Family-friendly vacation rentals in Elk Rapids

Ive rented alot of air bnbs over the years. So far? This has been the best experience ive had. The house was amazing. Super clean. Comfortable beds. Super well stocked with amenities that most places dont provide. Jennifer is super easy to communicate with and get ahold of. We will be back next year:)

Such a nice quiet spot! The area had multiple campers and spaces rented out but it felt like we were alone, that’s how well it was spaced out and set up. Kid friendly and very easy to relax. Will definitely be back!

I stayed at Melissa's place with a group of 4 other girls for my sister's bachelorette party. Not only was the space perfect sized for our group, but the girls and I could not get over how amazing the property was. We obsessed over the view from the kitchen window, the decor and gingham curtains in the living room, and the loft bedroom. Everything was so well done and thought through and we spent a majority of our time during the weekend hanging out at the house, having dinner on the front porch, and admiring the baby pigs!! And when we did venture into Sutton's Bay or Traverse City, the ride was smooth and had beautiful scenery of up north Michigan. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked and the linens were definitely adequate for all of us to sleep comfortably. I will definitely be booking here again!

Over the top amazing place to stay. Beautiful, comfortable and adorable! Seth and Kelsey were outstanding hosts and my husband and I were so impressed, these two should give lessons on how to be the perfect hosts!!! The food was amazing and they also slipped in a little birthday surprise for me. The property was so well maintained and the hot tub and fire pit were a welcome surprise and we enjoyed meeting other guests fixing s’mores!! I forgot to sign the guest book so will be back soon!!

Absolutely loved the location of this rental! It was like a 3 minute walk over to the yellow chair. So, so easy! The condo is also fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is decorated super cute, was clean and very accommodating. We would stay here again for another ski trip.

My husband and I love the Leelanau peninsula and try to go up once in the spring before the craziness and once in the fall each year. Tiffany’s place did not disappoint. The property its self was magical, private, and everything as described. The location was 5 stars for what we enjoy - Leland, Suttons Bay, Northport, Glen Arbor and all in between! Would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location and exactly what we needed. Very quiet. Grounds were beautiful. My only question going in was if the brew pub in the same building would be a distraction but definitely was not. Actually the opposite. We had multiple nice visits there, friendly staff and closes early too. The immediate surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful after 9 PM Saturday night The ability to temporarily pull up to the ground level front door to unload vehicle was handy. So many food and drink options within a few minute walk and great hiking trails right behind building up into hills west of TC were also great. Would stay again for sure. The history of the facility is very interesting and would recommend taking one of the tours available.

We loved Dave's place! The house was very comfortable and access to the lake was excellent. My family loved being able to fish and play in the lake when we weren't out sight seeing in Traverse City. We had the resort all to ourselves the week we were there, so it was our own private oasis!

Great location where we needed to be and Eric was very accommodating by letting us in a little early, wound recommend this place and wound stay there again.

We appreciated the local chips and beer and special dog cookie. This is a great spot and we are thankful it is dog friendly.

We had such an amazing time at Rhonda and Ken’s place that we decided to extend our stay within the first 24 hours of arriving. The space was beautiful and peaceful. Very spacious and clean kitchen and living area. We had so much fun sitting on the porch, our dog loved it too! We also enjoyed the small lake in the back and the yard space. Definitely a piece of heaven that we will remember forever. Rhonda and Ken were so welcoming and helpful too.

Craig’s cabin was absolutely beautiful and if you want to get away from all the craziness and take a moment of true peacefulness this is the place.

This was an adventure for us and we loved it! We loved the rural location, the privacy, the loft bed(room) was cool. When I first climbed up the ladder and saw how cute and comfy it was up there, I was SOLD! We had had a long drive that day in rain all day and I was at the end of my rope with the weather and the drive. However, once we unpacked and sat down and had a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers, suddenly all was right in my little world! The next day was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the Green Point Dunes hike down to a very picturesque Lake Michigan, then the Point Betsie Lighthouse and finally Sleeping Bear Dunes. Loved meeting and chatting with Lisa and meeting her sons. Stay here, you'll love it!

We stayed with another couple at this condo for a golf trip and loved everything about it! Convenient location and the views are unrivaled! The condo was very clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable! The hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating! It was a lovely stay and we would definitely recommend it!

Sunset Glory has been our "go-to" ski weekend rental for years! We Love the apartment and being right in town and so close to the Highlands!

My 4 kids, husband and I have been coming to Shanty creek resorts for over 10 years. This is the first time we stayed somewhere other than the resort hotels. We enjoyed we were able to bring our dog on this trip, we had a kitchenette, and we did more in the area because we had to drive ourselves. This gave us a chance to explore and save more money. By staying in a place more reasonable than the hotel and we were able to cook ourselves and didn't have the added expense of a dog sitter. 4girls sharing one bathroom worked out better than I thought. We had such an amazing time here for our bachelor/bachelorette party! It had plenty of space for all of us and it was absolutely beautiful! Jenna was so responsive about everything especially when the air conditioning wasn’t working right and got it fixed immediately which we were so thankful for! We absolutely loved our trip!
