Welcome to The Chrysalis; a place for transformations!! I affectionately refer to her as “my seaside cabin in the woods”. The 400sq ft. tiny home sits on 4.5 acres of land with a fairytale driveway. We are located just 3 miles outside Mentone city limits, right off of Alabama Hwy. 117. Please make yourself at home. You’re welcome to use anything I have. This place has showed me what’s needed in life; let me share it with you. Dream BIG! Live Tiny
“Although I was unable to actually stay because of my own travel plans being disrupted, I wanted to leave a review so I chose not to cancel my plans. Amanda went way above Airbnb standards, she excepted my reservation with a dog, she communicated extremely well about how to check in and where my key would be, she even offered to move my stay to a different date. I am a host as well and everything that Amanda did is exactly what we look for in stays. If you are booking with Amanda you can expect a wonderful experience.”
Romantic Mentone Cabin in wooded area laden with oaks and pines, near walking trails, picturesque lake, and more. The perfect getaway for a restful weekend, or for enjoying the quaint village of Mentone's award-winning cafes, artist's galleries, and festivals.
“Cathy’s cabin was great!! Super clean, tons of nice clean towels, great hot tub, so peaceful and quiet, well laid out, big comfy beds with soft sheets, a large master bath, easy check in and out. Cathy’s communication was quick. Loved it!!”
Rustic cabin in the woods, cozy inside with multiple spaces to enjoy the peaceful outdoors. Great for a romantic get-away or small family vacations. Open living area downstairs and large loft bedroom upstairs (sleeps 4), plus two decks and a screened-in front porch. Pet friendly! Conveniently nestled between DeSoto State Park & Falls, Little River Canyon and Mentone, and close to Fort Payne. Fireplace and outdoor firepit. Please note there is no air conditioning, just mountain breezes.
“The cabin is a great getaway! Woods outback were great for hiking. The boulders out back are impressive and fun to climb. Also, Little River Canyon (I recommend the drive and overlooks on the West rim of the canyon) and Desoto State park both offer great hiking, scenic views, and waterfalls!!! Both are within 15 minutes from the cabin.”
