4 double rooms (3 beds 120x200 cm.; 1 bed 160x200 cm.) for total of 8 p. in a large sheep farm house for short or long term. Access to the living room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry room with dryer. Quiet&relaxing atmosphere in a “House Museum” offered by open minded gay couple who have travelled to more than 223 territories. We live in a sheep farm not far from Djúpivogur village with our border collie dog Prada. Possibility to host the ninth person in a living room on a sofa bed if necessary.

Fjord 1

The house, „Fjörður" was build in 1906 and has been in the same familiy since then. Fjörður, which is appr. 140 m2, is on 2 floors and comes with a big garden. The main floor consists of 2 livingrooms (one of them has a double bed), fully equipped kitchen with a dinner table, 1 bathroom with a shower, and a loundry room. The upper floor consists of 4 bedrooms, each with 2 beds, there is also one children bed and 3 extra mattresses. Please note the house is very old. The stair is very steep.

A rustic and homely house on a remote sheep farm

Our farm is the easternmost habitat place on Iceland and extremely remote. We are surrounded by mountains and the ocean, and there are many hiking options. We have a lighthouse here along with a small weather station. Our little farm gets closed off from the world during the winter months, so it's the perfect opportunity for those that seek a break from just about everything. You probably couldn't imagine a more peaceful and quiet place, where you are also welcomed to join us in any activities.

Entrance is from a big terrace that can be enjoyed during the stay Apartment offers a well equipped kitchen & a cosy living room. Downstairs is a big bedroom for 2-4 people. A double bed & two single beds. Bathroom with shower and washing/Dryer machine is available. Spectacular mountain and fjord view. Ideal for couples, families or group of friends.

Wir haben ein wirklich freundliches und helles Apartment im Herzen von Fáskrúdsfjördur geschaffen.❤ Ich liebe es, auf dem gemütlichen Schaukelstuhl aus weichem Leder zu sitzen und bei einer Tasse Kaffee ins Grüne zu blicken. Es ist einfach entspannend. Praktisch ist auch, dass der Supermarkt gleich um die Ecke ist, oder der Handwerksladen und das französische Museum keine 10 Minuten Gehzeit entfernt liegen. Hier kann man es gut ein paar Tage aushalten und in Ruhe die Gegend erkunden. 😊

Peaceful cottage blue in the countryside.

Beautiful, warm and cozy cottage with beds for up to 4 people. It's located in the countryside 18 km from the town Egilsstaðir on road 931. It's on the south side of the lake on the way to Hallormsstaður the biggest forest in Iceland. The next grocery store is in Egilsstaðir. Good paved road, passable all the year. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape, nice hiking trails down to the lake or up to the hills, good place to see the northern lights in wintertime.
