Just a quick mile (3 minutes) to the interstate makes this place close enough to be convenient and far enough to be quiet. Or, instead of hopping on the interstate, just continue on into the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids for business or pleasure. Luxurious 12 inch memory foam mattresses on each bed for exceptional rest. When you're awake, there's a Keurig and high speed internet (100 Mb).

Just one block from NewBo Market in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood, this sparkling clean, cozy and eclectic space is the upper apartment of an 1890s era home listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Once slated for demolition, the Heart House was fully restored (in a way that charms everyone) to include a first floor shop and a second floor apartment. It was wonderful little getaway in a wooded area right on the river. There was absolutely no shortage of wildlife, deer, geese, chipmunks, rabbits and lots of others all made regular appearances. One of my favorite activities was just sitting quietly as wildlife did its thing around me. It was very peaceful and would recommend if you need a quiet tranquil retreat with plenty of privacy.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Honestly, I feel like it’s even more beautiful than in the pictures. There are so many incredible details in the architecture that I was just blown away in about every room. The space was great and Ellen was a phenomenal host. Couldn’t have had a better experience!!

The beautiful sunsets are worth the stay alone! The place was so peaceful and was great for our dogs. Dan provided clear instructions and was very responsive. We had a minor drain issue, but he was quick to respond and more than willing to come fix it.

Sarah’s place was great. I loved the Bohemian themed loft! She included a free yoga class just a short walk away. What a treat! I was concerned about the city location but I parked in the back in front of the mural and at night there was no one around.
