Had a brilliant stay. Middle of the countryside. Beautiful. Really felt relaxed and at home. Had everything that I needed. Claire is a wonderful person too. Glad she popped over for the chat. Even seen UFO’s Looking forward to going back someday.

Scott's place was great for what we needed Quiet tiny village with more sheep and rabbits in the Main Street than people most days If your looking for that out of the way place in a quaint homley cottage this is the one for you take what you need as the village doesn't have a shop so your a couple of miles or so from the nearest small store or 12 to the nearest small town but the views and the drive though the menock pass are well worth it Will definitely be back later in the year as it's handy for our trips and just loved it Wayne n Suzie

Appletreewick Cottage is a delightful place to stay in and Lauren a very friendly and responsive host. As well as being very clean, light and well equipped, it was a treat to stay somewhere with lovely pottery and colour throughout the house and use of the patio. It was great to have countryside on our doorstep for local walking and cycling, as well as cafes, shops and the hotel restaurant in Thornhill, and to be able to park straight outside the house. We had a lot of rain, so visiting the galleries in Kircudbright was an added bonus. We hope to go back!

A lovely apartment in a quiet location, with beautiful views from every window. Handily placed for Moffat's amenities, as well as the surrounding countryside- including Carrifran Wild Wood.
