“Really cosy and romantic cabin with plenty of space. We stayed in woodpecker lodge with a hot tub for three nights. For our first night we only had one neighbour but thankfully the hot tub is mostly covered by a wooden screen - the hot tub next door was the other side of some bushes and we could hear the others but it didn’t disturb us. Access to the hot tub was a little chilly as you can’t go from the cabin door down the steps to it, there’s a wooden ramp before hand but once you’re in the tub it’s lovely. The shop was shut when we went to visit for more drinks or kindling (you get enough for 1 fire) but we sent a message and they opened up quickly for us. We were given detailed maps and some recommendations of where to go and what to see. We did the pooh sticks walk which was about 3 miles in total and had some nice views. The amenities were clean but the crockery and cutlery was all poorly washed so we had to clean things as we used them - that’s most likely the fault of previous occupants though and not necessarily the hosts. All in all a positive experience, it was a relaxing, charming atmosphere and comfortable.”

“Russell and Liz were great hosts. Quick to reply to messages and friendly when we arrived. The space was warming and rustic. The fireplace and the exposed wooden beams gave it a great cosy vibe. The countryside offered an awesome walk to stretch our legs and get out! Unfortunately we couldn't visit the local amenities due to the COVID-19 outbreak but we were happy isolating indoors.”

There’s a great pub on the beach front and the village of Seatown is an unspoilt haven and perfect for cliff walking and exploring delightful Dorset. Humphrey was very helpful and gave me some good recommendations for coastal excursions x I thoroughly enjoyed my stay x”
