A short drive away are the starting points for amazing hillwalking routes, forest trails and water sports. King size bed with an excellent mattress ensures a good nights sleep with birds outside singing as you wake up!

Briony gave me a warm and friendly welcome and showed me around. Good coffee, tea and fresh eggs were there as were all the essentials like salt, pepper and olive oil. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need. The bathroom, lounge and bedroom were all very clean and the latter two were really good spaces. I travelled alone as I was working in the area, but it's a perfect getaway for a couple. 10 minutes drive from Aviemore and around 25 minutes from the huge car park where you can start the climb up to Ben Macdui, which I did on the Sunday. I would definitely like to stay again in the future, as there will be many more places to explore from a place that felt like home.

Duncan's place is ideal for exploring the Highlands. It was spacious, clean, comfy and well equipped. Duncan is a very friendly host. Highly recommendable!
