In the heart of a historic village with boulangerie, cafe, restaurant and bar within a 5 minute walk. 6 large bedrooms, one a double, the others flexible as twins, single or doubles. 3 with en-suite. The private pool is heated to 28c throughout the season, with garden, huge terrace and BBQ. Central heating for Spring & Autumn. One of four places I have listed. This coquettish studio of 10m2, old transformed garage, is attached to the house, it is possible to leave bicycles safely. For a short break or a longer stay this charming little studio will delight you. In a peaceful village you will enjoy the calm and nature. A stone's throw away, a bakery, a grocery store, also 2 restaurants. Easy and free parking. Canal du Midi is 5 min away at Somail. Narbonne at 20 min and Béziers at 30. Supermarkets 5 min drive.

We really enjoyed our stay with Erick and Isabelle - they are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome, including organising a tasting of local Corbières wines, and a separate vinegar tasting. The house is beautiful, and very well equipped - for dinner, we could take our pick between bbqing outside on the terrace or cooking in the kitchen. For swimming, we were spoilt for choice, able to swim in the pool as well as in the river below the house. The countryside around the house is great for walks (and the nearby village is easily walkable), but it is quite remote, so a car is needed to get around, and to visit almost any of the nearby sights beyond the village. It was an amazing holiday, and having this great place to stay was a really important part of it!

An outdoor lounge area is featured, furnished with woven seating and a low table. A spiral staircase leads to the upper level. Lush greenery and terraced landscaping provide a serene backdrop, with natural light illuminating the space from various angles.

This house is amazing-masses of space and comfortable and really well-equipped, with a beautiful pool and garden area. Francis is a responsive host and the instructions given were clear and easy to follow. The area is lovely, with loads of interesting things to do. We’ll definitely be back!

Martine's accommodation is located in the heart of Le Somail, a stone's throw from the Canal du Midi. It has been renovated to perfection and offers upscale amenities, especially the 6 bedrooms with their 6 bathrooms and independent toilets. The bedding and linens are of very good quality. The living rooms, kitchen, dining room and living room are perfectly equipped and sized for 12 people. Note that all rooms in the house are air-conditioned. We also enjoyed the terrace and pool with stunning views of the vineyards. Martine is friendly, available and always attentive to us. In summary, for us, a great stay rated 5/5 *****

A well-organized corridor features built-in shelving on both sides, with ample space for storage. Natural light enters the area through the far end, enhancing the clean lines and modern design of the shelves and cabinetry.
