Million Dollar View

MonikaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had a fantastic first-time stay at Todd and Jessica's cottage. The cottage's front lawn comes to the water so it is easy and incredible to sit on the spacious patio and watch the tides, Spoon island, and numerous waterfowl like great blue herons, eagles, crows, seagulls and cormorants. The cottage is clean and well equipped, inc. two pairs of binoculars, games, and well equipped kitchen. The fire pit is beautiful and we had sufficient supply of wood. We appreciate being able to bring our dog - we walked the nearby Gagong Nature Preserve every morning and it was great. St. Stephen is nearby for convenience as is a great little local vegetable market (inc. fresh blueberries, NB honey and maple syrup) - on route 170 toward St. Stephen. We highly recommend the place! Thank you for your hospitality Jessica and Todd!

We loved our stay at Lisa’s cabin in Roque Bluffs. It was the perfect quiet stay for some R&R. The blueberry farm is beautiful and we hope to come back when they are ready for picking! We enjoyed hiking to the private beach and through the fields. Lisa gave great recommendations for food options also.

The Sweet Escape - Fully Serviced Apt in Shelburne

HarukiRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We stayed here with our 3 kids this fall. Amanda is an awesome host. She's very responsive, incredibly friendly and helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to make the stay easy and stress free. The place looked exactly like the pictures and was clean and cozy when we arrived, the neighborhood is very quiet and private, yet walking distance from downtown or just a couple minutes drive. Anything we needed or any questions we had, it was easy to get a hold of Amanda or one of the other co hosts and it was promptly addressed. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay here and would come back in a heartbeat!

Beautiful and relaxing location staying in a contemporary home which blends seamlessly with the setting. The rocky beach is down a staircase and we loved strolling and soaking in the sea air. The kitchen is very well equipped and we appreciated all the extras such as olive oil and spices. Kate is a very accommodating host and our short stay was really superb.

Bunkies by the Bay-The Beachcomber

LaurelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Staying at the Bunkie was so peaceful, we did not want to leave! I would recommend this place to everyone. Rhonda was an exceptional hostess and very friendly, helpful and available. The decor of the bunkie was outstanding! Could be in a magazine. They provided lots and lots of linens, games, puzzles, coffee, tea etc. We did not have even one need that wasn't met. Our puppy dog loved the area and he was very welcomed. The view from the deck chairs was outstanding! I would definitely stay here again and again! Thanks again, Rhonda!

Owl's Hollow - The Hut

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Peaceful spot on a serene lake. If you're looking to get away from it all, this is the spot to be. Make sure to read the listing carefully to know the kind of off-grid stay you are getting into and the check out responsibilities (like packing out your waste). Use of kayaks were a huge plus and an abundance of firewood was provided for nightly campfires. Hosts were responsive and helpful. The neighboring site is quite close and they could be noisy and see into your space.

Petite Retreat

JamesRating, 5 stars8 months ago
My dog, girlfriend, and I stayed at The Petite Retreat for my birthday and had a wonderful time. The area was close to the ferry and there were plenty of things to do in the area. Alana gave great recommendations on places to visit (highly recommend Cape Forchu) and there were some great food spots within a close driving distance. Alana was very reliable when it came to communication and instructions. The only drawback was that there was no running water but there is water access in the tiny home so very small problem with a easy solution. I will definitely be recommending The Petite Retreat to any friends interested in visiting Nova Scotia!!

Seaclusion Bunkie- Off Grid Tranquility

NicoleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a serene and magical location sitting right on the bay. Silence, solitude, and privacy with no neighbours in site. The brand new cabin is thoughtfully decorated and equipped with most everything one would need for glamping. The bed was super comfy with plenty of pillows and a heavenly duvet. We found the solar setup a bit intimidating/complicated but this is to no fault of the host as we are “technologically challenged” and didn’t contact him for help. The shower had plenty of hot water and strong pressure. We didn’t love the security camera pointing in the outdoor living space - even though Neil told us it wasn’t functioning. It did provide for some hilarious acting moments in front of the camera hahaha. The only thing missing is a small wood stove or propane fireplace for heat/ambiance. It’s can be chilly on the bay! Thank you for sharing your special retreat with us Neil & Debbie.

"Bayside Baby" - ocean resort town tiny house

BryanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved our long weekend at the quirky, cozy, and efficient Bayside Baby - only a ten minute drive to St. Andrews. The bed in the loft was extremely comfortable. There was ample hot water and ample chilled drinking water from a filtering machine. Strong Wifi. Cute bunnies hopping around the property. So sweet of Elspeth to write a welcome message to us on the chalkboard, and she was kind and flexible with us when we needed to make a change to our stay. Would definitely recommend!
