toys like paddle boat kayaks and paddle board for use even though I didn’t use them I was fishing my 3 days there. There’s a dock and water at dock is about 2’-3’. Would highly recommended them. Overall it was a great stay and will be coming back again. To all who is looking at this you will love this environment. I consider this place a happy place getaway. Caught cat fish, drum,bass,,walleye Maybe rent a boat and explore the chain of lakes next time. Thank you Shannon and Chris for the great experience

Beautiful waterfront property and cozy cottage. The house is minutes from the train station so you can plan a trip to the city without the traffic. The lake is full of pelicans, ducks and geese and I never tired of watching them. The driveway is an absolute adventure! We took turns riding in the back and front of our rental mini van so we could all experience the incline. You’ll be fine-just do it-it’s fun! The neighborhood and surrounding areas are beautiful and there’s plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. There is limited cabinet and refrigerator space so don’t over buy groceries like we did and there’s no ice. Bring trays or buy a bag if you need this. The fire pit was used and we got firewood at Home-depot along with s’mores sticks. The house is stocked with everything needed and we had an amazing time and made unforgettable memories and were comfortable and surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Josh is a great host, very responsive. The lakehouse is a cute weekend getaway. The sunsets are gorgeous and the house is cozy and heats up well (we stayed when it was chilly outside).
