Lawrence and his wife bought us fresh cinnamon buns on Saturday morning as a treat! Was a great surprise! Sorry we didn’t get to enjoy his famous fries! One of the funniest individuals my three brothers and I have had the pleasure of conversing with! He s a comedian at heart and offers a great slice of heaven to enjoy on a beautiful property and accommodations! Lots of cool places to hang out and relax on the property! We will be making a return visit for sure!

The Nomad- Woodland bunkie with Sauna

YukikoRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We reserved the Hideaway and Nomad Cabins for 3 nights, and had a wonderfly tranquil experience. The kayak launch is a couple minutes drive away, and there are various hiking trails on the property to explore. A huge highlight of our stay was the outdoor showers! But if people feel more comfortable, there is a indoor shower in the public restroom. Additionally, the view of the stars without light pollution was absolutely amazing. Hosts were always accomodating, kind, and very quick to respond to respond to all inquiries.

Magical Private Island - Kingston, Ontario

NancyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Our family of 4 loved staying on the island! It was definitely rustic living, but the cabin had everything necessary to cook, sleep, and enjoy the island comfortably. The scenery was beautiful and we spent much of our time in, near, or on the water. Donna provided a canoe and we brought our own inflatable paddle board. Both were in use often during our stay. The upstairs of the house would get warm on hot days, but cooled down significantly at night. The beds were comfortable and we had some excellent nights of sleep during our stay. Our dog vacationed with us and she was so happy to run free and wade in the water all day, every day. Donna was an excellent host. She was always available to answer questions. She communicated with us consistently and was flexible when we arrived later than expected. Staying by ourselves on an island was a very cool experience and we will fondly remember this unique and special place for years to come! Thank you Donna!

My few days in the Dollhouse and on the property was absolutely beautiful! Nature is right at the door with tranquility and a calm atmosphere which is amazing. A magical place that I'd definitely return to... The horses are wonderful as well the ponds that are serene to sit by. Loved the foggy look in the mornings with the horses and also deer in the meadow. Carefree environment with amazing hosts🙂 The Dollhouse was a cozy and relaxing stay!

Overall, one of the best airbnb's ive stayed at thus far. Rene is it an extremely good airbnb host. The cedar bunkie is beautiful....the mornings at the lake side...seeing the sunset from thr windows or from the outdoor fire pit. Overall beautiful. Great fishing for first timers (caught northern pike and small mouth bass just near the dock). He had great little goodies at arrival and departure. He does alot as host compared to others.

Windy Island Homestead Cabin

EmilyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
I can’t say enough about Virginia and her amazing retreat. We were looking for a simple halfway stop on our way home from seeing family in the US and found this amazing space run by wonderful people. It was a treasure and we will be back. This beautiful family is forging a new way of living and travel that is sustainable and gives me hope. She is a great host if you have children and are interested in forest school and learning about local history and geography. My son was free to run and hear nothing but nature sounds and then we took the ferry everyday into Kingston to explore Canadian history and culture and eat amazing food. We went to the Wolfe Island hotel to eat local wonderful food and visited the stunning isolated beach every night at sunset. Wolfe Island is a place like no other. I had such a great connection with the host and her commitment to the earth and the future. Thank you Virginia!

Lakefront Tiny Cabin | Outdoor Shower | Kayaking

OguzhanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a great escape from the city! The place was great but what was greater was Monica! She was extremely responsive, friendly and thoughtful. She made sure that we felt home every step of the way. She even put up a happy birthday banner for us since we were there to celebrate a birthday. When it got colder one of the days, she was proactive and asked if we needed an extra blanket before I requested it. Highly recommended!

Everything you could need was provided and the hosts were very helpful in answering my questions. we showed up with clothes, food and firewood and had a wonderful 5 day long stay. we enjoy kayaking and the lake was perfect for that and there were lots of local hiking trails. cooking meals was a snap with everything provided and the cottage was more than spacious enough for the three of us. I would recommend to anyone looking to get away to the lake.

Lakeside Bunkie on Private Wildlife Reserve

MaggieRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a wonderful time at the Bunkie. Julie, Patrick, and Max are lovely and warm hosts who are passionate about protecting the Mother Nature and wildlife. We loved the stories about how they built their connections with the wildlife there. The Bunkie is cozy and the perfect size for couples or small families. The kitchen has all the essential items, and the washroom is super clean with a 180-degree view of the private lake. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, and hiking on the private trail, and the view of the fall colors from Kinder Camp is truly stunning. My 9-year-old son had an amazing time with Max! Thank you, Julie, Patrick, and Max, for sharing such a lovely place; we will be back in the summer.

Tiny Cabin in the Woods w/ Stargazing & StarLink

KellyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed for a quick weekend getaway to get some R&R. Joe's place was just what we needed. Everything we needed and nothing we didn't. The cabin is tiny, as advertised, but we travel light so it was no problem for us. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy, and Sharbot Lake is a quick 10 min down the highway. The outdoor shower at the site is THE BEST - nature at your back and hot water on demand. The composting toilet was a little daunting at first, but Joe provides super clear instructions and it turned out to be the best campsite bathroom of all time. We'll be going back next time we need a break from traffic and skyscrapers.

LiL CroW CabiN HydroSpa/Sauna/Gazebo

AaraniRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Phenomenal in every way! I can't even explain how good of a time my family and I had here! From the very beginning, KimberLee and David were extremely responsive! They answered all of my questions and gave me tons of useful information that made us feel very ready for our stay. The only thing we weren't ready for, was how beautiful it was! The pictures online already sealed the deal for us, but the actual setting with the peaceful atmosphere was beyond anything I expected. David and KimberLee did a fantastic job of stocking the Rec Barn with so many activities for guests of all ages. We never had a dull moment! We only had one question about how to use an amenity and within 2 minutes, the hosts were there to help us out. The sauna, outdoor room, and hot tub were a fantastic combination of activities to add to this cabin! They're also filled with art, which we loved! PS: Water is beautiful, just bring water shoes! 1000/10 will go back and I would recommend this to everyone!

Sunset Cottage

GregRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Here's a condensed version under 1000 characters: "We've rented many cottages, and this one is by far the cleanest. The waterfront is beautiful, with a well-kept fire pit and a peaceful lake that felt private during the week. The cottage was thoughtfully stocked with everything from soap and coffee to all the necessary appliances. The internet was fast, and the heat pump kept us warm on cooler nights. We kayaked and canoed around the lake several times, enjoying the wildlife—turtles, herons, ducks, loons, and frogs. The fire pit was perfectly placed for sunset views, with plenty of kindling and wood. The BBQ worked great, and Verona offered everything we needed, including good food at Muddy Waters Restaurant and treats at a local bakery and Kawartha ice cream shop. The fall colors were stunning throughout our stay. Highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful, well-equipped getaway!"

Care-free Glamping - intimate cabin in the forest

MarionRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Choleena & Larry were sweet and welcoming as always. Beautiful place to stay if you wanna see stars and hear birds. They also worked with our schedule and were very responsive! Can’t wait for the next time I get to stay in this beautiful place. There were a lot of bugs this time than the last time I went in the summer so if you’re going in the fall, I would advise you to maybe take some bug spray :) but nothing to complain about since that was out of their control and a perk of been out in the wild!
