Chalet vacation rentals in Dargo

Such a wonderful and fairytale feeling chalet with an amazing fireplace and plenty of character and charm. Walking distance from the main township, toboggan hill, and a 15minute drive to Mt Hotham. Most things were closed (which Josie let us know, prior) because of C19 and the bus wasn’t running with the delayed start to the season. We found vodafone had great reception despite being let know there was no coverage, which helped booking things online. As it was just the two of us, we still made the most of it, driving into Hotham ($56 a day) walking the tracks around the DP township, relaxing by the fire, and having dinner at the DP hotel. I would seriously recommend researching and booking anything in advance, including checking if the bus is running (it was not, but should be from the 29th), restaurants, and any lift / ski hire, as so much of this is affected by C19 and not much snowfall (yet!). Overall, we had the best time and would stay again in this magical town and chalet!

Very cosy mountain chalet in very good order and condition. Everything worked well. Plenty of firewood supplied - great for such a montane location. A plethora of engaging activities around without even strapping on skis or a snowboard. Good arrival instructions from host.

Great place to stay, very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen with everything you can imagine. Very warm with great open fire and slow combustion heater. Heaps of games , pool table converts to table tennis table and darts board. Very convenient to both Perisher valley via ski tube, and thredbo for great father/son ski weekend.

Troy and Lisa were unreal, we had an unreal Easter due to how easy it was to get in and how clean it was.

Crackenback Castle was an ideal stay for the family to serve as a base for day walks in the Thredbo area at the end of autumn and before the start of the winter ski season. Comfortable and cosy bedrooms with effective RC heating and log fire with nice views of the mountain and lounge and kitchen that caught the winter sun. Very pleasant stay.

Marty’s property was exactly as listed. It met our needs perfectly. Walking distance to all local amenities but still being a quiet and peaceful location. Would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The accommodation was comfortable, spacious, and easily accessible, making it perfect for our family holiday in the snow. The host was incredibly responsive and always available to answer our questions, which made our experience even better. We had everything we needed for a great trip and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Tanjil Creek Lodge. It was the perfect spot to stay on the mountain for a group of 12 of us. We will definitely be coming back to stay!

Great stay at Dinner Plains, walk to shops and pub. Good sized drying room off the mud room, and washing machine/dryer if needed.

We loved our holiday in the Red Onion. It had all you could possibly want for a fabulous ski holiday. The chalet was thoughtfully equipped with all the basics plus so many wonderful extras, which made for a delightful stay (laundry powder, herbs and spices, huge range of books and entertainment). Di and George were wonderful hosts who gave us clear and easy to follow instructions with thoughtful local information and welcoming treats too. We would definitely like to return to the charming Red Onion in the future.

Great play overlooking lake with deer. Kangaroos, ducks and birds frequently seen beside lake. Well equipped kitchen.

I know we paid top dollar to be in the village during the school holidays. But to accommodate the 4 family groups, 7 adults, 7 kids, into other on snow accommodation would have cost more. The Glacier Chalet allowed us to bond and relax with all the facilities we needed. It was so good to have three generations of the family together creating treasured memories they'll never forget. Either on the slopes, in the village or at the chalet. The Buller Resort itself did a great job given they haven't yet had a heap of snow this season. The lift and lessons tag system was efficient and George's Snow equipment rentals were a great help. I booked online and got the 15% discount. Rob, George's son and his wife Andrea were great, as we're all their staff. Extremely ethical picking up a mistake I had made when ordering and gave me a credit. We all had a great family vacation we'll never forget. I may not not get to do it all over again with the extended family. But I'm sure I'll be back.

My partner and I stayed at Gordon's Brumby Chalet for the opening weekend in Thredbo and we had an amazing time! The chalet is beautifully presented, extremely clean, and Gordon very kindly had set us up with fire wood every day that we were there. We were very impressed with his kind hospitality. It was lovely to wake up and eat breakfast looking out to cows and kangaroos, and I hope the new baby is doing well!

Very pleasant & peaceful stay. Beautiful outlook. Place was recently renovated, very comfortable.

There were some incidentals left out for us on arrival, specific to our reason for travelling to the snowy mountains - very much appreciated! Also, the property information and communications during our stay were proactive and well received. Great stay in a great spot, would recommend.

Had such a lovely weekend away at Gordon’s chalet!! The pictures didn’t do justice for how beautiful the place is, and the house was a great size and had everything you need. We were also super lucky to have a sprinkling of snow on our last day which topped it off. Overall such a great place and I will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a weekend away!!
