Lovely cozy cottage, clean and well kept property. Everything you need there for a little stay away. Not fair from lots of good walking/viewing spots if your in to walking like me. Easy to find, parking wasnt a problem at all, but is road parking. We will definitely come again.

We had a lovely, long weekend stay at Chert cottage. Great Longstone is an excellent location, with several pubs within walking distance. Beautiful scenery is on the doorstep, with places like Bakewell and Buxton a short drive away. Sarah was an excellent host - she was very responsive and we really appreciated the cake, milk and flowers on arrival. Chert cottage itself was great - very clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need - we particularly loved sitting out in the garden in the evening! Many thanks Sarah, we had a great time.

What a lovely place to stay. It was lovely and clean and the surroundings were beautiful. Easy to find and once we were there everything felt like home. The best part is waking up to the sheep each morning.

Myself, my partner and our dog had a wonderful few days at Bridgefoot cottage, the photos don't do it justice is is bigger than it looks and so cosy. the garden is such a gem our dog loved it, fully enclosed and the hot tub was perfect after a long walk in the morning. Cottage itself was pristine, full of character and had everything we needed so we didn't need to contact the host for anything additional but I'm sure he would have been quick to help if we needed it. We cooked most nights but did order from the Indian (menu in the welcome book) which was a lovely change, we also walked into Calver and had some cake from the cafe there next to the Spar shop which was delicious. Great location with lots of beautiful walks nearby, one starting over the bridge and another if you turn left out of the cottage and continue down the lane you will pass through sheep fields and find yourself at Froggat woods. It truly felt like a home away from home and we would love to return in the future

Beautiful cottage, felt so at home. The garden in particular was stunning. Beds were comfortable and the whole place was so clean and well equiped. The location is beautiful but do have to drive to a few things. We did the Curbar walk which is walkable from the cottage and is a lovely walk. We drove to Kinder Scout, Roaches, Luds Church, Hen Cloud and Millers Dale. Our dog loved the cottage, thank you so much we will ne back again 😊

We had such a lovely stay here, the place was private, well presented, neat and tidy. It had everything we needed and was a comfortable home away from home. The little town was also very nice and a short walk to a small village shop and pub. Alison was very friendly and welcoming. Would defnitely stay again if we come back to England.

2nd time staying here. the reading room is lovely small home from home. Has everything you need for a stay. always spotless and well presented and peaceful. the area is beautiful. hosts are always helpful and welcoming.

Booked this trip last minute and was not disappointed with our choice, the instructions for parking and how to find the cottage was spot on. Less then a couple minutes walk and you’re at all the coffee shops and pubs with a short drive to other villages and all the famous walks.

Just had a 3night stay here. Absolutely loved it. The caravan was very clean and had all we needed. The site is brilliant for all the family with plenty to do and a great base for exploring the surrounding areas. Highly recommend the Old Dog pub which is 5min drive from the site. We definitely book again

We had a great stay in Michelle and Marks place. A good location to get out on our bikes on the Tissington Trail with the kids. The kids also enjoyed the freedom of using the park area with other kids and plenty of places to walk the dog. A trip out to Carsington Water and Bakewell completed the stay. Fantastic responsive host. .

Absolutely beautiful lodge, spotlessly clean, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely return for a longer stay next time 💖

Fabulous place - we stayed for a week - with 2 teenagers, a preteen and our dog - great field opposite to run the dog morning and evening. Plenty of beautiful walks straight from the front door. 45 minutes to nearest place to eat out. Facilities were great - lots of swimming and football played by our kids. Thanks for a great stay.

Our stay at this beautiful house was most enjoyable. It's very rural. You can't really walk to places if you have young children. Not alot of footpaths. But if you want a nice quiet time to recharge your batteries this is the place. So relaxing. Well worth a visit. Will go back. Thank You. Chris and Hugh Maxwell and Family. 🥰

We had a lovely 2 night family break at Peacock Barn over October half term. It's a beautiful property with fantastic amenities and perfectly located for exploring the many sites and activities the area has to offer. The swimming pool and games room provided the children with a space to play and have fun which was a key factor for choosing this property. The garden was great for our dog providing plenty of space to run around and secure, providing peace of mind. It would be the perfect spot to enjoy during the summer months. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for having us!

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay! The place was clean and there was plenty of space for all 8 of us (and our dog!). The area is stunning, very quiet with plenty of nice walks. The pool/games room area is shared with the other cottages, which wasn't made clear when booking. We thought it was part of our cottage, which we were slightly disappointed to find out this wasn't the case. However, overall we'd still consider staying here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Annabel’s and will definitely be going back asap! It was perfectly peaceful with gorgeous surroundings and was even better than the pictures! The pool was much bigger than we thought and was such a joy to have, the decking area was huge with stunning views and the garden truly magical! This was great value for money! Annabel was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly and the animals were all very friendly too! The cats didn’t come to close though as we had our dog, who had a dream just roaming free! Thanks Annabel, be back soon !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jane's cottage. Jane was very responsive and kindly left us some food and beverages which we were very grateful for. Cottage was a great size and very clean. would love to return in the future

A truly special getaway in the heart of nature. The tent in the woodland was peaceful, beautifully set up and was perfect for disconnecting from the world and spending quiet, quality time together. Celebrating my husband's birthday here was unforgettable. Waking up to birdsong, sitting by the firepit, and simply enjoying each other’s company in such a calming space meant so much to us. Thank you for creating such a magical place. We’ll cherish these memories forever.❤️

Jane met us as we arrived and was very friendly, approachable and welcoming. The accommodation was very modern and clean. It had everything we needed for the weekend and even some milk for our teas and coffees. Located at the end of a gravel track, you are in the middle of beautiful surroundings and a quiet and peaceful setting. We had a lovely couple of nights staying here and was a great base for walks around the Peak District. We would definitely recommend staying here and we will stay here again for sure. Such an amazing place with all elements beautiful crafted to create a warm and inviting space. Had the best stay here, with such a responsive and informative host !! Wish we could’ve stayed longer as we felt right at home. Everything was so well thought out and with the best intentions as well, Tupperware, a thermos, large brollies etc etc The most enchanting place !! <3

The most perfect place to stay for the Peak District. The location is ideal if you are wanting to explore & have amazing walks. The house was so helpful fully equipped with more than the basics - easy to live in and helpful for cooking. The host was so helpful and we had super easy communication. The area was so quiet and peaceful, gorgeous garden & very comfortable beds. Also not far to Castleton which is a gorgeous village

We had a lovely time at Matchbox cottage it was very cosy and clean and had great local pubs, walks on the doorstep. Hope to visit again soon :)
