Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Garðabær

Stayed here with my family of four. Place is perfect. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped. Felt safe and beautiful location. Were able to see the northern lights in a clear evening.

Asta was so helpful with local recommendations, and her house was clean welcoming. We had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The sauna and hot tub were great for relaxing. The location was perfectly central for exploring the Reykjavik peninsula.

This AirBnB was perfect for our family of 6! We all had our own bedrooms (2 couples, 2 singles) and enough common area to spread out, if we wanted. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and Inga even left a welcome basket of snacks and breakfast items! The place also has a washer & dryer, which we used after swimming, twice! The heated floors were a God-send during the December cold. We had an electrical issue and they promptly got an electrician out to fix it. Worked perfectly after that! The location is at the end of a street in a quiet neighborhood. There is a walking trail close by but we never used it because we visited in December and it was too cold for us. Other amenities are available at the house, like a hot tub and outdoor living area, but we did not use those because of the cold weather. They look like a wonderful addition for a warmer-weather visit. I highly recommend this location and the wonderful hosts!!

My husband, my daughter and me visited Iceland in April. We had a great time and felt very comfortable in Erna's house. She and her family gave us a warm welcome and were always available for questions. The house is nice and cozy and equipped with everything you could wish for. It is only a few minutes from Reykjavik and the location is perfect for exploring the south coast (by car). We can highly recommend it!

Beautiful home to stay in if you're visiting Iceland! The house is in a really quiet location with stunning mountain views, but still super well connected to Reykjavik. Overall, the location is brilliant for exploring different parts of the country. The house itself feels so homey and the hot tub overlooking the mountains was definitely an extra highlight! 😄 Lonnie was super responsive and friendly in all her messages, so if you're looking for a home away from home in Iceland, I can definitely recommend this one! ✨️

La maison etait vraiment très confortable et agréable, nous avons pu relaxer en famille tout en visitant la région de Reykjavik. C'etait très facile d'accès et on y etait rapidement du centre ville. La vue etait belle et il y avait tout ce qu'il fallait pour se sentir chez soi.

bella casa, ben arredata e con mobili nuovi. bagni moderni e puliti. adatta a gruppi di amici come noi, perfetti e piacevoli gli spazi comuni. a 15 minuti dal centro e a pochi minuti dal supermercato. siamo stati i molto bene

I recommend Björg's flat in Reykjavik. It has everything you need for cooking; at least three supermarkets are really close by. Everything in Reykjavik is reachable in under an hour by foot. This is a perfect origin for your explorations and also a perfect destination for relaxing after a longer trip. I would definitely choose the accommodation again.

Wir haben uns in dieser wunderbaren Wohnung sofort rundum wohlgefühlt – fast wie in unserem eigenen Zuhause. Die Kommunikation mit Gudrun und Björgvin war außergewöhnlich freundlich, schnell und unkompliziert, und sie haben uns persönlich empfangen, was den Aufenthalt noch herzlicher machte. Die Wohnung war liebevoll und festlich weihnachtlich dekoriert, was uns sofort in eine warme, einladende Atmosphäre versetzte. Es fehlte wirklich an nichts – von der Ausstattung bis hin zur liebevollen Detailpflege war alles perfekt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die ruhige Lage, die es uns ermöglichte, jede Nacht wunderbar zu schlafen. Zudem waren die kostenlosen Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür ein großer Pluspunkt, der den Aufenthalt noch komfortabler machte. Wir können diese Wohnung und die herzlichen Gastgeber uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen.

Great apartment with lots of space for kids to play, we enjoyed the stay

We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans le logement. Il était fonctionnel et bien équipé malgré un petit manque de vaisselle (par exemple, seulement 2 assiettes creuses alors que le logement est proposé pour plus de 2 personnes). La terrasse était très agréable même si nous n'avons pas eu le temps adapté pour en profiter. Le centre ville est facilement accessible à pied et il est également facile de se rendre à Reykjavík.

L'alloggio offertoci da Birkir ha veramente superato le nostre aspettative. Il check-in è stato di facile effettuazione. Abbiamo trovato la casa in uno stato di pulizia assoluto, veramente profumata e dotata di tutto quel di cui si potrebbe avere bisogno, dall'asciugacapelli, ai detersivi, dalla "bagnarola" ai plaid. L'alloggio è veramente spazioso ed ha vari servizi ulteriori come televisore e una console da gioco, così come un barbecue. Si dispone oltretutto di un posto auto riservato davanti la struttura stessa. Unica nota neutra è l'assenza di un'ascensore, ma le scale sono abbastanza larghe e non troppo alte da salire, anche con valige di taglia L. Il quartiere è fornito dei negozi essenziali, come ad esempio un Bonus a pochi minuti a piedi ed una fermata dell'autobus precisamente davanti la casa, senza poi parlare del fatto che si trova a soli 15 minuti dal centro di Reykjavik.

Apartamento muy amplio y cómodo. Baño enorme. Cocina bien y muchos utensilios de cocina. Limpieza regular, necesita algo de limpieza en profundidad.

Loved our stay there. Spent about a week and had everything we needed. We try to pack light and made great use of the washing machine and massive drying rack (I took a pic because I want one at home) we got a bit confused finding the place but Arnar was there greet us and came down to the street and turned we were right in front of it. Tons of space and peaceful but also right near main part of town. We walked whenever we did things in town. Also very responsive. I asked questions before during and after our trip and he was always very available. Highly recommend this place for any group.

Very attractive and comfortable cabin in a beautiful area which feels entirely private despite being only an hour from Reykjavik. Great base for hiking or sightseeing. We had five days here and felt we only scratched the surface of what the area has to offer. Cabin is very well and thoughtfully equipped. Matthias was a great host and offered fantastic recommendations of things to do and see. No hesitation at all in recommending.

Wir hatten eine so schöne Zeit in Haukurs Unterkunft. Die Hütte ist mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht, sehr gemütlich und traumhaft ruhig gelegen mitten in der Natur. Der Blick auf den See, der Kamin und der Hot Tub waren unser Highlight. Perfekt um so richtig zu entspannen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Séjour parfait ! Localisation incroyable. Très calme avec une vue des plus magnifiques. Pas grand chose aux alentours mais en voiture ça se fait très vite. Merci !

We had such a great time, the cabin exceeded expectations in every way! Lilja was very responsive and helpful for any questions we had. The most beautiful surroundings and so peaceful! We enjoyed the hot tub, dart board and pool table. We even got to see the auroras on 2 separate nights which was a real highlight! The kitchen is small with a small over, this didn’t matter for us but could be useful to know if you were not planning to go out much. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this cabin!!

The location is beautiful! Very private, modern, clean, and excellently maintained house with incredible views. The host was very helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful cabin in a peaceful yet convenient location on the Golden Circle. Maja was caring and responsive, the house was spotless clean and cosy, and there are possibilities for hikes nearby. You can't get more Icelandic experience than this!

We had an amazing stay at Zilvina's. The location is even more beautiful than in the photos. The house is at the end of a lane and has great privacy and no other houses in view from inside, some in the distance from the garden. The view over the snowy hills in early March was incredible, and we watched the most impressive northern lights we have ever seen right on the doorstep. The morning light was glorious and it is worth planning a slow breakfast at the cabin. It was difficult getting the fire to restart at night once it had cooled down, and the sofa bed and pillows were uncomfortable, but overall it was very atmospheric staying in a wood-heated, solar-powered cabin and we loved our stay.
