Gorgeous little house with cap cod feel, right on the water. We call this baby "Water's Edge on Tainter Lake". Perfect way for a quick escape from the Twin cities, only 50 minutes away. Fish off the permanent dock on the water. Beautiful views and sunsets on a fun, active recreational lake. Short boat ride to Jake's super club. A beautiful private location that felt so peaceful nestled around the bluffs. The fenced in yard was really convenient for the three dogs we brought among the family. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and we were able to try out several recipes from a gifted cookbook. The house has some old bones but there were plenty of updates to make someone feel comfortable, and the AC was appreciated for our 100 degree weekend. The host Alex was responsive with any questions. I would be more than happy to stay at this location again if I were in the area.

It really worked well for us to use this cottage as a home base for exploring this beautiful area! Would suggest letting people know that many businesses are closed M-W - we love the Stockholm Pie and General Store which was open and excellent :)
